So will California get any better than it is now? With 12.4% unemployment it's not going to be easy to turn the state around. However, Jerry Brown held the post as California governor many years ago.
Barbara Boxer kept her seat in the Senate, and so did Nancy Pelosi. However, it's not certain if Pelosi will serve out the term or if she will bow out after she will no longer be the Speaker of the House.
Prop 23 failed, and that would have all but repealed the controversial AB 32 which was passed a few years ago.
What do you think about the California election results 2010?
Boo! Was hoping Californians would start to get a clue. Very bad decisions made for our state.
ReplyDeleteOkay Jerry. I hope the people are more pleased with you than they were with Arnold. If you do the right thing and the people do not like it, then so be it. As long as you do the right thing that is all that matters.
ReplyDeleteWas really hoping Boxer would be out
ReplyDeleteI didn't vote for Brown or Boxer so don't blame me when things stay the same or get worse....
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin and her conservatives are dangerous....
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is smart and attractive.
ReplyDeleteJust deal with it.

Why are all of CA's rural districts RED and the coastal urban areas BLUE?
ReplyDeleteCould it be some kind of general relationship between education and political preference?
I'm freakin' tired of the Californias and New Yorks of the U.S. floating this country's cultural flagships, technological innovations, and international image; while the Bible belt stands RED, in denial about being propped up by their so-so-feared 'Socialist' agriculture subsidies.
Secede. You won't be missed in government and in our laws, and instead you'll be dependent for the same things, you'll just be transacting with a different Union.
Brown and Boxer won? Don't expect to see this state get any better over the next four years.
ReplyDeleteWhat a disaster. I'm embarrassed to be a Californian right now. When California stays at the bottom of the nation, maybe our liberal airheads will learn their lesson. No... they won't. But, maybe the rest of the clueless cool-aid drinking Democrats will finally learn a lesson. God help us.
ReplyDeleteBrown and Boxer win, but more importantly, prop 26 wins and this will put an end to the minority rule by the reactionary Republican party in our state that have been destroying it since the Reagan administration. We also rejected sweet heart deals for corporations, preserved our environment and have voted to support our state park system.
ReplyDeleteoh my god , do you still want more republican , after Arnold, you are so crazy!
ReplyDeleteAs a former HP engineer,I am so happy that Carly the jerk was not elected. She was a horrible CEO,out for herself in all her dealing. Never for the company and especially never out for the employees. That's why she was fired.
ReplyDeleteIf you are unhappy living in a state that has historically been democratic - MOVE TO A RED STATE. I have friends who moved from a red state to California because they wanted to raise their children in a democratic community. Whitman and Fiorina didn't win becaue they stood on a platform of running this states governement like a business. As did our former governor Arnold - look how well that turned out. We impeaced Davis, a democratic and elected Arnold because we thought it was the right thing to do. That's why Brown was re-elected. I watch a variety of channels when I do watch TV and the ads I saw Whitman run didn't address a single issue - they throw mud at Brown and when asked to agree to stop airing negitive ads she declined. I would accept and expect that behavior of my 5 year old nephew but not of someone I'd want representing me.
ReplyDeleteAs for Palin - she may be attractive. She is certainly not my type. Smart she is not. How can you even call someone with her track record smart? Let's ignore the whole Russia from her backyard comment. A few weeks before the election a radio shock jockey called her office and spoke to her. He pretended to be the Prime Minister of Canada (if I recall correctly) in the conversation with Ms.Palin he refered to several foreign 'diplomats', whom she had meet by the incorrect names. She never paused, never corrected him (even when he got his own name wrong) and went right on lapping up his compliments. How can you call this woman smart. I am happy to live in California and happier still to admit I voted for Brown and Boxer.
Calif. Rest in Peace ! NO CHANGE !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see Pelosi in the house! Nancy, isn't it time to move out?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how many retards believe the trouble California has is because of Repulicans.... get a clue. The liberal Democrats have been in charge of California for years. How's that working for ya? -Jobs are leaving, taxes are going up, unemployment is second highest in the nation. The sad thing is the people in California that work are getting tired of the rest of the free loading idiots and are leaving the state... good luck you're going to need it.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to socialism.
ReplyDeleteWell Said: California Proud said...
ReplyDeleteSo you're upset with all the "idiot Democrats" who've ruined California? My only hope is that you RED necks pack a snow shovel with the rest of your belongings as you leave our fair state for some place with a warmer climate.
ReplyDeletemust be an unlimited supply of dumb asses in California
ReplyDeleteThere is.
ReplyDeleteTo the idiot that said the Bible belt that is RED is being "propped up" by agricultural subsidies....have you ever been to the Bible belt? I have been here all of my life and have NEVER known anyone who received such subsidies. The RED in the Bible belt work and earn a living, it is the BLUE that receive federal and state aid, since such aid was created by BLUE IDIOTS like you. No Dem. has ever given ME anything and you need to worry about your state before you worry about mine. I do hope you stay there because you might be greeted with something less than southern hospitality should you show up here.
ReplyDeleteI am completely embarrassed to call myself a Californian, born and raised here (not transplanted) cant believe how screwed up our state is, i just got laid off and hate that I have to collect unemployment, finding a job is tough. I'm afraid it just got a lot harder.......
ReplyDeleteyoung dumb voters......
I to was born and raised in California. However, after 30 years I uprooted my family and left the state 5 months ago. You don't know how bad it is until you move away and avoid the topic of where you came from (California is hated by most of the U.S.).
ReplyDeleteCalifornia has already fallen, it's time people opened their eyes and saw it for what it is!
I moved from California in 2009 after 10 yrs of living there after seeing the writing on the wall of CA politicians running that state into the ground, which unfortunately started in the late 70's when Jerry Brown put the first nail in CA 's coffin by allowing prop 13 to go through unchallenged. With special olympics superstars like Pelosi, Boxer, and Brown continuing to have a job, CA will unfortunately continue to sink. At least Pelosi can't continue to drag the rest of the country down with her idiocy...
ReplyDeleteI so agree with the person that pointed out that democrats have been in charge of the state of California for a very long while, having one Republican governor does not a republican state make .. Heck we've ol' Boxer representing us for 28 years at the Federal level. They've jacked up fees, taxes and whatever else they can get their hands on. We have one of the worst education systems, and yet one of the most expensive. I love have liberals think they are so much smarter than a conservative minded person. I suppose wanting to be fiscally responsible and have a smaller government footprint somehow makes a person question my intellect, well so be it.
ReplyDeleteThose liberal/blue areas of our state are normally where most of the benefits and entitlements go. Is it any wonder that the red portion of the state that gets up goes to work is tired of supporting the entitlement class?
