Larry King Replacement - Piers Morgan Americas Got Talent

Larry King's replacement could be Piers Morgan of America's Got Talent. Larry King Noted that he wouldn't know Piers Morgan if he were walking down the street, but reality TV show buffs know that Simon Cowell's great buddy is a Brit with an attitude. Piers Morgan may not be the most conventional decision, but he's one that could bode well for the network.

CNN needs to increase ratings. Ryan Seacrest and Katie Couric were two names thrown around in the rumor mills regarding taking over Larry King's time slot on the news network. They could have increased the ratings better than Piers Morgan according to some views, but we think that Morgan is a befitting choice.

The America's Got Talent judge isn't afraid to say what's on his mind and is very candid. He was the winner of a cycle of Celebrity Apprentice and showcased that he does what it takes to get the job done. Controversial interviews won't intimidate him and he won't be afraid to ask the questions that are on everyone's mind.

As of late, there's not an official announcement from CNN regarding Larry King's replacement. However, according to Forbes the rumor indicates the most likely candidate.

It will be hard to truly replace Larry King. He's a big name in the world of broadcasting and he's been in the same time slot for decades. Many venture to say that CNN won't be the same without him. He will, however, still have quarterly specials on the network. One also has to wonder that given his tenure, how long King will stay away from the network.

  1. There is the perfect replacement for Larry King. His name is George Stroumboulopoulos. He is the host of a well known Canadian television show called THE HOUR. This man is personable, professional and can interview anybody with insight, depth, candor, and with ease. A complete "natural" as Larry would say. I've been watching George online for a couple of years, and his interviews are always captivating. His interviews have been with world leaders, politicians, entertainers, Hollywood actors (young and old), religious leaders, all have been wonderful interviews. The best thing I can add, is that he has the utmost respect for the guests and is completely impartial when conducting interviews with political people.

When I heard of Larry King leaving his show, my first thought was George Stroumboulopoulos as his successor.
