US Women's Open 2010 Leaderboard and Updates

US Women's Open 2010 is in full "swing" and the leaderboard has some pretty impressive performances. The USGA Women's Open 2010 golf tournament is taking place at the Oakmont Country Club, and started yesterday and extends until July 11. That is the same day of the World Cup 2010 championship game - so the tournament has some strong competition for ratings.

The leaderboard is led by Brittany Lang at 2 under par. There's a four-way tie for second place with one under par, and a two way tie for sixth place even with par. Being that this is the first day of the tournament, anything can happen. It would be very easy for one of the four way ties to overtake the #1 slot on the leaderboard - all that's needed is a two stroke advantage.

This is one of Pennsylvania's best sporting events of the year, and many look forward to it. The leading score is 69 - two under par of 71.

After today's play, the field will be cut to the lowest 60 scores, or anyone within ten strokes of the leader - whichever is greater. Eighteen holes will be played today as well as tomorrow and Saturday.

It looks good for the current tops of the leaderboards, but the ladies will have to fight to keep it up because they can lose it as quickly as it was gained. With three days still left in the USGA Women's Open golf tournament 2010 anything can happen and anyone within a reasonable reach of the leader can become successful.
