2010 Unemployment Extension - Democrat Debbie Stabenow's Standalone Benefits Bill

The 2010 unemployment extension is important, and unemployment extension 2010 passage has not transpired yet. The discussions are continuing on, and Democrat Debbie Stabenow is among those who want a standalone bill passed for unemployment.  It comes as no surprise, given that Michigan, Stabenow's home state, has among the highest unemployment rates.

Michigan has been hit hard by the Chrysler and GM woes, with Auto City turning into a mere ghost town. From Detroit to Flint and around the state there are many Americans in the State of Michigan that have been without a job for over six months.

Currently, state benefits only last six months.  Before June 2, 2010 there were up to 99 weeks of benefits available including state and also emergency unemployment compensation from the federal government.

Michigan was among the states eligible for all 99 weeks of benefits.

Will a standalone measure be passed? It seems as if Americans are becoming political pawns in a power tug of war.  Trying to please both the Republicans and the Democrats is all but impossible.  Republicans all but refuse to increase deficit spending.  Democrats won't use unused stimulus funds to pay for the measure.

In the meantime, many are approaching yet another holiday weekend, unable to enjoy it with their families because they are worried about what is going to happen next.

And the Senators? Oh. They will get to enjoy a leisurely long break and enjoy Independence Day with their families while their constituents hope and pray for change.

  4. Just please,,,,,,,,DO NOT VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS !!!

Amazing how they dont care for the people that gave them the power......

Democrats should post the names and citys where Republicans live,,, maybe show their houses,,,their cars,,,Thats why they dont care about the small people....SAD....

  6. This is a time for all of us that believe in Christ to come together in prayer. Prayer changes things!!! The word says that anything we shall ask for in Christ name shall be given unto us.....Even if you don't always pray...this is the time. May God Bless all of you today! May God Bless those that are the decision makers...even though God has power over all of us! Amen

  8. This not passing is giving me such stress and anxiety that I'm losing A LOT of hair in a very short time and I accidently broke my teeth. That's how much pain I'm going to be for the 4th of July Holiday.

Thanks all you fatcat reps on ALL LEVELS. I'm sure you'll be enjoying your 4th of July!

  9. It absolutely sickens me that the senators and congress are turning a blind eye to this unemployment situation. They need to step out into the real world and see what is going on. They have no worries - if they would clean their own house and lay off some of their workers maybe they would look at this situation differently. What it looks like to me is that
someone needs to win whether it be the democrats or the republicans. One side needs to be the victor and until either the democrats or republicans give up the winning issue against themselves the people of the U.S are being hurt.
Instead of sending money overseas to help other countries it should stay here to help the American people. When the elections are being held - all the politicians talk about is "I am for the American people" bull. To all the families that will not have food or be able to pay your bills - my heart goes out to you. But remember November when it is time to vote - remember those in the Senate will was so stubborn on their own views that they would not help the American public.

..The Senators offer an idea of decreasing each foodstamp reciptant who recievs them by 11dollars a month..Each State do their part to help pay for it. Now..if they could cut some of the foodstamps from reciptants like 40 dollars each that could pay for it. Easily.. Tripling the amount in question . YOU ask how are they going to make up for that to the people who are already stuggling to put food on their table.. the CONCLUSION...The people can well make up for it in the lost of foodstamps by clipping coupons.. i myself has turn 155 dollar food purchase and only paid 55 dollars... if i can do it.. ANYONE can. I know it sounds heartless to take from others to help us.. but i say its time to to start sharing what some have with the one's who dont..... Manufactures makes the coupons, the newspapers distributes the coupons, the stores accept the coupons, the consumers purchase food using coupon,,, hence JOBS, ECONOMY STEADY, EVERYONE SATISFIED!! Think about it :)

I firmly believe that a little revolution every now and then is a good thing. So did our founding fathers. As the Fourth of July approaches this is very much on the minds of many Americans. Without the passage of this unemployment extension bill millions will be denied the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!!!!!!!!! King George got his ASS kicked. It's time to do the same to both houses of Congress.

Recall your senator or congressman that voted no.
This is not a joke. If you begin a recall, with a legitimate complaint, and believe me, you have one. It would be for malfeasance. The opposition should pick up on it, and help you out. You can advertise that you have done so on

You may not win, but at least you can make them sweat, and very likely you will help them lose elections next fall.

We have one ignorant democrat senator, I think he is from Wisconsin that voted with the Republicans. Everyone has to remember it is not just about the rising deficit with the Republicans they are the rich tycoons. They represent big business and they do not want big business taxes raised. Their pockets have been PADDED with bribe money. I sure hope the unemployed step out in record numbers in November. I fear for the country while in a recession with Republicans running it that care nothing about the little guy. By the way I am from Ohio. Voinovich YOU ARE OUT.

Democrats have also voted against various extensions. Additionally, there is absolutely nothing that Obama can do to extend unemployment b/c our US constitution gives that power to Congress, unless Obama can amend the constitution, (obviously unlikely) he does not have the power. It is easy to place blame when you're ignorant to the issues.

Job #2: Pallet company: Laid everyone off and closed their doors
Job #2: Manufacturing Company: Laid off due to automotive industry downfall

I have been laid off from my last job since January 2009. We need this bill passed NOW!!!! Maybe I should run for office. I know how to make a pot of soup from one potatoe or find enough change to buy a gallon of milk. I can relate to the unemployed. I have $2.88 in my checking account, 1/4 tank of gas in my car and if this bill isn't passed we will lose our house, our car,our utilities will be shut off. I have no health insurance if I get ill and to top it off my husband was one of the Marines that were poisened by toxic water at Camp Lejeune. The government sent us a letter with this information and they are dragging their heals on this problem too. Many Marines and their families are waiting for answeres. My husband served our country and they are taking forever in approval of his VA disability. We are up to our ears in medical bills and have for 23 years lived from pay check to pay check paying these medical bills. 43. I was just told that I do not qualify for food stamps even though I have no unemployment or money coming in. The only reason is that I'm a college student. This seems ridiculous to punish people who are trying to be responsible and get an education to better themselves. I have busted my butt and have a perfect 4.0 GPA but may have to drop classes b/c I can't even afford to eat with no job. I recently worked for the census but they ran out of work and have worked full time since I was 15, am 30 now. I've applied for every new job I see, every day, and am willing to work full time and do school if someone would even call me back for a job. This is the most disheartening thing that I've ever faced, and I can only pray that relief comes soon for everyone in this situation. I can't even imagine if I had a family to support, I feel for everyone out there struggling.

  46. It is true that both parties are using unemployed Americans as political pawns. But, that said, it was the Republican Party that chose to make this the battleground. We need to get more fiscally responsible, have for years, but harming a million and a half deserving American families to prove a political point is reprehensible. I have often voted Republican in the past, I will never do so again. If the Republicans continue to offer amendments requiring us to be drug tested, insist on picking which pocket the money comes out of, limiting our insurance, etc. we will never see another dime of the insurance we worked years for. Let every elected Republican official know that this tactic is going to backfire = we will Remember in November.

How can either side win? Niether party was voted in to "PLAY" politics, with our lives, they were voted in, to do the things that represent the people. 53. It is true that the system needs work. It is true that both parties are trying to get votes. And, long term, it is true the system needs major change. In the short term, there is only one way to get the payments re-started and that is to convince the Republican Party that their strategy will backfire in November. Unless we pick a side, the stalemate will go on forever - which is the Republican goal, hence the fillibuster. If we want to get payments restarted, we need to contact any Republican we can and tell them we will vote against them in the next election. Political pressure, at this moment, is our only recourse.

  67. Subject Act IMMEDIATELY to extend jobless benefis

Message I am writing to urge congrees and senate to take action on renewing federal unemployment benefit extensions. The House must immediately introduce and pass a stand-alone bill that extends the deadline for eligibility for Emergency Unemployment Compensation program and the full federal funding of Extended Benefits through November of this year. For too long, unemployed workers and their families have suffered the anxiety and stress that comes with all the stop-gap extensions that Congress has been passing, and given the still high rates of unemp loyment in this country, and the 5.3 million people who are receiving federal benefits, these programs need to continue at least through the end of November.

It's critical that the House approve these measures immediately to prevent further interruptions in these important programs. Please act now and make sure that millions do not face continuing joblessness coupled with an end to benefits that have kept us afloat so far.

I'm a 50 year old male who has been working since I was 13 years old, I have two degrees, have over 20 years in Civil, Structural, Public Utilities, Municipal, Enviornmental and Arch. Cad Designer experience. I'm LEED Certified in Green Energy Building, and Certified as a BPI Analyst and Energy Auditor and still can't find work after 1-1/2 years unemployed. In Feb, this year I survived a heart attack and 2 months later I survived a cancerous mass in my right kidney. My kidney had to be removed. You can see the stress of being unemployed has placed on me and millions of others and now takeing away the small amount of benefits I was receiving is only adding to the stress. Please have some compasion for those who have voted you into your position. Don't turn back on us now. You wouldn't do that to your family. Or would you? You make the decision, millions of people and their familys lie in your hands. If you decide to put us all out on the streets you will have to live with that on your conceince. If you have one. Don't delay this bill anymore. Good, honest, hard working Americans are starving and loosing everything they own, and for what. So you and your buddies up on the hill can live in a life of abundants that our tax money has given each and everyone of you. Look in the mirror and see the man you are and then look again and see the man you could be. God knows who he wants you to be, are you ready to be that man?

  71. Well folks its kinda sad and disturbing that 3 votes could cause a family to lose their house, not have the money to pay a basic bill like electricity, and yet do any of the elected people in government have to worry about their bills getting paid?? Or to worry if their going to have their car repossessed?? Are they gonna end up on the streets due to non payment of rent or mortgage?? No, none of them will have to worry about any of it. Even a ignorant Utah senator said that the unemployed are lazy and just use drugs!

Unfortunately, the only way real change, NOT OBAMAMS LINE OF "CHANGE" CRAP, and that is a complete replacement of every single politician in office at the moment and replaced with people who actually give a crap about America and not how much money they can steal. They are all criminals and need to be booted out of office.

Now I know the chances of any real change in this country is extremely small due to the government has made it to where most everyday Americans are unwilling to stand up and do something against the tyrany of our government.

The forefathers of this country clearly state that is the government becomes to greedy/powerful that it is the sole respondsibility of the American people to stand up and remove them from office.. Not to just sit back and just accept the fact that our government is all about big money/corporations, that the people that get elected are only worried about how much money they can steal from Americans, or to just sit back and watch this country continue down this path to total destruction...

I'll bet the forefathers of this great country are looking down at this moment with such sadness, as I know this is not the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that they had envisioned...

  75. Lets all give a grand applause to our elected officials in government, they can give billions to the rich and crap to the average everyday American. They will be out partying and enjoying themselves while thousands of Americans will be out on the street, families will lose all their possessions, and yes there will be some people who will die due to not being able to pay their electric bill so no air or even a running fan to combat the extreme temps that are being seen around the country.

But hey maybe OBAMAS CHANGE CRAP will help lol Nah j/k. Obama will probably end up giving billions to wall street or some banker. Gee we can have all kinds of t.v. shows getting money for people in other countries while the people in the good ol USA are just tossed under the bus.

They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat o r Republican. Facts are Facts!!!
Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed . [9]
An old Social Security card with the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message.
    Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
    Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
    Completely voluntary,

    No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
    Incomes into the Program,

    Now 7.65%
    on the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

    No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the
independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
    Retirement Program, and no other
    Government program, and,

Under Johnson the money was moved to
    The General Fund and Spent

    5) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income

    Under Clinton & Gore
Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month --
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put
away' -- you may be interested in the following:

    ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ----

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
    controlled House and Senate.

    ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

    A: The Democratic Party.

    ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -----

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
    Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

    ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
    giving annuity payments to immigrants?

    AND MY FAVORITE:

    A: That's right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

    ------------ -- ------------ --------- ----- ------------ --------- ---------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

The worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it and believe that the Democats are "for the people."

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
    sure of what isn't so.

But it's worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?

Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM

, That being said, it is paid for for our benefit. If politicians had to live by the same rules as us that elect them, there would be some serious changes.I believe in the email being circulated sponsoring an amendment to the constituion, that no bill be passed by Congress that does not also apply to Congress members. Why if the Health Reform Bill is good enough for all other Americans, is it not good enough for the law makers?
If they can't pass an extension before they leave for thier 4th holiday, let them stay and suffer with us 'common' people who won't be able to do anything because of worry and lack of funds.
ALL political offices should be limited to no more than two terms, and no business moneies should be allowed to help elect public officials.

  100. As of today I found out that my 6 months of unemployment are coming to an end that as of July 13th I will only have a one week check. I have never got an extension, I have honestly tried with all I have to get a job. I have worked since I was 13 I am 35 now, I have paid my dues. I am a single mother with no child support, I have returned to college and am still looking for a job. I have only had 2 interviews, have had a great job history & referrences before I was laid off. I have plenty of skills that could land me a job just about anywhere. It is summer, a lot of students have taken open part time jobs even. I live in a county that already is the hardest hit for un-employment in Florida. Not to mention the oil spill that is already starting another economic tragedy in this State. I was not prepared to hear that I would not even get an extension, that everything will stop? I am a homeowner thankfully - but will I become one of the many that have lost their homes because of this shocker? I have thankfully been able to hold on this far. I can understand un-employment ending for the people who are not trying to find a job. Yet I have documented proof that I have turned into Tallahassee that I am doing more than what is required to find a job. The only thing I can say to all of the people that will be impacted by this is PRAY! That is why we are all in this situation, look at the world, the things that are going on around us, these are things that we need to pay close attention too! God is trying to get our attention. Like in the Christmas story if everyone believed Santa would be able to fly his sleigh. Why can't we all just believe in God, pray, and have faith! I truly think that if we all pulled together and prayed on this our outcomes will be better! I really think Obamma is a people person, that he does care, and I think he will try to help us. On the other hand the world is broke, we have not recovered from the economy crashing. I agree create jobs, jobs that will help us pay our bills, and put our children in safe daycares, to put food on the table. I could care less about a vacation, I just want to be able to find a job and pay my bills! Please pray all, I know God will see us through this no matter what! If more people stop living in greed, and being materialistic, learn to reach out and love your neighbor, do the things that God expects of us things, will surly eventually get better. I know that life is not easy but we can be a big part of this population that can make a change!

  101. ok, an answer to some of the questions above. Democrats are a majority in the Senate, BUT new laws must have a 2/3 majority vote so the Republicans have been successful so far in stopping all action on the extension with fillibusters, bogus amendments, and votes. The HOUSE is now trying to send a fourth bill to the senate on unemployment. It may not pass the House due to Republican obstruction. If it does it will join the original bill, a Republican stand alone bill that designates funding in a way Democrats will not agree to, and a Democratic stand alone that only has the support of one Republican. Until more than one Republican can find it in his or her heart to support the unemployed, nothing is going to help us.

I try but I know it's not going to happen. Due to bad timing, I've gotten hit by every single recession since the 1970s and so I don't have all that much to show for all those years. I'm single, no children. I'm just sitting here listening to the Congress and all the bills and issues they are putting forward and just wanted to mention that, like all of you, I never complained when my taxes went to pay for government assistance to someone in need, never complained when my taxes went to necessary free day care centers and various school issues. I don't even drive and I can't imagine how many miles of road I've chipped in for over the years. Makes this whole thing seem even harsher. 110. Let’s look at some numbers that perhaps the ones who vote against an extension have not. I have seen higher numbers and lower numbers then this but let’s look at 10 million a nice round number. These 10 million “numbers” (we are numbers to them not people) are affected by this bill not passing and senators most likely do not care and assume there is not enough “numbers” to vote them out.

Let’s say ½ of these “numbers” are married with a voting spouse that “number” is 5 million.
Let’s say ½ of this “number” has one voting parent that feels for the situation there child is in, that is 5 million.
Let’s say ½ of this “number” has at least one voting father or mother in-law that feels for the situation that is 5 million.
Let’s say ½ of this “number” has voting siblings or in-laws (brother or sister) that feel for those in this situation that is 5 million.

Now what has that “number” become? This “number” increases to a potential 30 million VOTES. I believe this to be a *cough* conservative *cough* estimate as I have not covered any employed friends or any family beyond parents. You could easily add voting children to this list as well.

I believe there is power in those numbers (or as I prefer to believe people) and those against these American people, deficit or not, will reap the fruits of their “labor” come November if we can all survive that long. I know even if I were blessed enough to become employed today or any time before November, there vote is sealed in my book.

The Democrats could come out as heroes on this if they would just come out and publicly state for the good of our country, its people, and the economy we will meet the republican demands to get this issue passed. The damage to the republican party is done the Democrats just need to wake up and take the finishing blow.

  112. House fails to move standalone umemployment extention bill

By Paul Schmelzer 6/29/10 2:57 PM
The U.S. House of Representatives failed to pass H.R. 5618, the standalone bill that would’ve extended unemployment benefits. The measure went down in a 261-155 vote. House Democrats suspended certain rules to try to push the bill through on a two-thirds majority. As Open Congress reports, “277 votes (a 2/3rds majority of those present and voting) were needed under the suspension of the rules procedure that was used by the Democrats in order to avoid Republican obstruction tactics.”
The bill would’ve extended unemployment benefits until Nov. 30, 2010. Writes Open Congress:

Republicans opposed the bill because it’s costs, approximately $34 billion, were not offset with new revenue. Since the financial crisis of 2008, Congress has routinely passed UI extension bills without offsets because benefit payments to help the unemployed are considered “emergency spending” and are not subject to pay-as-you-go rules.

The bill that was rejected today would have extended UI benefit payments, which expired in late May, until November 30, 2010. Without the extension, some 1.7 million unemployed people will lose their payment by Jul 3. Benefits for the unemployed will continue to run out at a rate of about 200,000 per week until an extension is signed into law.

Minnesota’s congressional delegates voted along party lines, with one exception: Rep. James Oberstar didn’t vote.

Today’s development leaves Democrats with two options: either they must try to pass it under normal rules — which requires a simple majority — or they can try to find revenue to offset the costs of the extension. But the bill’s not dead; for now it goes back to the Rules Committee, where it’ll await another vote.

But the bill’s not dead; for now it goes back to the Rules Committee, where it’ll await another vote.

  114. Use the stimulus money and extend tier 4 and add tier 5 and do it now. It is funny that i have not heard any of these scumbag politicians talk about their kids and grandkids lately. I have this to say to the politicians. Fuck your kids and grandkids and fuck the deficit.

  116. I so don't understand why some the stimulus can't be used to pay for the unemployment benefits at least until the end of the year. Perhaps they will realize that by cutting funds to those who are trying to find jobs will increase demands on other social programs like welfare & food stamps. One way or another the deficit will be affected. It is a shame that we can spend so much money on other countries when they are in crisis, but no one stands up for us. We are busy assuring the Afgans that we won't pull out until things are stable, but we leave our own Americans behind. They can take the extra $25 a wk and drug test, heck they can even add more strict rules to the job applying. Although, with any social program there are always those that abuse them, but the majority dont. The reality is unemployment is just enough to keep us above water, not live rich and lavish lives. So when you calculate the millions who loose their benefits also realize that their are others affected like innocent little children who depend on their parents to be able to provide. So that number doubles by how many Americans are affected. I have two within in my own home. I just pray that a move of God will move on the hearts of our Congress to do right by the American people.

  117. There are a lot of employed people who do not give a dam about people who have lost their jobs and on unemployment and cannot find a job. The place i worked at laid off 150 full time workers and then 2 weeks later hired 150 temporary workers. The government lets these companies get away with this. The Republicans are blocking the extensions because the Universal Health Care Bill passed. You see people with health insurance dont give a dam about people who have no health insurance. It is all about the rich and powerful and that goes for Republicans and Democrats. These politicians are worried about getting reelected and dont give a dam about the unemployed.

  118. USE THE STIMULUS MONEY AND EXTEND TIER 4 AND ADD TIER 5. PEOPLE CANNOT WAIT TILL NOVEMBER. VOTE NANCY PELOSI OUT. GET RID OF HER AND LET HER WORK AT WENDYS OR BURGER KING.

  119. Why did the American Government Let our jobs ship out?

Why did the American Government have to bail out Freddie and Fannie if the Government is Freddie and Fannie?

Where's my 401k? Wheres my house? where is my childrens college fund?

Answer: There is NO AMERICAN GOVERNMET

  120. Today Republican John Boehner said he wants wants to raise the retirement age to 70 to pay for the Iraq and Afganistan wars. How many of us are over 50 and already being passed over for younger workers? That fake tanning is baking his brain. The Republican agenda will leave you in the dirt. Literally.

So right about not knowing what's next. I am one of them losing their unemployment on Friday. We were planning a vacation, until this happened.
    June 29, 2010 8:20 AM

Post like this lead many working Americans to think that this has just been one big vacation for many of you. Now you want to use unemployment benefits for a vacation from a vacation? Just unbelievable.....

    ReplyDelete
  122. Raise the retirement age to 50 to pay for the wars in Iraq and Afganistan. I hope John Boehner comes down with cancer and never sees the age of 70. Does he have his dick in his ass or in his mouth. Louisiana voting Republicans you got what you asked for you non union fucken bitchs and bastards. You want oil you got oil and i hope you get a lot more oil. I hope the unemployment rate goes up to 30% in Louisiana and then see what your sorry ass Republican Governor has to say. You say let them Yankees freeze and i say let the people in Louisiana take oil baths. Suffer you Republican voting bithes and bastardes of Louisiana.

  123. If John Mcain was President we would have never gotten any extensions. You see under Geore Dush and Prick Cheney it took people 8 years to see how what a bunch of thugs and crooks the Republicans are and how they steal from the poor to give to the rich. I could never understand a word John Mcain or Sarah Palin were ever saying. They both need to go to speech therapy classes. They also look like a couple of skid row drunks. I do not think Mcain will be reelected. You do not have to worry about Sarah Palin getting elected as she sounds like a 12 year old girl when she speaks. Obama will be elected to a second term.

  124. Trust me.Its gonna happen! one step at a time..Im a 26er.I also dont think its faird people have 99weeks and i cant even get to my next tier.B/S and im sorry to say this but if you have had 99 weeks to find a job or training and dont have a job...Then you are FUC$ed.They aint gonna help you.

  125. to poster above about speech help?!

Obama says uhhhh every other word.He needs help.Talking like he was taught Ebonics

  126. The only way to pass the extensions will be to use stimulus money. Where i live they are repaving highways in a 300 mile radius with stimulus money and a lot of those roads leed to nowhere. Get off your high asses and use the stimulus to extend tier 4 and add tier 5. And any unemployed people do not go on vacation. And you politicians shut the hell up about your little kids and your dam grandkids you sorry ass pieces of shit.

    ReplyDelete
  127. This is to the 26er. You say 99ers are fucked, well guess what, you may be double fucked, one in your mouth and one in your ass. How does that feel you bitch or bastard.

  131. Pelosi says no tier 5 untill after November. VOTE NANCY PELOSI OUT OF OFFICE. USE THE STIMULUS MONEY TO EXTEND TIER 4 AND ADD TIER 5. You people might as well vote HARRY REID OUT AS WELL. VOTE ALL OF THOSE SORRY ASS BITHCES AND BASTARDS OUT AS I HAVE HEARD NOT ONE TALK ABOUT TIER 5. VOTE EVERYONE IN WASHINGTON D.C. OUT OF OFFICE. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LOW DOWN SORRY ASS PIECES OF SHIT.

  132. Adding another tier beyond 99 weeks is unthinkable. 99 weeks is already so over the top. What are you looking for? A lifetime of unemployment checks. After such a long time from being employed, this turns into nothing more than welfare. I for one am tired of paying people for not working.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Forget about Tier 5. 99 weeks is already so much over the top. Unemployment is for being people out of work for a duration of time. It was never designed to last half a lifetime. After 99 weeks, unemployment is so far removed from the last time you worked, it becomes nothing more than welfare.
Many of us working Americans are tired of paying for people not to work.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Extend tier 4 and add tier 5 now. Use the stimulus money. Let the people who have been out of work for more than a year have the jobs of people who have never been laid off and see how fast they can get a job. I bet they will all go apply at Burger King.

    ReplyDelete
  135. If you people that are working are tired of paying for people on unemployment maybe you should just quit your jobs and move to Mexico. I hope all you working people complaining about people collecting unemployment lose your jobs and then come down with cancer or some other devastating disease. Better yet get in a car accident and become crippled for life or get both your legs cut off. What comes around goes around.

    ReplyDelete
  136. If the people that are lucky enough to have a job do not want to pay taxes for unemployment then they should just quit their jobs and move to Mexico. Im sure the 15 million unemployed would be delighted to take their jobs and pay for unemployment taxes. Extend tier 4 and add tier 5 now. Also cut the Senate and House in half and let them collect unemployment. Extend tier 4 and add tier 5 now.

    ReplyDelete
  137. What about these companies that are laying off full times workers and bringing in temporary workers and green card Mexicans to replace them. Only in America. It is nothing but discrimination. Vote all these Washington D.C. politicians out off office. Get some new blood in there.

  138. Being out of work and looking for a job, stressed about how to make ends meet, and getting turned away at every pass is NOT a vacation! It makes you look at yourself and say what is wrong with me, makes you downgrade all of your skills just so you aren't told you are over qualified. You apply, you study for interviews, you use the local career center, you dress very professionally and become Mr. or Mrs. perfect. YOU HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXTENSION, never gone into "tiers". Never been in this situation - EVER - feel a little hopeless at times, have children to feed, wonder will you get your break? Pray every night, and continue to pray no matter what. For the ones of un-employed that have never had an extension, and are just coming up to their 6 months - and have just been kicked off - with NO HELP to be seen, unless they figure this thing out? Wow - not fair at all. I have never been given extra time. In my county you have to PROVE that you are looking, and trying everyday just to get un-employment. So for any of you who want to judge, you have no right, not all of us are on vacation. This is no joke, you tell me how you would support a family on what we get for un-employment, and then that goes away as well when you have been busting your butt to find a job - to NOTHING, ZERO, NATA, BROKE! How would you handle that? Hope it never happens to you. God bless us all!

  139. Senator Ben Nelson A Democrat is now the person holding back the unemployment extension... damn Steve from houston, TX you were correct again... you said that if the republicans commit to a stand alone bill there was going to be 1 or 2 Democrats that would refused to vote yes and here we are Senator Ben Nelson A Democrat refuses to say Yay .... so it really isn't the Republicans holding this back... its the democrats trying to keep Americans poor and on welfare for the rest of their lives... The Democrats are like a secret society of rich aristocrats, their goal is to keep everyone poor, hungry and weak so that they can control the whole world... typical old queen and king styles... FU Democrats... remember history repeats itself... there will always be a revolt following too long a period of poverty... and for all you people that voted Democrat, FU too, and trust me I am pointing that at my dumb ass as well..

  140. Do not worry they will get back at Ben Nelson and it will be like getting hit with ten stun guns. In other words he will choke on his own shit, aka fisces. Enjoy it Ben.

  141. Yes Fuck the Democrats!!!

You are the biggest Fucken Idiot if you voted Democrat... they want to keep us all poor and weak

You try to make it look as if your helping us and in fact all your doing is giving us the drug (money), which is just enough (money) to keep us high and coming back but never enough to break the cycle... you wont keep me poor forever.. I'm getting out there and creating something for me and my family

    ReplyDelete
  142. Extend tier 4 and add tier 5.

    ReplyDelete
  143. They are trying to put the drug dealers out of business. People on unemployment spend all the money on drugs and alcohol. Now they can say drug use is cut in half. So now they do not have to require drug testing. Way to go Senators as i did not kwow you were do intelligent. Clap for the wolfman. Watch out because he may bite you in the ass.
