New Planet Discovered 2010, A Planet Like Earth Gliese 581G

New planet discovered 2010 a planet like earth aka Gliese 581G is making headlines. In what could be one of the most novel discoveries of our modern day, the new planet discovered could possibly support life. Of course, we don't know if it does or not. However, it's located in the Goldilocks zone from its red dwarf sun.

The conditions are that the temperatures on the planet aren't too hot or too cold to support life. Right now, it's not even certain what the planet is made of. For all we know, it could be made of all gas. If that's the case, no one could live there! It could also be made primarily of ice as well. We have no idea.

Furthermore, the life on the planet would be unique, as one half of the planet is always day and the other is always night, as it doesn't rotate on its axis like the earth days.

Planet Gliese 581G is going to go down in the history books as something amazing. Before we start booking travel to the planet in another solar system it's worthwhile to note that the new planet is 20 light years from earth, and as such would take hundreds of years to travel to using today's best technology.

Some of our readers have had some interesting things to say about the New Planet Found 2010. Reader Anonymous said "i agree i believe its planet x, which is orbiting our planet and the reason we have been told is because its now visible to amateur astronomers and people will know soon enough, looks like 2012 is still on and now proof is space"

Another Anonymous reader suggested that "could this be the missing planet that the Mayans and Sumerians were talking about ? and how has it taken this long to be discovered ? is this in fact nibiru or planet x making its 360,000 orbit of earth ? perhaps in the next year or so we may see this planet getting nearer, after all if its just visible i doubt they could determine just yet that it is planet x and is slowly approaching earth.......only time will tell but history left behind tells us of what is to come and to me it looks very very true"

What do you think of the new planet discovered 2010, a planet like earth Gliese 581G?

New Planet Like Earth Discovered, Gliese 581G (Goldilocks)

A New Planet like earth discovered, Gliese 581G is in the Goldilocks zone. What does this mean? It means that it's the right distance from the star it orbits, a red dwarf similar to our own sun, to support life. Although we aren't certain if intelligent lifeforms exist on Gliese 581G, it's the first time we've found such a planet which has these properties.

Although the planet could support life, no one alive today will see it. It's 20 light years from earth, meaning that the light from the planet takes 20 years to reach earth. To travel there would take hundreds of years using the best technologies currently available.

Gliese 581G is an exciting discovery. Many people have been buzzing about it for days, as it's really something novel.

Scientists will look at the new planet discovered like earth. Right now, it's not certain if it's made of rock, ice, or even mostly gas. There's no guarantee that this discovery in the elusive "Goldilocks zone" the New planet like earth Gliese 581g even supports life. Hopefully, we find out in my lifetime because I'd really like to know.

New Planet Discovered 2010; An Earth Like Planet Found?

A new planet discovered 2010 is making headlines. The new found planet is called Gliese 581G, and it's really an exciting discovery. It's located in the so-called "Goldilocks Zone" where the temperatures are just right to sustain life. There are marked similarities between Gliese 581G and our very own planet earth, as they both go around a red dwarf star.

To get to the new planet discovered in 2010 it would take HUNDREDS of years. That means that no living person today will likely visit the planet, although scientists may try to study it and find out more about its environment. We may even send a message to them, to see if we can get a response. Any response would surely indicate that intelligent lifeforms were there.

This is a breakthrough, and an amazing discovery. Although the planet is 20 light years from earth, that's relatively close in space terms. There's an endless supply of solar systems, planets, and stars we have yet to discover. When a new planet such as Gliese 581g is found it's always a welcomed thing.

New Planet Discovered 2010: A Planet Gliese 581G Could Bear Aliens?

A New Planet discovered 2010 is a headline out of this world. The new planet is special because it could support life like earth. Dubbed Gliese 581G, the new planet discovered is 20 light years away from earth and would take hundreds of years to reach with the transportation methods we have right now.

There's also the possibility that the planet could support lifeforms. It's located in the "Goldilocks" zone in its respective solar system, and therefore has the right gravity and light conditions to support lifeforms.

However there is one thing - the planet doesn't rotate and therefore it's always day on one half and always night on the other. In addition, it only takes about 37 days to rotate around its sun.

The idea that there could be extraterrestrial beings has long enthused those who love outer space. However, until now there was no PROOF that such life form existed. The new planet discovered 2010 planet Gliese 581G gives us hope that it exists.
