Clarence Thomas perjury claims? After the events of last week, it seems like Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's past might be coming back to bite him where it hurts. For some reason or another, Virginia Lamp Thomas took it upon herself to come forward and call Anita Hill asking for an apology.


Anita Hill claimed that Clarence Thomas sexually harassed her, inquiring about her cup size and also making references to adult films. She was not brought to the stand to testify because of questions of her credibility, but the claims nearly derailed Thomas' bid to become Supreme Court justice under Bush 1.


Now that Virginia Lamp Thomas's voice mail has been in the press, Lilian McEwan, one of Thomas' ex girlfriends has come forward claiming that he was "obsessed" with adult films and also talked about the chest size of the women in his office.


Honestly, I don't think anything will come of the claims. It would be hard to prove or disprove that Clarence Thomas lied. If Anita Hill's claims weren't enough to totally derail his bid, then chances are many years later without hard evidence it will be hard to get him off the bench.

Clarence Thomas Wife Calls Anita Hill For Apology

Clarence Thomas Wife calls Anita Hill, demanding an Apology for the 1991 accusation of sexual harrassment which nearly derailed her husband's Supreme Court confirmation. Why she did this almost twenty years after the accusations were made is beyond comprehension by many.

According to ABC the voicemail left to Anita Hill from Clarence Thomas' wife said:

"Good morning, Anita Hill, it's Ginni Thomas. I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband. So give it some thought and certainly pray about this and come to understand why you did what you did. Okay have a good day."

Anita Hill is standing by her accusations. Clarence Thomas has been bitter about the accusations, and compared them in his 2007 memoir to the black man in "To Kill A Mockingbird" who was wrongly accused of rape.

Clarence Thomas Wife seeks apology from Anita Hill.  Clarence Thomas’s wife, Virginia Lamp Thomas, phoned Anita Hill seeking an apology.  Why, you might ask.  Well, Anita Hill accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment back at his 1991 Senate confirmation hearings. This is something that has haunted the Supreme Court Justice for many, many years. He even referred to it in his 2007 memoir.

According to USA Today, Virginia Lamp’s phone message said “Good morning, Anita Hill, it's Ginni Thomas. I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. Anita Hill stands by her testimony.  Clarence Thomas has maintained his innocence and in his book “My Grandfather’s Son” compared himself to the black man wrongly accused of rape in “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
