PROP 19 News & Updates: Prop 19 is California's ballot measure which seeks to legalize the sale and consumption of marijuana. Prop 19 is losing support, which is really quite shocking. Despite Prop 19 getting shut down today, if that does occur, it's opened up a dialogue that many hope will lead to the legalization of marijuana. Many of the same arguments against the legalization of marijuana were present back during the days of prohibition when alcohol was outlawed. The legalization of marijuana will take something from the black market, make it legitimate, open up possibilities for economies and also a tax base for various state and local governments.
Of course, marijuana will remain illegal in the federal government's eyes. How this impacts the state's decision to legalize marijuana has yet to be seen.

This is a really bothersome sentence - the phrasing is terrible. If someone just glances headlines, they could easily think Prop 19 was shut down or pulled from the ballots. A hint into the authors views, perhaps?

you know with marijuana legal and the tax reulations put on it california may not go into debt afterall im all for legalasation of marijauna the only thing im worried about is the dang federal gov getting involved
