Alaska Election Results 2010: Senate Lisa Murkowski Leads Miller? Lisa Murkowski ran as a write-in candidate for the Alaskan Senate seat after losing the GOP nomination to Sarah Palin backed Joe Miller. If you thought that her days in politics were over, you're wrong. She ran as a write-in and she just might win! Had she stayed out of the race, Joe Miller would likely be headed to Washington despite multiple scandals shrouding his campaign.
This is another key race that the entire country has watched. If Joe Miller loses, some say that this indicates that Sarah Palin isn't as politically important as she might otherwise think herself to be.
We will keep you informed as exit polls are announced This time it appears though as if Lisa Murkowski may keep her job after all, despite losing the primaries.

I wanted to sign my comment here, but I have to admit, I was afraid to. I know people are not as stupid as she'd like to believe, but she definitely has some whacko supporters who are probably dangerous!

That's a really funny analogy, AND, yes, you have to be pretty dumb not to know who the front-runner for the write-in was for this senate race... but hopefully you DO know that you can "Write-In" anyone you like who is eligible (correct age, prerequisites, etc) on that line? So you don't exactly need a list.... or is this your first day in this country?

I have never had a senatorial candidate do that. At that moment she became my gal! She did it all herself, no photo ops of the loving family - the former Prime Minister of the UK once said: "My children are people, not props."

It appears the people of Alaska have spoken and one lesson is never quit, no matter what the circumstances.
I am not an Alaska resident but watched this race with great hope that Alaska is a good judge of not only character but of tireless work ethic.

I also saw this board with a huge number of liberals acting like my 8-year old. I can only assume this lack of class is due to the sting of the huge Republican gains.
