Jessi Slaughter (Kerligirl13): Breakdown on YouTube, Threats, and More

Jessi Slaughter is a new YouTube sensation, but not in a Justin Bieber sort of way. Kerli Girl 13 posted some sort of breakdown on the popular video streaming site, which lead to a lot of victimization. She's received unwanted pizza deliveries, threatening calls, hateful comments on her social networking sites, and more. In fact, she's been whisked away by police who want to keep her safe.

So what is it behind this story that gets us all worked up? After all, kids do crazy things online these days. There's nary a day that goes by that I don't see at least one strange YouTube video, made by some kid who wanted nothing more than to see himself online.

Jessi Slaughter's rants talked about how the 11 year old was better/prettier/smarter than all the other Internet users out there. She posted nude photos of herself on her social networking sites, and she told other internet users to go shoot themselves in the head. It's a crazy borderline sociopathic situation that has spiraled out of control.

Her parents backlashed, indicating that users who were mean to Kerli Girl 13 would be "backtracked" by police.

Jessi Slaughter's YouTube account has been closed, and her parents have taken measures to ensure she remains safe. This is a classic story that should remind parents to stay vigilant and see what their children are doing online.

  3. Jessi was on restriction for 3 days. Her dad took her webcam away but now she has unrestricted use again. She is posting regularly on her twitter account and her new XAT Chatroom:

  4. She will most definitely regret this when she is older. CPS should definitely get involved, with a mouth like that... good parenting is NOT happening.

  8. 'her parents have taken measures to ensure she remains safe'
No, they haven't. Her mother refuses to watch any of the videos and, as she's denying everything, it's all fine with them. A judge ruled that she had to go without internet for 3 days, but in the parents eyes it's everyone else's fault but their darling little child porn spreading angel.

  9. Omg this is an 11 yr old girl who is in need of help and maybe she didn't know what she was getting herself into...and it doesn't all have to be the parents most kids learn how to be shits from other little shits at school...

  10. This is probably the clearest example I can think of for bad parenting. This is a Dr. Phil episode waiting to happen.
