California Missile Launch: Aircraft Mistaken For Missile?

The California Missile Launch, Aircraft mistaken for missile?  A mystery "missile" launch in California transpired earlier this week, but it turned out that it was only just an airplane.  The Department of Defense, Pentagon, NORAD, and more couldn't explain what appeared to be a rogue missile sailing through the air in California

Many were worried that there was a threat posed to the US from perhaps a Russian ship. However, that doesn't appear to be the case as the Pentagon has come out and said that the mystery missile was, indeed, just a passenger jet.

Not everyone is buying this, however. Many find it hard to believe that it would take days for the FAA, NORAD, the Pentagon, and various agencies to come up with an explanation on what the California missile was.

What do you think about the missile launch? Do you believe the California missile was truly a passenger jet or do you think there is a coverup.

  1. Cover up. This was most likely a failed false flag operation. The lies are coming fast and furious now. How stupid does the US Government think we are. Wake up America!!! NORAD has no idea what this was-cannot confirm? LOL! What a load of steaming horse dung.

  2. Does Uncle Sam takes us all for complete idiots?!? Jesus F'ing Christ… this thing was a missile. We want to know WTF this thing was, now!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Everything isn't a conspiracy.
America has become a nation of idiots.

  5. WHY don't the media DEMAND a feaking answer from the PRESIDENT. We must have been able to track the trail and see where it was launched and I would hope we know where it landed. This really is serious stuff!.

  6. A conspiracy? What the HECK do YOU think it was; it was indeed a missle. If not one of ours then whose? If it was one of ours- why not say so? How do you define conspiracy? I keep forgeting this is the most transparent government we have ever had. LOL

  7. Of coarse the gov is lieing. I do NOT trust them nor have ANY reason to do so. And if we beleive their (lame) excuses then we are stupid, considering their past. But we the people do have many stupid people among us who get hysteric. Orsen Wells radio broad cast war of the worlds in the 40's proves how hysteric (and stupid) we can be. The government will hold that over our heads forever. Yes, they are lieing.

  8. Or should i say "probably a failed false flag operation", just like the Pentagon says it was "probably an airplane".

If it was an airplane, it would not take them 2-3 days to confirm it. Hello, is thing on?

  9. This was a launch of a sub-based Chinese ICBM. It was launched to scare the HELL out of 0bama. It worked.

  10. Aircraft contrails do not exhibit a spiral pattern. Missiles do exhibit spiral patterns because they are rotating. If you look at the smoke trail you can easily see the spiral pattern.

  11. This missile was ordered by a Right Wing military group. It was launched under their new aggressive program called, Nuke The Gay Baby Whales! It's an attempt to radicalize all the leftist groups under one banner so that they can more easily be re-culturalized.

  12. Most likely given the slower speed and flatter trajectory a submarine lauched cruise missle duringthe "boost" phase. Cover up is most likely an attempt to allow military time to recover a "broken arrow" before the rest of the world figures out what happened.

  13. Fine,it's an airplane.I'll buy that if you can give me a flight number, flight plan, maybe have the captain testify to the fact he was in that are at that time.

  14. If this was an aircraft, it has some serious exhaust problems. An unconventional flying object (extraterrestrial) does not use fossil fuel and this certainly used fossil fuel. It was a missile. Who's? Don't know. Why? Don't know. But the US government is once again lying through their teeth and expect us "sheep" to buy it. DON'T!

  15. A great day for area 51 and conspiricy theorists. Talk it up. But come on, get real. A missile launch cover up after that picture-- Not very likely. Contrails can appear to be vertical and can spread out. This does not pass the logic test. On a seperate subject, there is a new article out in the news that the world is coming to end in 2012 based on the projections of an ancient civilization.

  16. It could have been a stealth missile explaining why radar did not pick it up. This is a way to draw plausibly deniable publicity to that capability.

It could have been a test of how the population would respond psychologically.

For the paranoid it could have been George Soros flexing his muscles.

But seriously I confess. I made an optimal design paper airplane and celebrated how well it worked by attaching a smoke bomb and a bottle rocket.

I do wonder who phoned the CBS guy and told him to turn his camera on and which direction to point it :-)
This kinda stuff goes on so the comedy shows can write material that is all

  17. Contrail spirals...missile. Exhaust glowing bright orange...missile. Show me an airliner with an orange engine. Just once. Probably an inert aegis launched from a sub to trial laser based missile defense platforms. If it's a plane why did the FAA deny anything in that airspace. Why haven't the news tracked the number on the craft, flightplan, destination, interviewed the pilot etc.?

    ReplyDelete
  18. It was an USO. The exact thing happened a year ago off of the California Coast. Why isn't anyone talking about the link between the two exact same occurences?

    ReplyDelete
  19. We who live on the California coast have seen many missile launches from Vandenberg Air Force base. That's what this looked like. As the General on Fox News stated:"Planes don't leave con trails from the surface to 5,00 feet". Also. as stated elsewhere, the wide plume at the base of the trail, change of trajectory, and orange flame at the "efflux" is consistent with a missile launch, not a plane's condensation trail. A plane's con trail looks very different, not vertical from the surface. Again, we have all seen with our own eyes, what a missile trail looks like - exactly what this looked like.

One wild theory is that it could be the Chinese. They had a sub "unexpectedly appear" next to an US aircraft carrier a couple of years ago. It was in the British press, never made it here- wonder why? If the Chinese sub could get through 12 ships surrounding an aircraft carrier, not hard to believe it could get to the California coast undetected. The Chinese have expressed many times that they don't like our "naval operations" and "exercises" near their coast - maybe a 'payback'?

  20. Obviously it's a missile. Not many here doubt that. Beyond that, some people here are missing some obvious clues & logic:
It's a missile, so they are lying. If they are lying, it is because they are afraid of the truth getting out. (Therefore it is not a innocuous scientific test).
BIG QUESTION! If the military were testing something, why would they do it during rush hour traffic in L.A.?!
Either it was: 1) a mistaken launch by U.S. military, or 2) an intimidation tactic by a foreign power, or 3) a rogue domestic group
The last option is unlikely due to many obvious factors (feasability, funding, gov't crackdown etc...)

    ReplyDelete
  21. The object appears to be a weather baloon with a smoke generator suspended below it. Its slow upward movement proves that it isn't a missile and the fact that the smoke trail starts at ground level and rises upward proves it isn't an aircraft.

  22. Cover up! Passenger planes don't travel straight. Nor have I ever seen one leave that much of a heavily fogged/smoked trail.

  28. Anybody who doesn't think this was an actual rocket launch just doesn't think, period.

There is a large population of amatuer rocket builders in California, and especially southern California. I know, I'm one of them. When you think of amatuer rocket builders, there are the kiddie toys like Estes rockets and then there are the large amatuer rockets with P and N sized engines. These guys are big!

But in California, there are people building liquid fueled rockets that put the P engines to shame. I know, I build some and I've seen several launches that hit 50 miles altitude.

So my guess is that this a launch by one of the screwier groups. They probably thought if they launched beyond the territorial limits of the US, they'd escape the reach of US jurisprudence. BTW, they are wrong.

I'd be looking for a boat with a flat platform or a small barge perhaps. But in the 1950s, the Navy experimented with dumping a missle into the Pacific Ocean and then launching it while it was actually bobbing about in the water. The Navy dude who did this was Robert Truax who went on to found "Sea Launch" which is completely different from the Boeing venture. Here is an interesting link... http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/seabee.htm

Anyway, I think there's a bunch of dudes hunkered down over beers and not talking much to people outside their little circle. They probably thought they were far enough offshore to escape notice... whoops!

  29. They should be able to inform us as to where the "missile" landed and from where it was launched from. This does not look like any plane I've ever seen. This is a cover up for something else. Come on! And to have our government go, Uh we don't know, it wasn't one of ours. That's all we can tell you. That is plain stupid. I hope more people can wake up to the games going on. —TH/Los Angeles

  30. If there are photos or videos from multiple, widely separated locations, they can get close to figuring out the launch point. But we pretty much know where it was launched from... the Pacific Ocean. To do something more precise (i.e closer than a couple of square miles) requires things like radar with skin painting capabilities and/or optical trackers called theodelites that happened to be turned on and pointed in the right direction.

The military doesn't keep a couple of thousand folks sitting around manning these devices in case there is a rogue launch off the California coast. They do get these folks involved when there is a launch fired from Vandenburg and the weeks preceeding the launch is spent in an intense effort to get the radars, theodelites and downlinks all calibrated. So to think anybody is going to have a radar track or something that will identify exactly where this thing flew from just doesn't understand what is involved.

More interesting to me is... where did it land? You can bet the government is scrambling to find whatever is left of the vehicle where ever it landed. From the remains, they'd be able to find out who built it in a hurry...

As for the speculation that this was a Russian/Chinese/North Koreas SLBM... come on guys! Let's talk about something more feasible, like a second shooter in Dallas...

  31. People, I'm VERY experienced with missles/rockets as well as missle design and missles fly MUCH faster than that. That object is moving way too SLOW to be considered a rocket. So for the idiots saying to think or "claiming" to be rocket experts, your the one that needs to think. Rockets don't move that slow. Also, stop with the conspiracy bs! So what, the government lies to us. Guess what....they always did! There's nothing knew here. Get over yourselves! You are all nowhere near as smart as you or any other American thinks he/she is.

  33. "It was a missile!!!! Garrrrr!!! GIVE US ANSWERS!!! DERRR" Yeah, I suppose last years "missile" from nearby San Clemente was also a missle since it looked a hell of a lot more like a missile than this thing did. But it wasn't, it was a plane. Really, people need to actually do a smattering of research befor jumping into the deep end of conspiratorial idiot mode. 37. How about the explanation that "it is none of your business Joe America!". If you don't have a clearance and need to know then you don't need to know. We need to stop thinking everything is everyone's business. Its not, if you're a civilian citizen you are not entitled to know the answer to every question you can possibly ask. Get over yourself. Just be glad it wasn't launched towards land trust that your military has got you covered. If not, carry your curious butt to your local recruiting office and join up. You'll know more then. 40. To the retired Veteran who said "how about its none of your business Joe America" I would like to say to him that I dont trust the US Government at all!! Given the FACTS that it took so long for an official explanation and NORAD saying they were clueless and actually SEEING the video with my own eyes I can say that it is NOT an airplane-It's a missile or a rocket. Furthermore, why should I beleive our military can protect us here on our own soil? They are too busy taking orders trying to secure the depleting Oil supply. Sept 11, 2001 was a false flag operation and no one can me think otherwise. We are being controlled by a Corporate Government. They dont care what the people want. It is called a de facto government. There are people who are working very hard to return our Government back to a de jure goverment and return power to the people. Also know as a REPUBLIC.

A republic is a form of government in which the people or some portion thereof retain supreme control over the government,[1][2] and in which the head of government is not a monarch.[3][4] The word "republic" is derived from the Latin phrase res publica, which can be translated as "a public affair".

  41. Mike,

I'm reminded of a bumper sticker I once read: "Love the country you live in, or live in the country you love". If you're so distrusting of your government and you think you do indeed need to know the "ground truth" then please either follow my advice and join up or get yourself a one way ticket elsewhere. Like I said, you are not owed an answer, move on. Your military does not stand watch and fight and die for your country so that you can badger them about every detail you think you're entitled. It also doesn't seem very patriotic to grab any quote or definition you want and spin it to make your point. That is exactly what we dislike about our govt, right?

    Same Veteran

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous Vet-

That bumper sticker you are reminded of is just more brainwashing. I was born in the USA. I work hard and I pay taxes and for what...so my rights can be stripped away for the sake of protecting me? While illegal immigrants come here to take our jobs, not pay taxes and create more of a burden on our society. The "love it or leave it" motto is just a cop out. I am not sure what you did in the military, but you were probably taking orders from someone. That's how the Government thinks they can control the entire population. You probably still think that thermite wasnt used to cut the beams in the World Trade Center.

    http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/wtc_charges.html?q=wtc_charges.html

And there is such a thing as the 1st Amendment or has that been taken away? And the people in America are getting increasingly tired of being lied to. It is time to restore the power to the people and take back what is ours. It is time to restore the Republic of the United States.

    www.republicoftheunitedstates.org

So the news article asked what we think, cover up or airplane? I think there is way more support that this was a cover up and we will probably never know what it really was.
