Alaska Vote Count 2010 begins, and Joe Miller's camp has already filed suit against Murkowski to ensure that only the votes where Murkowski's name is spelled correctly are counted towards the final vote. However, Murkowski wants the decision to count individual votes to be based on the voter's intent.
Now, if someone just wrote down "Lisa" I could see them throwing out a vote...but Murkowski is a difficult name to spell.
In many respects, it would be much easier had Murkowski ran as an independent who caucuses with the GOP.
To some, Joe Miller filing suit appears to make him look like a sore loser. Shouldn't he wait until the results of the hand count are available?
Some say that this whole ordeal will be rectified in a few days. However, there's indication that the election could drag out for months.
What do you think about the Alaska Vote Count 2010 beginning? Do you side with Miller or Murkowski on this matter?
It's over and big and greedy oil (aka L. Murkowski) will win this thing. It's unfortunate but it's the will of Alaska and we can't change that even though we would want to.
ReplyDeleteLisa got in because her father appointed her. How fair is that? I guess DC style nepotism is alive and well in Alaska, too.
