The Wimbledon 2010 Grand Slam tennis tournament schedule of play continues today. There are many great matches planned as the tournament advances. Wimbledon is one of four annual grand slams. The French Open happened previously and now we have the US and Australian open tournaments remaining.
Today's schedule of play on Day 6 of the tournament includes some big names in Tennis. At 13:00 local time, Venus Williams takes on Dominika Cibulkova and Philipp Petzschner takes on Rafael Nadal. At 12:00 local time, the Williams sisters take on Cibulkova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Venus and Serena Williams won the women's double title during the French Open. That was their fourth consecutive grand slam win, meaning that they won all the Grand Slams back to back. Could they repeat this again for another cycle? That is what they are going to try to do.
During Wimbledon all eyes will be on Nadal and Federer. During the French Open, Federer was knocked out of the running, and Nadal successfully defended himself securing a win. Many thought that the final round of the men's single would include a match between Nadal and Federer. Perhaps that will happen at Wimbledon.
Eyes will also be on the Williams sisters, who often make headlines for things other than news. During the French Open, Venus wore a controversial outfit.
