Ginny Thomas And Anita Hill & Voicemail

Ginny Thomas and Anita Hill & voicemail went viral today.  You would think that sleeping dogs would be left to lie, but Ginny Thomas called Anita Hill to ask for an apology.  Why? In case you don't remember back in the days of Clarence Thomas's Senate hearing, Anita Hill accused him of sexual harassment. 


In his memoir, "My Grandfather's Son" Clarence Thomas compared himself to the character in To Kill a Mockingbird that was wrongly accused of rape. He maintains his innocence all these years later, and the accusations made by Hill nearly derailed his hopes at becoming a Supreme Court Justice. 


Why Ginny Thomas felt the need to call and leave a VOICEMAIL for Anita Hill asking for an apology is beyond me.  This is something that had been laid to rest, and now the hornet's nest is stirred up right around election time.  With Thomas being one high-profile Tea Party organizer, it seems as if the last thing she would want is for her husband's past being brought up.
