Father Guido Sarducci is a pseudo-priest played by comedian Don Novelli, who regularly appeared on Saturday Night Live during the 70's, and he appeared at the Rally to Restore Sanity/or Fear yesterday.
Sarducci asked for a "sign" over which religion was right- asking God to send an indication when he read off the "right" religion. No sign was given, which was supposed to show that there's no "right" way or "wrong" way to believe.
What did you think of Father Guido Sarducci at the Rally to Restore Sanity?
ya had to be at least 60 to appreciate.....and i did
ReplyDeleteNope, I'm 45 and I thought he was Great. Especially funny as he paused on "all the Christian religions" looking for a sign...any sign. And the Buddists - "Maybe no sign IS the sign?" "Muslims doughnna eat pork, Jews doughna eat pork. Canna we build on that?"
ReplyDeleteI'm 27 and I love the good father! He was way before my time, I will agree, but I know him and the man is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI used to see him on reruns of SNL on Comedy Central back when they still had the rights to them.
