Faisal Shahzad Sentence Life in Prison after Times Square Bomb Plot

Faisal Shahzad perpetrated the Times Square Bomb plot this May. The Times Square bomb plot was terrifying, and left many wondering if New York would ever be safe again. Shahzad is the scariest of terrorists. He resided not in some mountainous region in the Middle East, rather a middle class neighborhood near New York .

Home grown terrorism or foreign residents of the US who are terrorists are the scariest kind. After all, as the US is the Melting pot of the world, we don’t want to stereotype one type of race or creed. However, that is hard to do if Middle Easterners in the US perpetrate these types of attacks.

The 31 year old will spend life in prison, and was sentenced today in Manhattan . The FBI issued the following statement: “Faisal Shahzad is a remorseless terrorist who betrayed his adopted country and today was rightly sentenced to spend the rest of his life in federal prison. While his life sentence ensures that he will never again threaten the security of New York City and our nation, together we must remain vigilant against those like him who wish to do us harm."

As such, he was made an example of. That’s a very good thing. The New York Times Square bomb plot was thwarted, but only after the vigilance of people who weren’t afraid to call in suspicious activities.

Are you happy Faisal Shahzad was sentenced to life in prison?

  1. I am not happy, don't care about this nut case; however, he is real happy about it. Cheers to idiots that make me feel sane!

  2. I'm happy he was not given the death sentence. That is just what he hoped for. 72 virgins and such......What I'm not happy about is my fellow Americans who are muslim, not standing up and being heard REAL LOUD, that they condemn extremism. Now certainly looks like the perfect opportunity.........I'm sure muslims are reading comments. Now comment.
