[AK] Alaska Election Results 2010 [SENATE] The Alaska Senate race won't be over for quite some time. It appears as if the candidate "write-in" has won the majority of the votes, meaning that all of the ballots must go to the state's capital to be hand counted and verified. This becomes a subjective mess, and one we can thank incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski for. She lost the GOP nomination to Joe Miller, a Tea Party favorite who had the endorsement of Sarah Palin during the primaries.
Lisa Murkowski ran as a write-in, and showcased that the GOP isn't as united as they should be given that we are in the worst of times.
Joe Miller, had Murkowski not won, would likely be heading to Washington. However, I can't blame Murkowski for trying to keep her job.
All that being said, it has to be verified that the votes were in favor of Lisa. However do you really doubt that the majority of the votes aren't for her?
