Obama Signs Unemployment Extension- President Signs Bill For The Unemployed

Late Yesterday President Obama sinned into law the long and hoped for Extension Bill Hr 4213. This Bill

will give relief to many of the unemployed that currently have or running out of their unemployment. The bill has been sought after by many who have been laid off and just cannot find a job.

With the national unemployment rate at 9.5 % some say higher this bill will make it easier for many without a job to sleep a bit easier at night. We all know that many estimate the true unemployment rate to be well into the double digits, especially considering the multitude of Americans who are underemployed, working part time, or have simply just given up.

The Signing of the Bill Ended a long Battle with the Republicans, who have filibustered the bill. The Republicans wanted to have assurances on how the Government will pay for Hr 4213 and if any cuts would be made to help ease the exploding National Debt. Of course, many criticize this theory as they are responsible for a host of the nation's money problems.

The bill has had it’s up and down but with the signing of the bill yesterday by President Obama now many Americans can sleep at nigh knowing that at least for now they will have a check in the mail.

  1. We should pay attention to the national debt not hand out free money to people who obviously want to stay home.

  2. Yes, you really hit it on the head. Everyone wants to stay at home trying to raise their families on a third of what they were making before being laid off. It's definitely Easy Street all the way....

  3. Wow... you must be one of those that have a job and no worries. Dolt.

  4. That's just ignorant to say that. I've been out of work for over 6 months and have been on multiple interviews and haven't got a job offer yet. I don't want to sit home anymore....I want to go to work.

  5. Letter to the President, How can you congratulate each other for the approval of a half completed bill forgetting the 99ers and the Tier 5 unemployment extension? As far as I'm concerned your approval rating is 0%. We definitely want the Republicans out. Your weak lack of leadership during this unemployment situation and the spineless Democrats not requesting help for a Tier 5 and the 99ers is unforgivable. What I have noticed is when a problem has been resolved then and only then do you stand a take credit. Remember those extensions you signed only last until November and you know sufficient jobs will not appear by then. By then there will be more people reaching 99 weeks then ever. How stupid do you think we are? I don't know what Americans you're patting yourselves on the back for helping but we were not just thrown in front of the bus but mowed-ed down and left for dead. You need you to stand up now. Not after someone else resolves the problem and you once again take credit. It's a time for change all right! Change all of you right out of office!

  6. Dumbass. Try feeding a family of 4 on $300 a week. I suppose you could go get a another job tomorrow if you got laid off right?

  7. Hand out money to people who want to stay home???? I have paid into unemployment for well over forty years. and now at the age of 61 I am laid off. I guess I'll just walk down the road and get that job that is out there just waiting for me to show. Yeah right

  8. You are a complete f***** idiot do you think we chose our fate? I always said I would not wish this on anybody , however, you are my exception .

  9. Why will a person want to stay home and look stupid being home doing nothing. At home with the kids and wife all day. If there was jobs people will be working. Oh I forgot tax cuts for the rich is ok to the national debt.

  10. "We should pay attention to the national debt not hand out free money to people who obviously want to stay home."

Spoken like a true blind ignorant republican. Your day will come...

  11. Obviously you still have your job anonymous,I'am glad you still do, don't you think that people on unemployment benefits are'nt concerned about the national debt?. Before you pass your judgement, try getting laid off your job and try to find another one. My estimation is that you'll find yourself in the unemployment line yourself. When you do, you'll think of me.

  13. Only selfish unpatriotic wimps would think you shouldnt help your fellow Americans in need. Have a heart & be glad we are not in their shows. We all pay into this regardless and you can never tell when it might be our turn.

  14. I don't know about anybody else but I have been contributing to the unemployment fund since 15, so what free money am I getting?

    ReplyDelete
  15. FREE MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO OBVIOUSLY WANT TO STAY HOME!!!! if by some luck, you are one of those who have jobs, i feel sorry for your boss who obviously hired a pea-brained person. I used to make $74K a year as a purchasing manager. and now, on unemployment, i make 74% lower than the POVERTY LEVEL. only stupid people like you would think this is preferable....

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would much rather have 35 billion go to people who actually need it, rather than failing companies. Also most of the people who are on unemployment are actively looking for work and not finding any.

    ReplyDelete
  17. You said "We should pay attention to the national debt not hand out free money to people who obviously want to stay home". Obviously you are employed and a professional idiot. You need to climb down off of your high horse and have empathy for the 2 million+ people that were forced from their jobs by this economy. When there are 6 people unemployed out there for every job opening where do you think they are going to work? Would you rather see them on welfare and not putting any money back into the ecomomy? Out of touch people like you are a disgrace and part of what's wrong with this country. I had a 10 year career position that came to a sudden halt thanks to your heros in Washington and now I am litterally shoveling horse manure to make ends meet, barely. I am lucky to have any job and would like for you to trade places with me just for a week.

  18. anyone that says the government is handing out free money to the unemployed is an idiot.

  19. I'm glad that it went through. My husband has been out of work for 8 months and has worked his butt off trying to find one. This is a breath of fresh air for those of us who have really been looking for one and can't find it!!!

  20. To the ones concern about the national debt:
Where were you in the eight years of Bush's administration? Certainly busy stealing middle class livelihood savings.

  21. People are crazy to say drawing unemployment is easy street. Even with unemployment it's not enough to live on. Whoever posted that needs some compassion and love. People are suffering and that's all you gave to say. If it happens to you, then we will ask for your opinion.

  22. It is people like you that judge others without even knowing them that makes the world the way it is. These people are hard working americans that deserve to be heard and helped. I suppose you are one of those that support sending billions to other countries and add that bill to the deficit? I happen to believe we need to take care of our own first, then by all means help others. Seems those that say things like that these people are lazy and dont want to work are the ones born with a silver spoon in their mouths, you must be one of them.

Yep, I am one of the lazy ones who want to stay at home with my kids. Why not, um let me see, I guess I worked for years putting into the UNEMPLOYMENT fund so I know I deserve my money back. Oh and let me guess, your probably one of those that agree that since the Americans cause all problems in other countries they deserve the money that we send them because we cause the earthquakes, tsunamis, bombings, and everything else that life throws at everyone. Oh and by the way you must be one that sent your company overseas for cheaper wages.

  25. Try this: Quit your job. Then try to get rehired into a different job. Not until then you will feel the real situation. Before one can leave a job then go to a better one, Now you are lucky to have one.

  26. it is bullshit that some states are taking two weeks to get this money out. People have wated long enough already and they are saying 2 more weeks people have lost, cars, homes and sanity trying to maintian in this mess the previous presidents have created. if people are starving today what will they be in two weeks. Another issue i have not seen on any blog and no one has mentioned, Republicans are stupid mainly because they failed to understand that just about for every one person they counted on unemployment that lost their benifits add two or three more people to each one. If you just add one to the 2.5 million that changes to 5 million voters, not to mention all the people who lost benifits had to depend on others. this has affected way more people than they think and it will show in November.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Congratulations for all of you who now have their benefits extended. But now it’s time to stand up and be counted. Remember how you felt when your benefits were cut off? Now imagine how all of us millions of 99ers feel right now because our ELECTED officials did not pass the Tier 5 unemployment extension. Guess what folks. It’s only a few weeks away for you who will also become another 99er! Only a fraction of you will get a job by then. Are you going to wait until you reach that point before you take action? Guess what, it will be to late by then. All unemployed need to demand a Tier 5 extension now. Tell your elected senators and congressman to implement this action now. After all, We elect these politicians to carry out what we wish our Government to do. The job market is not expected to become plentiful at all in 2010 or even 2011. So all Unemployed Americans, 99ers as well need to flood the white house with the demand for any and all extensions it takes to keep American citizens afloat until jobs are plentiful again. Demand the President to issue an Executive Order to pass a Tier 5 or even a Tier 6 and 7 and 8 if that’s what it takes to keep the American People alive and be able to keep their homes and feed their families. How are we going to pay for this the politicians ask? Here are a few suggestions. Have all the companies that our tax dollars paid to bail out give back 1% of what they received. Stop the war. Better yet, since we are already over there, take control of the Oil Fields and let the profits of the Oil Fields pay for the war so our tax dollars can pay to support all the unemployed US citizens! This is what Bush said would happen right from the start of the war! Take back all the money we have given to other countries as well as call in all the loans we have given to other countries. Interest free if that’s what it takes to get our American Money Back! That alone would reduce our Deficit substantially! Cut in half every politician’s money for travel expense, security coverage expense, campaign expense and Income and put it into a fund for the unemployed. Have all the bottle companies that have a surplus of income for bottles and cans not returned plus the interest they are making on that money sitting in an account. This bottle return policy was to help recycle and clean the planet. Not increase revenue for the bottle companies. Increase the taxes for the wealthy in this country that have received so many liberties for so long. I’m sure many other Americans can find and figure out ways how to come up with the money to supplement unemployment. Let’s have an accountant go through the White and Capital Hill books and see if our own Government is managing money just like the IRS would expect us to manage money? This country has been in a deficit since it started and that will never change. But for our elected officials to not do what it takes to keep Americans afloat is just what the President said. “Criminal Politics”. All of us who are unemployed right now, and even the employed as it won’t be long before you are unemployed, should make a note to remind themselves of just how our elected officials have acted right now. All of the unemployed, and employed since you could easily become unemployed as the economy gets worse, should be overwhelming the White House and Capital Hill daily with letters, phone calls and emails.

To anonymous. Oh yea I also went up to my boss at work and begged them to lay me off because I would rather be home collecting 200.00 a week instead of 800.00. Best move I ever made. Oh how it is to judge others when you know nothing about them. You probably work on wall street and got a hand out too. If your not unemployed and worried about these extensions why the h3ll are you on this site?

  32. I am happy that those of you that are in need of this money, are finally once again getting your checks. Allow me to warn you though, according to an article that I read on usmoneytalk.com, this may be the last extension of unemployment benefits. The article states that the government isn't interested in extending the benefits again once this current extension expires because they don’t believe that this is the answer to a failing economy. My only hope is that you all find some type of job by the end of November. I know that is easier said then done especially with all the stipulations such as having good credit which is now a requirement by some employers in order to get hired. If you don’t have some kind of a job by the time this extension expires, then you could be on your own, just like the 99ers. Article also stated that social security is in the same predicament along with raising the current retirement age. You can find this info here

  34. Attn: anonymous, not only are you being judgmental, but completely inconsiderate the way you receive unemployment benefits is from paying your taxes, trust me I don't speak for myself alone when I say those on unemployment would rather work instead of being subjected to the likes of people like you who think we're livin it up on half of what we use to make put yourself in someone else's shoes for a brief moment, then take the time and look up the requirements to receive these benefits it's not easy being unemployed, trying to do what's right for your family then to simply be subjected to nothing TRUST me I am grateful for having had received unemployment benefits some people are losing everything Mr or Mrs coward this no prize, we've worked for this..... entitlement huh I beg to differ

The economy sucks, and we need the help not to live in style, but mainly to try and stretch the unemployment check to feed the family, pay the rent, gas for intereviews, etc. It is very hard. I for one have paid into the unemployment fund for the past 35 years and have never collected it. I deserve it while I am looking for a job, and believe me I am looking!!!! No one wants to be on unemployment, and it should be there for us when we do need it.

  38. I don't know why anyone would entertain a debate with an ignorant idiot. None of you have to explain your situation to anyone. Some of us have worked for over 30 years paying taxes, we are deserving of compensation from OUR government. Let those that sit around on welfare for years draining the system explain THEIR situation. This system has been set up for many years and the government has ALWAYS covered additional weeks of unemployment when the unemployment rate surpasses 7.4(?)% We are not responsible for the crazy spending and the bailouts of the past years. We need tighter control of our government and will accomplish that through our vote!

  39. Stay home? JERK. You think Americans want to stay home so they can lose their homes and not put food on the table for their kids? Listen idiot, for those who have put money into the system and have gotten laid off for the FIRST time in 30 years, keep your opinions to yourself.

I want my job back, but my district just laid off another 84 teachers. I will go back as a teacher's aid or a substitute teacher, because I cannot stay home another day. I pray my district will hire me back at a lower position. I have 2 master degrees and a lot of student loans to pay back. Trust me, I do not want to stay home collecting UE.

  48. We need to rid ourselves of both Rep. AND Dem. in Washington. No matter what your politics, we have all been betrayed by runaway government that is no longer reponsive to the American public. The Tea Party is no answer either as they embrace many ideals not necessarily in the public's interest. Unrest, civil disobediance, public hangings of elected officials, and an end to socialism in this country might get someone's attention. Government is so out of hand that no matter who you vote for, getting screwed is the end result. How many people have lost their homes while BOTH sides argued politics? Revolution ended the tyranny of the British Isles over this country and it's time again for drastic action.

  50. When I hear people talking about what the President didn't do I wonder if they have any idea how the government works.

Do they know that we have three separate but equal branches of government that much work together to get anything done.

And that the party in the minority can filibuster legislation and keep it from even getting voted on.

Yes the buck stops with the president but he is just that "The President" not a "King". His power is limited. As far as taking credit for the passing of unemployment, understand it didn't take effect until he signed it. He could have said "Perhaps the Republicans are right" and vetoed it. Had he vetoed the bill it would have require 2/3 of the house and the senate to pass it and that would have killed the bill.

So perhaps he does desire some credit don't you think? After all he is getting credit for all the bad stuff that's happening.

I think it is thoroughly HILARIOUS that the bytch who said people WANT to stay home, might just be the person who has to wipe your azz and give you sponge baths while you eat through a straw, after a poverty stricken and unemployed for almost a year person BEATS YOUR AZZ!!!! Then you might know and feel the pain that comes along with not knowing what bills you can pay, having to say "no" to your kids when they want something extra at the store only because you are trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents and you are trying to stretch your last dollars just to have milk in the house, or wondering if your car company will give you an extension, or wondering if your landlord will be sympathetic enough to your situation and allow you to pay your rent late, or wondering which bill to pay half on just so you can have gas money to go on interviews that you have lines up and money to pay for parking in Downtown Pgh, or feeling bad if someone asks to borrow $5 but you have to say no because it feels like they are asking for a million, or having apply for food stamps FOR THE FIRST TIME because you cant afford the outrageous costs for food now-a-days, or wondering how to pay for the things you need when your wife delivers your new baby after an all of a sudden lay off at your job.......AS A MATTER OF FACT, DONT WONDER...cause I know thinking IS NOT apart of your core competencies. Republicans put this country in a bind and then you have the nerve to bytch about what your kin have been doing after they get their dycks sucked in the bathroom of the white house right before a senate meeting.

  60. For the clown who said we unemployed are getting free money "a handout" it is likely that when I start back to work just like before I was laid off I will pay more in income taxes per week than you likely gross a week. So I would have to be out of work years before I paid in less than you.

"How do I know how much money you make?" It's simple, anybody who thinks the little money that comes from unemployment "INSURANCE" is enough to live on is not making very much money or living a pretty pathetic life.

I don't know whether to laugh at you or feel sorry for you.

My husband is not a free loader he has worked his whole life and has never asked for any kind of government help until he got laid off last August and is now enrolled in school so he can get a better job in aviation when he graduates 12/11. Until then he has not been able to find a job that will work around his schedule of school. He is not in the same class as the ones just sitting around waiting on a check. But it does help by groceries and pay the light bill until he can get out of school and back into the work force.

He has worked since he was 15 and is now 45, went to College with a 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree and years of Managerial Experience and knowledge. I am working (thank GOD) - but, took a 6% pay cut just before he lost his job around the Holidays. Things are scary tough, if it weren't for lots of prayer and scraping thru until he gets a job, where would we be! The cut off of that unemployment has severely hurt us.

I'm an expert on computers and am wonderful with representative, data entry. I'm even currently trying to slide my way into this sales job and a friend of mine who works there said he would train me if the boss will just let me through, I've been trying to get this job for 2 months now and the boss keeps saying "I'll call you" or "you call me tomorrow and we'll set up an interview" I don't know if this guy just doesn't want to hire me or what, he should just say "no" or "yes"

Regardless some people are trying very hard so all the help that you guys who have jobs can give us is so thanked by ppl like me, so me and my two kids don't have to live on the streets! and when I do get a job I always help other ppl in need.

  71. To the first post about the unemployed. Senator, don't you have something else to do?

  72. How can anybody say it's easy street. I got laid off in 07. to say I don't want a job is crazy. I got evicted out of my house, that I lived in for 16 years; my car got repossed, that I paid on for 4 years. I had to move in with my daughter. I am 60 years old sleeping on an air mattress. I want to work; obviously, my age plays a factor. So all you people with your opinions and ideas about whats going on in somebody elses life; try being unemployed and your whole life go to HELL!!!

  73. I really dispise individuals who say people who want the extension just want a free ride. What about people like me who had a really great job and was laid off for almost a year without a glimpse of hope for another job. I have a child, a house, car note, student loans, and other bills and you honestly think I want to stay at home everyday? Everyday I look for a job because unlike some people I want to leave out the house with everyone else in the morning and head to a job.

It's so easy for some people to say that those who are on unemployment are lazy but never knoww the realty of the situation until it happens to you. Being on a fixed income with help from the government is no laughing matter.

  74. My husband is in the construction business and had legitimately NOT had a job in over 6 months! We have 2 little kids and are barely surving on my income and unemployment. We're getting hit with a double whammy - Construction stinks because the banks are not paying for projects so there is no work, on top of being on unemployment. People out there really affected by this economy.. it's not all about receiving hand outs!

  75. Who spellchecks these reporters? Is whoever wrote this "article" seriously a journalist? I've been unemployed for one year today, and can't find a job. Yet this reporter can post bland, regurgitated news in an article riddled with grammatical mistakes, and have a job?

  77. It is so so sad that we have people (The Anonoymous A-Holes) in life who are true damn idiots to make dumb statements (inwhich they are entitled to show the world their idiodicy).

Myself who is an Information Systems Technologist that have more than 10 years of experience working in IT (in the legal and financial sectors of business) with certifications up the whazoo (who pay our taxes and support the systems as proud law abiding Americans) still haven't obtained permanent work but only was able out of going on (2) two years of being unemployed (6) months of contract work on (2) different occassions.

I can proudly say and speak for the people who are unemployed and are still looking for work weekly, going to school to improve our knowledge in our fields and at the same time taking courses to start our own businesses again that your statements and those who feel as you do are assanine.

People like you hopefully one day will stop being a horses buttocks and true JACKASSES!!! in your thinking and wake up to the real world and stop living in NEVERNEVERLAND!!! WHICH DOESN'T EXIST...ONE DAY HOPEFULLY YOU DONKEY BUTTOCKS WILL GET IT!!!

  78. The first sentence has a pretty funny typo in it: "Late Yesterday President Obama "sinned" into law the long and hoped for Extension Bill Hr 4213."

1 I paid for "Unemployment Insurance" for over 40 yrs. UE is not a handout even though the Gov pissed all the money it collected away.
    2. I have been eligible for 100% disability for 30 years.
    3. Have put out hundreds of applications, I have registered with EVERY employment agency in the area.
    4. I am multi-skilled and have NEVER had a problem getting and holding any job I wanted. Usually I am 'head-hunted" by other firms.
    5. I have been unemployed for more than 9 months.
    6. I can take UE (which I PAID for) or I can go on PERMANENT Disability (Which ... I ... Uhhh ... PAID for!)

I wonder ... should I take the TEMPORARY assistance I paid for or just give up and go on PERMANENT assistance?

    Hand-Out .... Yeah! That's what it is.

  79. This whole "Stop blaming Bush" he's not the president argument is great for Bush and the Republican party but it is neither logical or reasonable.

If I tap into your bank account and steal all your money which causes you to lose your business and your home, and this causes problem in your marriage that lead to a divorce when exactly can I expect you to stop blaming me?

Better yet, at what point will what I did not have contributed to your down fall? "Let me help you" the answer is it will always have contributed. Even if you get a new business, a new house, and even a new wife or husband.

If someone causes you to lose all that you have I'm sure they will be delighted to hear that you will be so willing to release them from any responsibility.

  80. It's laughable to the idiot who thinks we're sitting back on easy street collecting something WE have paid into for years. As most of you have said let's see this donkey lose his or her job (or get laid off for lack of work) and see how it feels. East street??? HA! I went from making 350 a week to getting 165 a week on unemployment ( or not getting it right now) and you think we should shut up because we're living in style. My cable ( ok a luxury but helps the grandkid be happy) has been shut off, my power is due to be shut off, today is the shut off for my phone/internet and I haven't paid my rent yet..let alone have a meal more then Little Ceasears 5 dollar pizza. So donkey until you've stepped into our shoes then stfu, grow up and stand by your Americans rather then piss and moan.

  81. Only ONE fool has made any rude comments. I find it suspect that he was the FIRST and ONLY one to make a remark like that?? everyone else seems to be in the same boat. Me thinks this was an inside job!!!!

  83. I'm now 61 years of age and have been layed off since the 3rd week of March 2009. There were 5 employees layed off the same day...and we were all over 55 years of age. I have excellent skills as a legal secretary, and since being layed off 16 months ago, I've sent out endless resumes for office jobs of any kind (receptionist, etc.), knowing that it's unlikely I would find another job at my previous level. I have not had one call for an interview. This is not where I expected to end up at this age, so don't insult us hard-working people who have spent our lives working, by saying we don't want to work, because it's not true. What crazy person would choose to try and live on $300/week, when it's far below what we formerly made? And you judgmental people should get down on your knees and thank God that you're still employed, because you could be next (and it would serve you right if you were!).

  84. Ignorance is frustrating and I truly hope you critics out there don't lose your job. On the contrary, I'm pretty sure you are going to lose you job. The economy needs to be tenderized to make way for the Amero. Just sit back and enjoy the Armageddon...

  85. I think the government should extend benefits as long as they are needed.I for one am a single father of four and also a victim of the auto industry downfall. I say those that lost their jobs and it was not their fault should be ENTITLED to something more than what the crookitics give us.
I have one question, what does the government think will happen when people on the edge are pushed over?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Why don't we give the 33 billion to Wall Street. I am sure they will be short on money to get their bonuses this year since the economy has not improved one bit. Oh i am sorry i forgot the only people who count in this world are the little rich kids that daddy paid to party for four years and immediately got a fat paying job from daddy's company. Where do you think ignorant, shallow republicans come from. I went to college, worked hard and paid my own way, no partying and now no job. Only those with rich connections are important in our greedy society. What a great accomplishment to the American dream.

  88. Hello to my fellow unemployed people, i too was unemployed up to a week ago ACTIVELY searching for work thank god due to a referral i received a job offer and took it, i think that it is very ignorant to think that people want to stay home making a third or even less of what they were making at their jobs, this is not WIC or FOOD STAMPS no one was giving us a handout, this was money that we were owed due to working for however many years, working people pay into this with their own hard earned money so that if there ever comes a time where you became unemployed your government would help you out with the very funds that you've earn throughout the years. im sick and tired of these trust fund babies or better yet working people making these assumptions that we are lazy and do not want to work, when in fact we would take your job or any job in a heart beat just to have a job, very disappointed with the negative attitudes of the American public who are lucky to be employed bashing those who are currently unemployed, MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE UNEMPLOYED MAY YOU FIND THE STRENGTH TO PROCEED WITH YOUR SEARCH AND HOPEFULLY FIND EMPLOYMENT SOON!

  92. I have been unemployed now since Feb 2009. I have talked to literally hundreds of places. No one wants to hire a 57 year old with seizure history. If you think it is easy street then you have never walked in many of our shoes. I do not want to go on disability as I still have a lot to offer an employer. I have accepted odd jobs and anything I could to make an extra dollar here and there. I have an internet conncetion as it is cheaper than paying for gas to drive a resume to where it needs to go. I have applied in all states around me. There is not work to be had and the minimum wage jobs out there are not available to those like me who are way overqualified to do the job. They tell me they wont hire me because as soon as something comes up that pays better I will quit. They are right. My family comes first as it should. So those who think drawing unemployment is easy street then let me trade you.

  93. I made a comment today here, and I just wanted all to know there's been an update as to my employment situation...the manager from the temp service I'am listed with called me shortly after I posted my comment. I'am to start to work on the 29th! I'll have to drive 25 miles one way to get there but it could be much worse. All I can say is THANK GOD!!!...

  94. To everyone out there running your mouth about us who are unemployed just need to shut your freaking mouth, you have know idea what it is like. Not being able to find a job, worrying everyday if the repo man or mortgage company is going to take your vehicle or your home.Better yet, our lights and water etc.. Come on now do you really think we want to live this way!!! Who knows tomorrow you might end up in the same boat that we are in, then you will be singing a different tune!!!

  95. For all the anonymous bloggers out there. I have been unemployed for the last two years and I feel that if not for President Obama's compassion over the years before he was president that we would not even have this life line. Being anonymous is just as sad as say nothing. Everyone will not be helped but at least the man is thinking about us. For all the billions in bonuses that past Wall-Street persons received on your dime why are you not so upset about the yachts, vacations, and new mansion these slime-ball are buying with taxpayer money, As for the blogger about the 99 and Tier05 person, I am one of those desperate person and I don't know what I am going to do, but if not for Obama others would not have so just be happy for those that have and God will take care of the rest.

I just do not know why everyone wants to blame someone else for our problems. Bush started this with his letting "the dogs out" with his deregulation over the eight years, and now the sorry Republicans--forgetting they started this avalanche of misery for all American have stonewall the system. So don't get mad at the President, because with all the restrictions placed on him by a corrupt system it is the best that he can do. Roger

  96. Great Job Frank for being patient and letting things happen for you. I have a possible job but it is 170 miles away in Jacksonville, and I may have to do a long commute or move. But it is a job. So for all those that say stupid things like "we (the unemployed) are looking for free-hand outs (i.e. "Anonymous: We should pay attention to the national debt not hand out free money to people who obviously want to stay home) I would say "to Hell with them" because they are lacking compassion for others, and probaly are part of eh entitled who can't see pass their long nose. Keep the faith. Roger
