Nevada Election Results 2010: Senate Harry Reid Beats Sharron Angle. Harry Reid is keeping his post as the Senate Majority Leader, as Fox News reports that Reid has beaten GOP opponent and the face of the Tea Party Sharron Angle. Harry Reid owes his success to the entire Democratic party. Obama, Michelle Obama, and many other high powered Democrats have campaigned for him, and it was successful.
Sharron Angle, despite campaign endorsements from Senator John McCain and former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was unable to win the Senate seat. She was seen as the "Face of the Tea Party" and her defeat was a victory for President Obama, whose agenda has been more and more threatened by the tea party agenda.
