DID Prop 19 PASS In California? [NO] It's a sad day for Stoners, as Prop 19 failed in California. The proposition on the ballot would have legalized marijuana for personal consumption and sale in small amounts. However, there were some key issues that were not ironed out in the legislation as proposed.
So Prop 19 did not pass in California, and chances are it will one day - but the question is a resonating "WHEN?"
You see, the Federal government still sees marijuana as illegal. Eric Holder said that the Federal government would "vigorously enforce" the federal drug laws in California, and would not turn a blind eye just because the state "legalized" a drug.
However, I think if the Feds can see just how much funding you can get from legalizing pot, I think they will be all for it. After all, alcohol and tobacco are bad for you - but the government gets lots of money off them every year.
So what do you think about "did Prop 19 pass in California."
