Joran Van der Sloot 2010 Update - $1 Million for Story?

Joran Van Der Sloot is in a prison in Peru after admitting to killing Stephany Flores Ramirez.  He's tried  to retract his confession much like he retracted his confession in the Natalee Holloway case.  The Peruvian legal system isn't co-operating with his antics and it appears as if he will spend a considerable amount of time behind bars.

Joran Van der Sloot was last seen with Stephany on May 30th.  This is exactly five years to the day that Natalee Holloway went missing.  It's presumed that she is dead.

Stephany Flores was found murdered in a room registered to Van der Sloot.  The two met in a casino, and VDS claims that she invaded his personal space and it angered him and he killed her out of rage.

Some think that Joran is a serial killer, but many more would like to get more insight as to what type of person he is.

Van der Sloot has offered his side of the story for $1 million to anyone who pays for it. Many are curious as to whether or not a journalist will give in to his demands - Greta Van Susteren perhaps?

If someone gives into his demand for $1 million in return for his story, that will make him feel powerful. It will feed into his ego.  Hopefully he won't get the $1 million, and hopefully he will be compelled to give his account of what happened to the court system in Peru.

Joran faces charges in th eUS.  He will likely have to stay in Peru until a sentence is served if he is convicted of murder in that country.
