Joran Van Der Sloot Case Update: New Evidence Surfaces

Joran Van Der Sloot is in the Miguel Castro prison in Peru after confessing to killing Stephany Flores Ramirez. Van der Sloot and his attorney have now made claims that the confession was co-erced and therefore not valid.

New evidence is surfacing in the case, as skin has been found under the victims' fingernails.  DNA tests can be performed, and if it is indeed the skin of Joran Van Der Sloot his confession could no longer be needed.

This is the same thing that happened in the Natalee Holloway case.  Joran Van Der Sloot confessed to killing the missing teenager from Alabama, rescinded it, and proceeded to tell a variety of unverifiable stories over the next 5 years, sending authorities on a wild goose chase.  Natalee has never been found and authorities in Aruba have never been able to do anything about Van der Sloot even though everyone thinks he's responsible for the crime.

Many are left wondering if justice will be served.  Many that think that he is responsible for Ramirez's murder wonder if he will get away with a crime not only once but potentially twice in his life.  It seems as if his luck would run out at one point or another.

Joran Van der Sloot was the last one to see Flores alive.  Her dead body was found brutally murdered in a hotel room rented out to Van Der Sloot, and he was seen entering the room with her and then leaving without her.

He was also the last to see Natalee Holloway alive, although her body has yet to be found.  Both young women went missing on the same day 5 years apart.  Many are hoping that if he is responsible for both deaths, that he will be brought to justice.
