Are Banks Open On Veteran's Day 2010?

Are banks open on Veteran's Day 2010? Well, to answer the question - it depends.  There are some individual banks that may be open on Veteran's Day but for the most part they will be closed.  The Federal Reserve Bank is also closed on Veteran's Day, so even if your bank is open, your transactions might not be credited to your account until the next business day.

In addition, if your bank is open and you need to send a wire, the wire won't go out until the next business day. You can always head online and do whatever business needs to be done, but keep in mind that many of your transactions will not post until 11/12/2010.

If you usually get paid on Wednesday, Veteran's Day 2010 may delay your paycheck.  However, most employers will pay you prior to a holiday if payday falls on a Holiday.

Are banks open on Veteran's Day 2010? It depends.  However, call your bank, but don't hold your breath. Most banks aren't open on Veteran's day, and even if they are, you won't be able to get some business done.
