[CONGRESS] John Boehner 2010 Emotional Victory Speech

[CONGRESS] John Boehner 2010 Emotional Victory Speech. Perhaps the most touching thing to transpire during the 2010 elections, was John Boehner's emotional victory speech. I'm not from Ohio, but if I were from the district where Boehner ran for Congress, I would have been proud.

Boehner is expected to become the next Speaker of the House, after a strong anti-incumbent sentiment was successful in switching the House from Democrat to Republican. However, the Senate is still expected to remain blue.

However, during his emotional victory speech, Boehner talks about putting himself through college and pouring his heart and soul in to a small business. You could tell the very strong emotions that he was feeling, and you can tell that he actually does care about America.

Americans Want to Work Act and Middle Class Tax Cuts

The Americans Want to Work act and Middle Class tax cuts are two hot topics as we enter the political season. There are numerous primaries tonight, and many voters will have these two items on their minds.  The Bush Era Tax Cuts are set to expire at the end of this year, and Congress needs to act if they plan on extending them.

The GOP wants an extension of Tax Cuts, but the democratic party doesn't want to keep taxes low for the ultra wealthy.  Although he supports full reinstatement of all tax cuts, House Minority leader John Boehner has expressed that if the only way to keep taxes low for some Americans is to extend the cuts to the wealthy, he will do that - but the best case scenario is to extend all cuts.

On the other hand, the Americans Want to Work Act is sitting in Congress's queue, and it almost looks as if it should be named the "Congress Doesn't Want to Work Act" based on the non-action taken on the move for another unemployment extension.

The fact remains is this: we need tax cuts, and we need the Americans Want to Work Act to be passed. It's that simple. Keeping taxes lower for everyone and extending unemployment will do a lot to make the economy a lot better

John Boehner: Obama Should Fire Economic Advisors

House minority leader John Boehner had some advice for Obama: fire his economic advisors.  Of course, there’s little Boehner will be able to do to convince the president that he is right, but it’s still pretty gutsy that he’s come forward and made that remark. He said:

“President Obama should ask for — and accept — the resignations of the remaining members of his economic team, starting with Secretary Geithner and Larry Summers”

It’s no secret that the economy has far from rebounded like Obama promised, and that is the underlying reason that Boehner has made his remarks.

At least Boehner isn’t all-out blaming Obama for everything. While the president has made some lofty promises, he can’t foresee everything and relies on the expertise of his advisors.

Boehner also stated that the voices of small business owners are not being heard, and pointed out that none of Obama’s advisors have ever owned small businesses

Do you agree or disagree with Boehner?
