Juan Williams fired...but don't feel bad. He was hired by Fox News. NPR didn't like Juan Williams' views expressed on the O'Reilly Factor, and as such terminated him. Both right and left wing pundits have publicly denounced the firing of Juan Williams, but as such the NPR has stood behind their decision. Besides, it's not like a "sudden change of heart" on the side of the NPR organization would change things. Juan Williams, who typically came on Fox News and did not agree with a lot of their views, has in essence been hired by the organization. A lot of people have called foul on the decision, claiming that it violated Williams' first amendment rights.
To make matters worse, the head of NPR suggested that Juan Williams' comments be saved for his shrink or publicist.
