She could win this thing, and here's why - the power of the American voter.
To be honest, before this season I didn't watch Dancing with the Stars. This weekend, I'm hooked...and I vote for Bristol. All of my votes. I exhaust them - why? Because she's real and because she's trying.
However, I can see why people are upset. After all, she has been on the bottom of the leaderboard week after week. Still yet, it's the power of the American voter that's kept her in.
Brandy was voted off, despite her perfect scoring second dance and despite leading the leaderboard week after week.
What are your thoughts about Dancing with the Stars Bristol Palin.
Disappointing on so many counts. First of all she is NOT a star, second she can't really dance, third I don't care what she says this is the power behind her mother keeping her in play. UGH!
ReplyDeleteI am beyond angry. Brandy is amazing and deserves to be in the finals. GIve me a break. Bristol is only still in this because of who her mom is and that is wrong. I have watched the show since the beginning and will never watch it again.
ReplyDeleteBrandy deserved to be in the finales but this is what happens when you don't get the votes. It happens on Idol all the time.
ReplyDeleteI think it is RIDICULOUS for Bristol to keep winning, she should have been gone a long time ago. She has no dance talent at all, and it is a slap in the face of the ones that do have talent. This just may be my last season to watch DWTS. I think her mommy is using her power and using one of those automatic callers that the politician use. Leave it to a republican! Cheaters...
ReplyDeleteIt stinks that talent wasn't the winner here tonight on Dancing With the Stars. Brandy and Jennifer Gray have talent, grace, and charm, certainly Bristol worked hard, but she has none of the others talent, grace, nor charm. Will Bristol Palin win the mirror ball......YOU BETCHA! I am now no longer a viewer.....
ReplyDeleteIt's clear that most people are not voting on achievement or talent. They seem to vote in a political manner. This is supposed to be about talent, not the TEA Party. Maybe DWTS should leave the judging to the judges.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S IT FOR ME!!! ALL THIS SEASON PEOPLE WERE VOTED OFF THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AT THAT TIME. I WISH I HAD A WHOLE STATE BEHIND ME AND I WILL DO DANCING
ReplyDeleteSO FREAKIN MAD!!!! Bristol doesnt deserve to be in the finals. She can't say she is the only person to come on this season with no dance experience. There were plenty of people who were non dancers this season who danced better than she ever could and yet they were voted off and she is still on. If she wins, which i think she will, I wont be watching this show anymore because this show has proved to be about popularity not talent..UGH
ReplyDeleteI am a Republican and I think that Bristol Palin should have been eliminated this evening. This show should not be about popularity or politics - it should be about the best dancer. Jennifer and Brandy should be competing for the trophy next week.
ReplyDeleteIt is totally absurd that a political alliance can be so strong as to influence a popular TV show.I have been a fan since the inception of the show, however after this evenings obvious political agenda on the voting I will not watch the finals.Disney the parent company of ABC should be ashamed of letting their political alliance take away from what has been up til now a wonderful reality show
ReplyDeleteI will probably not watch the finals - Bristol Palin does not belong in the finals. Her tea party mom was the one who got her in it. Bristol is no "Star" and the show really blew it this year. Just like American Idol, they are out of touch with reality.
ReplyDeleteBravo for Bristol! She's the only one who really just learned to dance and perform for this show. Plus they gave her a wonderful, but shorter partner. Jennifer and Brandy have been coached to perform for years and their drama has been annoying to watch.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that leaving it to the judges won't work. They sold themselves out last night.
ReplyDeleteBe afraid, America! Sarah Palin's reach is far greater than you think! And, she is so, so willing to put her children OUT THERE for ridicule, for her own monetary gain. I give Bristol credit for going through the motions, but it is clear that she didn't give it her all. Every other contestant in the many years of Dancing lost weight and gained skills during the process. Bristol has done neither. If Bristol Palin wins Dancing with the Stars, Sarah Palin will be the next President of the United States. That should be enough for you to get out and vote.
ReplyDeleteSomething to think about - isn't this exactly what happened during the last Presidential election? Bristol has done an excellent job of improving & without the benefit of a musical or dance background. Shame on anyone who thinks her mom somehow arranged all this.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, She is a teen activist and puts herself out there for everyone to see that she is a normal girl whose not putting on a front or a show for everyone to see. Just because she's not your typical hollywood star doesn't mean she doesn't have the right to be on the show. As everyone has stated, it's the people that have kept her on because she is relate able and fresh. If all of you are so pissy about the outcome I ask you this, did you bother voting to try and make a difference? Most likely not, so next time treat the show like you would a presidential candidate race, and make your vote actually count.
ReplyDeleteI am so angry! I cannot believe that Brandy was voted off tonight! Bristol should not have been on DWTS period. She is not a star! She is where she is because of who her mom is. It isn't fair that this is about politics instead of about who has talent. If Bristol wins that trophy, I will never watch DWTS again!
ReplyDeleteIf DWTS left the judging to the judges, I guarantee you that DWTS would no longer be the #1 show in America. One of the reasons DWTS is #1 show is because America is involved in the voting. If that is taken away from America, bye, bye DWTS. While I admit Brandy didn't deserve to go, I was not sad that she left. There is something about that girl I don't like. To me, she sometimes came across a bit too cocky for my liking and I didn't like the way she glossed over the fact that a young mother died in that car wreck, and she just kept repeating that the wreck wasn't her fault.I do feel that Jennifer and Derek will win in the end. I said that Jennifer would win when the season 11 dancers were announced. Out of them all, she is the one with the most dancing experience and it does not surprise me that she is on top. If Palin haters want to say DWTS is fixed, just look at Jennifer Grey. For other dancers with no to little experience, it wasn't very fair to have them compete with Jennifer. For instance it's not very fair to have Bristol Palin who has no dancing experience to compete with Jennifer and Brandy. So for those that say it's not fair that Bristol is still there, it's also not fair to have people with dancing experience compete with people with no dancing experience. So yes, it's probably not fair that Brandy went home, but DWTS is unfair in other ways too.
ReplyDeleteBristol is boring, can't dance, and looks over 30! What a shame - If she wins, I will never look at DWTS again! It was such a great program until Politics got into the game - Those Damn Republicans!!
ReplyDeleteFirst, let’s understand this show is supposed to be about talent and Bristol P. has none of it!!!! She should have been let go from the beginning. They said to vote and I made every attempt to do so and had to keep calling. Power and money, can make anything happen. I will no longer watch this show.
ReplyDeleteI have watched Dancing with the Stars for about 5 years and it has encouraged me to begin ballroom dancing at the age of 60+. I can't believe that Bristol Palin was voted to continue on before Brandy and Maks. Bristol showed litlle talent other than to spawn an illegimate child and have a mother who is a bizarre right wing scary person. Brandy showed elegance and poise as she did each and every dance. What a class act. Based on the outcomes of this week's voting, I will no longer be watching Dancing with the Stars...it's time to give the judges' votes more weight than those of the rogue US public. What a sad comment on the state of affairs.....,my dog had more talent than Bristol..
ReplyDeleteI truly don't care if Bristol is getting votes because of her mother. I also don't care if Bristol wins it all. Should she based on talent? No. Should Americans think that Bristol being on a silly and fun dance show is part of some conspiracy to elevate the opinion Democrats have of Sarah Palin? NO. Sure it's a shame that Brandy - who has "final 2" level talent - didn't make it into the finals, but unless the angry people were dialing up votes for Brandy all night, then I'm going to assume that it's more about Brandy being sent home than it being about some make believe conspiracy that's in place to make the Palin's seem cool.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Bristol will feel bad for taking it away from Brandy by not being eliminated tonight. Maybe the judges should eliminate the dancers instead of the public. As you can see the "tea party" really doesn't know talent when they see it. I won't watch DWTS again.
ReplyDeleteThe judges are pissed off because American voters aren't following them like blind sheep and voting the way they judge. And to be honest, I think all 3 of these judges have their favorites and are not all that 100% honest when they score these dancers. Brandy is gone. Judging on her dancing talent, should she has left. No. But compared to likability, charisma, Brandy is lacking in that big time. Bristol is not a dancer, but America apparently likes Bristol's personality a whole lot better than Brandy's personality where in some episodes she came across as rather cocky and fake. She complained to anyone who would listen how unfair other dancers got voted off prematurely, (reading between the lines, she felt Bristol should be the one saying bye bye) and in the next episode she is hugging Bristol and acting like Bristol is her BFF. My sarcastic thinking was that she was trying to win over some of Bristol's fan base, since it was so much larger than hers. Anyway, it is what it is. And I also think the judges acted very unprofessionally tonight the way they treated Bristol, didn't even congratulate her. Look for judges revenge next week on Bristol, no matter how she dances. The judges are going to do their best to get her booted next week, I can guarantee it.
ReplyDeleteThis could be the end of the show. It all appears rigged. There will be a decline in viewership.
ReplyDeleteIm beyond happy for her!!! Brandy was too uptight and boring. Bristol had to LEARN how to dance and that's just what she had done! I personally want Jennifer to win but I would be more than happy if Bristol did! Its about time us Republicans start taking back over! ;) GO BRISTOL!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have watched DWTS since it started. I thought it was about talent, not a political issue or agenda. All of the stars have grown, but really....REALLY.....Bristol is not in the same league with the other performers. She is not the one with dancing talent. I couldn't believe the stacked results. Why does DWTS have professional judges if their evaluations are not really used. I will not watch next year.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny to see all these liberals rant on about Bristol. They were scared to death when republicans took over the congressional house and now the liberals socialist/marxist agenda is in jeopardy. Bristol Palin made a mistake and she doesn't want other young girls to make the same mistake she did. Bristol Palin is now preaching abstinence while liberals want to give your 13 year old sons and daughters condoms at school. Whose insane there????
ReplyDeleteHow in the world did Bristol NOT get voted off? I'll tell you how, HER MOTHER!Make this a REAL compitition and bring Brandi back and have her and Jennifer Grey dance it out. But I will tell you right now, this will be the last season I watch if something doesnt change. Like only the Judges do the judging. Leave the public out of it!
ReplyDeleteIt's not all about bristol. Mark is an extremely good dancer and I'm proud to say he is my cousin. People aren't voting for just bristol, mark has a numerous amount of followers himself. Another thing, brandy and Jennifer both have some form of dancing in their past, but bristol has never done anything like this so it was that much harder for her to be taught. I will watch DWTS as long as it stays on TV.
ReplyDeleteNot only are Republicans ruining America they are now ruining your DWTS! I told my mom who watches the show that this was gonna happen. Bristol could fall flat on her face and still she will get the votes time after time. The teabaggers and Republicans are used to voting for no talent failures.. They voted for her mother for christ sake....
ReplyDeleteYou guys just dont get it. A DWTS watcher for many years and this is the first year I have voted. I made sure every week I voted for Bristol both testing and online. Not a Tea party member or even a citizen. I reckonise guts and and willing to learn. She has come a long way. Will be watching next year FOR SURE.
ReplyDeleteThe judges should apologize for awarding Palin nines.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, talented Bristol Palin deserves to win DWTS. She rocks!
ReplyDeleteSarah wrote a check! The end!
ReplyDeleteBristol I hope you read this, YOU DESERVE TO BE IN THE FINALS!! Way to go, and shame on all of you who can't just be excited for her!! Yeah Brandy was talented but she's been a performer all her life, Bristol hasn't and she worked just as hard - if not harder than all the rest because she was out of her conforft zone. You people need to stop judging her. How would you feel if everyone cut you down because you were'nt a star - so what Brandys a star, she's just a person who puts her pants on one leg at a time like everyone else, what makes her more special? I'm so excited DWTS is REAL and doesn't fake votes to get ratings!! You can bet I'll be watching the finals along with a hundred of my closest friends!! You go Bristol, you are soooooo beautiful, I can't wait to see you perform next week!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to Go Bristol, you are beautiful and I too am glad DWTS is keeping it real!!!!!
ReplyDeletePrevious to this season, most viewers watched DWTS because they enjoyed the dancing that the stars and the pros produced each week. Apparently, with the presence of a political lightening rod, such as Sarah Palin's daughter, the show has turned into a battle between liberals and conservatives, mainly tea party type. An outstanding, entertaining program has been hijacked by ideologists who do not care for quality, but only for winning. The producers of the show knew that Palin would create controversy, and they got what they wanted. Higher ratings!
ReplyDeleteLast night when Carrie Ann made the comment about Bristol's dancing being boring, my husband and I thought this is going to backfire and Bristol will not be voted off. What will be will be. I thought that Bristol was excellent even though she is not the best of the best. She is trying. Why don't you all keep the politics out of it. Bristol's ex-boyfriend has had plenty of media following him around to bad-mouth the Palin's and I feel it was a good thing to invite her on DWTS. I'm happy it has built her confidence and that she is letting the World know that you can make mistakes and be beat down and still come out and keep trying. Go Bristol. I do however hope that Jennifer and Derrick win. Kevin is a great entertainer as too. Go Kevin - all of you remember he is still in this dance-off too.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I am so angry. I voted and always do.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way Bristol Palin should be in the finals. I don't dislike her. But finals are about talent. U either got it or U don't.
A Political Agenda has kept this no talent wonder alive to bore another day.
What a freaking joke . . . Teen whore is more l ike it!
ReplyDeleteI won't watch another season. You can't keep politics out of anything! A very disappointing night!
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteits not Kevin the black guys name is Kyle
Maybe the Mayan 2012 end of the world calendar is right? 1st Bristol wins Dancing with the starts then Momma Sarah wins the presidency and then its the end of the world as we know it! America will be the laughing stock of the world get attacked and sister Sarah will try to drop nukes and end up blowing us all to hell!!! Damn you John McCain!!! I blame you for all of this!! someone should build a dang fence around your ass again and keep you prisoner like they did in hanoi you flip flopping wannabe war hero POS....
ReplyDeleteI can't beleive how stupid some of you sound writing on this forum that Bristols mom had something to do with the votes. Grow up people, be happy for her. You all sound like a bunch of jealous babies. 's a freakin tv show, so what Brandy got voted off, she'll probably get more famous and sell more records because of it. I thought Brandy was talented but I didn't feel any thing when she danced, her personality or face or something didn't do it for me. I'm actually glad she is gone!!! I think Bristol has come along way and I LOVED watching her perform. She is seriously beautiful, I hope she is proud of herself, she deserves to be!!
ReplyDeleteBefore I head off to bed to dream about really bad dancing being rewarded, I would like to posit this.......LET'S ALL VOTE WITH OUR REMOTE!
ReplyDeleteIf the producers wanted to create a hubbub, let's give them one!
This is a TV show, people. Bristol deserves to be in the final as much as Kyle or Jennifer. America (not Sarah) voted for Bristol. I like Bristol's "real" personality. Frankly, I'm glad to see someone with little dance experience in the finals. She's improved. I get tired of seeing the show stacked in favor of the performers who already have experience. I've enjoyed Bristol's journey. Yes, I also enjoyed watching Brandy dance, but unfortunately, America did not give her enough votes. I think she may have turned some voters off because she wanted to "win" too much, and although I like Max,I think he causes his partners to lose votes because of his mouth. I still think his comments cost Mel B the mirror ball. People don't just vote for the star.
ReplyDeleteThis is rediculus, it is not about the best dancer its always been about how well you are known and liked. Now politics is running the show, and thats wrong, Bristols mother is behind all the voting for her daughter, and its very political. I have watched all the shows since Dancing with the stars began, but next week will be the last show I watch because of lack of fairness in the voting. Too many good dancers have gone by the way, yes Bristol has come a long way, but she should not have made it to the semifinals say nothing about the finals.
ReplyDeleteThe competion is over in my mind, You have one great dancer and two that should not have made it to the finals, fix it or lose your show.
Okay, made a mistake calling Kyle Kevin. Oops. He is a great entertainer anyway.
ReplyDeleteShame on you DWTS judges .I wonder how much bribe you all received. You have to be ashamed of yourselves. Whatever goes around comes around. You will see the kind of punishment you will get from GOD just for the love of money. So so biased.I WISH YOU THE worst in your lives all of you. Don't worry "BRANDI" God will sincerely revenge for you.
ReplyDeleteThe decision to vote Brandy out was disgusting. Perhaps Bristol did come a long way. HOWEVER, in the end this is a competition for who's the best NOT who has the best and most influential connections. Bristol does not in any way compare to Brandy. At first, I did not sympathize with Brandy. However, she changed her ways and always worked extremely hard, she's very talented and very gracefull on the dance floor. Those people who believe that Bristol deserved to stay on need to wake up and smell the coffee. Yes, Bristol came a long way but not far enough to be among the very best. Bristol should not have been on the show in the first place. It's called "Dancing with the Stars" and she is certainly NOT a star , she is simply Sarah Palin's daughter. Maks also deserves a comment here as he was constantly picked on by one of the judges. Maks did a fantastic job and hope that he stays on for the following seasons. His comments were exactly right and I was glad to see that he had the guts to speak up against the unjustified comments that were made by the judge.
ReplyDeleteAgain, a disguting decision. I hope that next time it will trully be just stars that are invited to the show. Politics have no place in show business.
Poor thing Bristol, she can't dance or learn, but she is a nice girl, I was hoping to see her lose weight so that she could feel better about her self. I bet she feel bad she still in, she knows she is not any good- and gave it a good try, the voters are not doing her any favors by voting for her and making people laugh at her and the show, good thing she is making alot of money DWTS.
ReplyDeleteOMG - What a dumb ass comment - teen whore. She was with one guy!!!!!! What a totally stupid thing to say, maybe you are the whore or a total dumb ass. You must be soooooo jealous!
ReplyDeleteI thought Brandi was kind of full of herself. And her not wanting to listen to Max most of the time was part of her demise. She did work hard and did a great job. But it was the way her personality came across-- to cocky.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Bristol is still in the competition, she is a joy to watch, like Kelly Ozbourne. I didn't care much for Brandy even though she danced well, too cocky or tuff chick, it's not surprising at all America didn't vote. I usually left the room when she performed, she didn't hold my attention. Bristol has more charm and that's why America loves her. I hope you go all the way Bristol, I'll be voting for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteDWTS really screwed up tonight. Not only was the audience in shock, the judges were stunned. Even Bristol looked like what the _____. She's a nice person but can't dance worth a flip. This smells just like the tea party.
ReplyDeleteDWTS is suppose to be judge for your dancing. not about who your mother is.it was very obviouse when the judges awarded her the same score they gave Brandy.knowing she did'nt earned it.Bristol did improved but not enough to stay as long as she did.Shame on you DWTS she should never been asked to be on the show knowing it would be turn into an election.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have seen of this show this season it is a Farce Not worth watching it is all about politics which are sickning on any good day in America, in the last decade, There is no way Bristol should still be there in the beginning she was not a star, And to still be there they must have rigged the voting.
ReplyDeleteSad news that Bristol was voted as one of the best dancers and in the finals even though she is the worst dancer. The show is about finding the best dancer, not voting the worst dancer. Sad, sad, sad for those who are voting for her, you might think about doing the right thing and vote for the best dancer instead.
ReplyDeleteI read a few comments and this is not about Bristol being pretty or "real" (as Bristol referred to the others being fake which was rather arrogant). She commented about not being a dancer, well, either were most the dancers (foot ball player, basket ball player). The show is about finding the best dancer and she is not one of the better dancers. Do you get it? It seems like it would be best to vote who is best rather than the worst.
ReplyDeleteI Had never voted until a few week ago when I read a comment by one Judge and really thought Bristol was not being given a fair chance. I decided to vote for her to try an get an unfair judge. I am a republican and think the tea party is the worst thing that has happen to the US,
ReplyDeleteAnoymous
Okay. I'm a democrat and all these comments are ridiculous. This is a TV show! And the world is not going to change if Bristol wins or Jennifer wins. Its all about voting and so chill. Personally I think Brisol has gone from zero to one and that is the hardest of all - much harder than going from 1-2 as Jennifer has done. That is not to say one deserves it and another does not. This show is about how America votes. So relax. Vote or don't vote. But its not going to be the end of the world!
ReplyDeleteI am so mad I'm fuming. Bristol is not a talented dancer and should have been voted off weeks ago.. there is only one explanation and that is every republican out there is voting for Sarah Palin's daughter regardless of her ability. My feeling is that this season the show has been rigged from the get go by non other than her mother. Interesting that Sarah Palin also has a show out this past week ... coincidence .. highly unlikely.
ReplyDeleteWELL THIS SHOWS PEOPLE dont want a Republic they want Tyranny of Cows. Whether Demon, or Replublirat convict, calling themselves conservatives. this also shows HOW UNQUALIFIED WHITES ALWAYS GET IN OFFICE, AND KEEP BORDERS OPEN
ReplyDeleteI would be curious to know how the voting is done. Could Palins be using some machine that calls is millions of calls, like the politicians use? That is the only way Palin's daughter could have gotten so many votes, it's clear she has no talent. She dances like a big football player, and talk about personality, she has NONE. So tell me HOW did she get these votes? Talent- NA, Personality NA, this will be the last I watch of dwts.
ReplyDeleteThis attitude "she is real and ready to learn"
ReplyDeleteis alarming as if "skill" has lost meaning.
OK, want to go to a doctor or a dentist who is "real and ready to learn" or do you want someone that is properly educated?
Bristol should have been voted off long ago - voting should be by ability not politics or dim witt attitundes
This was a sad day , because we all know Bristol is not a dancer, she has made some improvement ,but not enough to Hang with The Big Girls Jennifer and Brandi. I wish the best for Brandi hope she knows people are deeply concern and support her, ABC no more support for dancing with the star, something has to change with the voting system
ReplyDeleteI'm all for rooting for the underdog but that person has to have a certain quality to them. Kyle has charm and is a fun entertainer while Bristols personality just seems boring. So between that and her lack of dancing talent I think its a shame that she's lasted this long.
ReplyDeleteA teen activist? An unwed teen preaching abstinence is like an obese person telling us we should not eat so much!
ReplyDeleteShame on the those Judges! How dare they act like they did when Bristol was not the one voted off. RUDE..RUDE..RUDE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGO TEA PARTY AND MOST OF ALL...GO BRITSOL!!!!!
Go home Bristol, you mother is causing a big problem with this voting conspiracy and you should be ashamed of allowing this to happen. You know darn well that you are not the best dancer, so fess up and get out!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not like this hasn't happened before-
ReplyDeleteGoogle
Florence Foster Jenkins
My only question is: will we still thrill to Ms Palin's dancing after this season? I bet we will. On stage too.
Take that wooden foot girl Bristol Palin off the show. Dancing with Stars is a show for talented dancers not dancers in training. One good thing in Bristol's favour is that although she is, in my opinion, at the same level as Kate plus 8 as a dancer, she has progressed a bit more - at least she is dancing not walking.
ReplyDeleteI have watch DWTS for years and enjoy it. This year I have been disappointed with the talent that has left the show before Bristol. The night she dress in the monkey suit with a pink tutu, took the cake.
ReplyDeleteShe was better than I expected however not good enough to make it this far.
If she win this is my season. I am finish watching DWTS.
Tea Party! What is in your tea? Stupid is as Stupid does.
ReplyDeleteAs a Republican, admirer of Sarah Palin and voter for Brisol in the early shows of Dancing With the Stars, my thoughts are, "Folks, we've shown them the power of our vote. Let's now let the real talent win." Come on, we don't need to show them anymore how persuasive we can be. We want to save our votes for 2012 and real politics. I have been a long time viewer of "Dancing..." and love the show. I've always had a problem with the rules for viewer voting. It's not really a fair indication of talent. If Bristol wins, it's no different than Obama winning the Presidency...she is not the best dancer and he has no leadership skills to lead a country. It's only a show, but may have dire consequences in the future. Tea Party and Repubs., please give your vote to the best dancer!!!
ReplyDelete
