[CA] California Election Results 2010 [AVAILABLE UPDATES]

California Election results 2010 are coming in. Of course we have learned that propositions like 19 and 23 failed during California election results 2010.  In addition, one district is sending Nancy Pelosi back to Washington for yet another term in Congress and the people of California are sending Barbara Boxer to the Senate again.

Jerry Brown has become the governor, again, after being the governor of the state almost 30 years ago. Meg Whitman didn't win the governor's race despite throwing MILLIONS of dollars of her own money in to the failed campaign.

Carly Fiorina also lost her bid for the Senate seat.

Also failed was Prop 23, which would suspend the controversial AB 23 initiatives until the state's unemployment was down to 5.5% or lower - which hasn't occured in this state even before the economic collapse.

What are your thoughts on the CA California election results that are available?

  2. California has one of the highest unemployment numbers in the Country only outpaced by Michigan and Nevada. As a Californian I am embarrassed for our State. The entire Country is laughing at us, as they should be. These election results prove without a doubt that the majority of Californians are the dumbest idiots on the Planet. I will be leaving this State as soon as possible just to get away from the association. The rest of these idiots get what they deserve, more police state, higher taxes and eventually bankruptcy. Good Luck with that.

  4. I understand this is very low profile Blog, but there is no such thing as AB 23. It is AB 32 that would have been suspended if Prop. 23 had passed. One minute of proofreading can make or break the legitimacy of what you write. Also, "Governor" is a proper noun, so it is CAPITALIZED. I am not trying to be hyper-critical, but when I read this I wondered if some kid was giving his/her analysis of the voting.

  5. Heather commented above that the people of California are morons for electing the people they did. Heather is a Californian
Perhaps Heather is the moron, and not the thirty million people who populate the state and voted against Meg Whitman and Carly F. These two criminally selfish agradandizing people could give a damn about the people on the street or in the office. They only care about themselves and the millions they can hoard and the pomp and status they can achieve. Its Fantastic that these egomanical criminally selfish people lost. Meg has a billion dollars and sees it fit to pay her maid of several years $23.00 an hour. Meg Whitman was punished by God in seeing to it that the $160,000,000 she spent for her election was to no avail. Perhaps she could have paid her maid a dollar or two more over the years instead of blowing it on her selfish, egomanical fantasies. Heather is too young or stupid to see through Meg Whitman and Carly. Let Heather go to work for these billionaires and let her clean their houses at a starting rate of $10.00 an hour. Meg
and Carly, Can you spare it?

  7. Who do you think is to blame for job losses? How can you expect the governement to provide jobs? It is the big corporations that are sending jobs out of the country or expecting one person to do the job of 3 for a less wage than they did 10 years ago. Then came Bush and his wars and favors to the wealthy. Lowering wealthy people's income didn't create jobs and won't now either. I remember the 50's and 60's when jobs and pay were good, but we didn't have the huge amount of wealthy people we do now. Unions were the reason for that. They help keep jobs here because we band together and demand more. As long as CEO's are the ones running for office we will never have jobs..where do you think they will come from? Only the government is hiring now and they need tax money to pay them. That is what FDR did to get us out of the recession. I don't even mind people in other countries getting some money, but it is their elite that keep most of it just like here in the US. We also need to stop spending beyond our means which is a big problem now. Other countries in the industrialized nations don't have huge homes with high energy bills and suv's and 4 cars to a household. Also no 3-4 TV's in the house either. They spend time together in family activities and at parks which are plentiful while ours are empty. Whitman and Fiorina made enormous amounts of money and then threw it away on elections. Why would anyone want to vote for someone who sent jobs out of the country and made enormous salaries doing it. Ebay has been declining steadily and are trying to sell more stock to keep it going. Time for the uninformed to become more informed.

  8. As California goes, so goes the country two years later, this lag being a measure of the slowness of the brains elsewhere. Until we have education to the high level of the rest of the Western World, we will always be behind in the brains department.

  9. I have lived in California my hole life and am proud of that. However, the past few years I have become disillusioned with the direction this state is going. Our childrens education is in the toilet, and our deficit grows everyday. People have no jobs, and are losing their homes. Our taxes are so much higher than many other states. Why are we paying the most and getting the least in return. California schools are some of the worst in the nation, and still we cut more and more from our schools. I honestly have to say that if Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer couldn't get it done before, why do we think they can do it now? I have friends and family who live outside of California, and they think this state is falling on it's ass.

  10. none of the unions of our state are willing to make a sacrifice. so instead the govt wants to raise our taxes. don't forget what happened to Vallejo, by the way! and more companies will move out of the state. and enough Californians voted the Hippie Governor back in; I guess I shouldn't be surprised. and what has Boxer accomplished? give me a list of her accomplishments, I am willing to read it. and she voted against the water for the farmers in Central California; that seems pretty stupid to me. so she cares more about an endangered fish than the workers in Central California, just wonderful, where the unemployment has easily been up to 30% and more. in Europe they call California the land of fruits and nuts. I can see why. welcome to Taxifornia.

  11. Brown got it done before. He is a genuine fiscal conservative and a genuine libertarian. I believe that he was the last CA governor that presided over a budget surplus. I think that he is just what the doctor ordered. California has its problems along with the rest of America, but it is a great place to live with huge beautiful rural areas and beautiful and dynamic cities. I love America and California.
