Shirley Sherrod USDA: Andrew Breitbart Blog Post, Video Create NAACP Nightmare

Shirley Sherrod is the USDA official who was forced to leave her post after Andrew Breitbart, a conservative blogger, launched a post in which he took a snippet of a speech that the leader gave and took it out of context. The clip showcased Sherrod telling the audience about how she didn't help a white farmer as much as she could have, because he was white and he acted as if he felt he was her superior.

What the clip didn't show was that Shirley was using that experience to showcase how she herself got past racial biases. Based on the clip, a host of individuals began to believe that Sherrod is, indeed, a racist.

This is not good for any government official or body of government, and that is likely why she was forced to give her resignation. Although after the incident was brought to light, it became apparent that the video was clearly misguided and misinterpreted.

USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack has offered the woman her job back, although it is uncertain as to whether or not she will accept his offer. We could see it go either ways, both of them completely understandable.

Another thing that isn't for certain at this point is whether or not Shirley Sherrod is going to sue Andrew Breitbart for the blog post. He cost her economic harm, and acted in negligent manner. It will be interesting to see what transpires soon.

  1. Breitbart's blog was not directed at Sherrod as a racist but rather to the crowd at the NAACP meeting cheering when she was relating her past experience concerning not helping a white farmer.

His point was to show the gathering's apparent racial bias as demonstrated by their reaction to Sherrod's words at that point in her speech.

It is evident by the Press's reporting that they are discarding the evident racism within the NAACP but rather attacking Breitbart with intentional misrepresentation of his posting concerning Sherrod & the NAACP

  2. Sherrod is a "Racist". She accuses FOX of being reacist when they came to her defense before it was politically correct to do so! She turns around the very next day and says she will not talk to them because they are the Racists! She is a liar and a phony and should be s--- canned immediately.......

  3. jkmcgowan...Fail. Even on that level Breitbart loses. What about the fact of the audience
"mmm-hmmmed" and nodded in agreement when Sherrod began talking about helping the white farmer and how she overcame her prejudices. Furthermore did Breitbart actually say that the target of his irresponsible hit piece was the NAACP and not Sherrod? That's the kind of clarification that would have helped beforehand, and not after the fact, you disingenuous schmucks.

  4. The Conservative Right, better known to you and me as the Nazi's will undertake whatever dubious and scurrilous activities to unhinge our Government and usurp the Democratic process. They use and foment terror as it is the underpinning of their cause because to engage in the actual debate of ideas is FOREIGN to them. Perhaps they should all be given a time out or made to stand in the corner and wear Dunce caps!

  5. Breitbart asked for the complete tape. NAACP sat on it. He did not ask for Sherrods resignation, Obama did.
Breitbart is just too smart for the left. That is why they are so upset.
Forget the fact that no one questions that one of their own was offered up as a sacrifice, without even looking into the case.
Obama, Gibbs Sherrod, NAACP - their own actions and words reveal their corrupt intentions.

  6. Breitbart is further proof that a fool with a blog is as dangerous as a fool with a gun or with a bomb strapped to himself. The "Conservative Right" or "Tea Party" or whatever-the-f they call themselves are a disgrace to the real conservative values of the past.
Speaking of those values, does anyone in the far right happen to remember this one:
"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor."

  7. Obama DID NOT fire Sherrod. That is wrong. And Breitbart DID NOT ask for the full tape from the NAACP. BS.

  8. Hey Ralph, just admit what you really want, our black slaves back. don't be afraid. We whites are the better race and black people should be our slaves, come on, just admit it. don't be afraid of these homos, you've got God on your side, and God gave you black slaves. God did not want Barrack Obama to take our black slaves away. These liberal heathens are defying Jesus, who said, "Let all thy white people taketh alleth they needeth and more. Amen"

  9. Ralph -- one could put all you miscreants in a sack and pull out anyone of you and find that you're all identical. No dear Ralph, the hate emanates from the likes of you and Mr. Brietbart.

You, like he, may not be 'racist' (in whatever vague definition you choose to use) but at the very least you qualify hands-down as a race-baiter.
