Arkansas Election Results 2010: Blanche Lincoln vs John Boozman Results

Arkansas Election Results 2010 Blanche Lincoln vs John Boozman - Incumbent senator Blanche Lincoln has lost her Senate seat in the state of Arkansas, falling to the GOP candidate after Arkansans voted against her, mainly because she's seen as a rubber stamp to Obama, especially when it comes to healthcare.

Blanche Lincoln held on to her party nomination by the skin of her teeth during the primaries.  Her ads leading up to election day featured a somber Lincoln pretty much begging Arkansans not to give up on her during election day.

However, John Boozman has become the Senator Elect for the Natural State, after his campaign successfully played on frustrations on the current administration.  Even with gaining this Democratic seat, the Republicans still have a long way before they can take power of the Senate.

What do you think of Arkansas Election Results 2010, Blanche Lincoln leaving office?

  1. Only time blanche came to Arkansas was to run re-election drives. She does not know the heartbeat of Arkansas anymore, maybe she never did.

  2. She should not have crossed the Union's, if you tell somebody something to win you better make good on it.

  3. The people of Arkansas have spoken. Thank God and Greyhound she's gone!!!!! Another Obama lover has gone down.

  4. Honestly, I am not surprised that she ever got elected to begin with. Politicians get elected for promising the moon, they just can't often back it up. Blanche never could. One of my least favorite candidates of all time.

  5. Happy to see Blanche pack it up and ship out. She like other's forgot those seats don't belong to them. They belong to the people who voted for them. Maybe Congress is finally getting the message.

  6. The thing that we should be doing is praying, instead of passing Judgement. Whose to say that Boozman going to do any better? Another thing we should remember change don't happen over night. Obama has only been in office just under two years, and the mess that he walked into took years to accumulate. He's President not God, let us remember that.

  7. You're right. He is only President and not God. I agree with 10:46 pm. it took years to mess things up. Obama inherited the mess. Another thing, if congress would WORK together instead of simply working against OBAMA, then perhaps, we would see change happen. We won't see it happen when people set out to make sure ONE man is destroyed. He can't sign anything into law without having first gone through congress. Well, that has been my understanding. If that isn't the case, why do we even elect congressmen at all?

I suppose I'll post anonymous, since everyone else has.

  8. I'm a democrat who isn't the least bit sad to see Lincoln get beat--I only wish her replacement was smarter. Talk about lose, lose this election. I was disappointed with Lincoln from day one, I only wish she'd lost the nomination. My fellow Arkansans believe they've traded up, they're wrong--all they got was a slightly more conservative dolt to replace the one they already had.

  9. Blanche is genuinely concerned about the state; she'll be a loss. Her replacement may be a nice man,but he's the ultimate do-nothing. In spite of their seeming disdain for it, Arkansas voters need the influx of federal money she helped provide. This is a poor state.

  10. For those making this about Obama. The congress has been rubber stamping his ideas since he won the office. No one read or understood the health care bill. They all voted to throw money at problems with the stimulus bills. They pushed the cap and trade bill until after the election so the politicians can not be held accountable during this election. Our freedoms, rights, and personal powers are being stripped away a little at a time by all of them. It is only getting worse. We learn nothing from the past and make it worse as we move along. Entitlements and the free money for nothing system is killing our country as the politicians keep pushing us to turn against each other. I for one hate that my grandchildren will receive a country so bad in debt china will own us. It was bad at the end of Bushes term but Obama has made it worse. The democrats controlled the congress for the last 4 years. It is their fault our house is falling down around us. I do not blame Bush or Obama. I blame Congress. I voted all incumbents out. I did not care about party lines. Hell, the new guys can't do any worse.

Oh yea I am not scared to post under my name

  11. To anonymous @ 11:24.

We may be in a poor state and she may have brought the state money but at what cost? Higher Federal taxes? Higher national debt? Not worth it to me and many others. These people in DC are making a career out of offices held. It was never ment to be that way. We need term limits and for all these idiots to quit making laws just to spend more of our money.

  12. way to go Arkansas, you've perpetuated GW Bush and his cronies agenda just as they wanted it...next, complete failure of the economy, your older parents health care negated, and your hunting rights handed over to Texas...hell you can't hunt in Texas unless you know the Bush's or have an oil well... so go hunt in AR. Arkansas, the little Bro of Texas...I bet you are proud

  13. Arkansas and the US will regret this. Boozman is for big money and keeping the rich rich. Arkansas and family farmers lost today.

  14. I'm glad Blanche is gone. I've lived in Arkansas my whole life, and I didn't hear a peep out of her from the past 6 years until it was re-election time. Unfortunately, I wish Bill Halter had been able to grab the Dem. seat during the Primaries.

  15. There is never a right person for the job when you are talking about house and senate. The best we can hope for is someone that will work hard and fight for what is right. We usually only get to choose from candidates that are put there by big money. The country voted for change 2 years ago and that what we got. Now we have voted for change again and thats what we will get... change, can you spare some.

  16. Boozman win is still not a victory for Arkansas. It doesn't matter The economy in South Arkansas is still like a third world country...there are no jobs nor opportunities... When most kids finish college in Arkansas they usually leave Arkansas. We need State government officials to work on building the economy in Arkansas...standing around blaming Obama will not improve anything. Bring Jobs to south Arkansas!!!!

btw Blanch Lincoln did a terrible job at campaigning I don't even know if she even came to South Arkansas no wonder she lost....

  18. The uninformed voters of my state can stay backward with Boozman. I love Arkansas, but I'm not proud this morning. And I'll sign this! Kate Schaffer

  19. Like many others. We did not vote FOR any party. We voted against the incumbents. There needs to be terms limits for the House and Senate just like the President. Also, when they retire, they need to live by the same standards, same retirements, and same healthcare they created for the rest of us. Let's clean house up there and start with fresh blood. Can't be any worse.

  20. John BoozmanBad For Arkansas! Lets all get ready for higher taxes and unresponsive senator :(

  21. Proof Blanche doesn't listen to Arkansan's. I sent here an e-mail last June telling I wasn't going to vote for her unless she jumped off the Obama wagon. My only response from her was to receive a solicitation for a campaign contribution.

  22. The Democrats are in the seats for the Unions and special interest. The Republicans are in the seats for big business and oil. Sure they will promise you things, and some will come to pass, but you can bet their supporters will benefit from it in some fashion. Too bad there is no party out there that would truly stand up for the people of America. You just have to pick the lesser of 2 evils.

  23. Not proud of Arkansas for being so backward and small minded... but not surprised. Too bad. Sad day for Arkansas. Will miss Blanche for sure. - K. Yates

  24. For all of you who think Lincoln did a good job, she did not get re-elected for a reason, wake up, quit voting just for your party, look at the candidate. We can make term limits law by making changes in the way we vote.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Blanche was in office too long and had lost her way, flip flopped on issues. We need fresh eyes and minds on these issues. I believe term limits should be imposed. Get your(peoples)agenda done and move on. The government agents are THE PEOPLE OF THE USA's servants. NOT the other way around. They are there to purpose bills and laws for the people. They are NOT there to RULE and DICTATE to US. Wake up America! Get involved, be a voice, CARE about what our nation is doing! Stop throwing blame to each administration! Fix it and go on....

  26. We need someone to represent Arkansas that isn't content to "bring home the bacon" to Ar. Our country is broke from foreign wars and adventurism which includes 1500 military bases around the world, windfall profits to big corporations and banks, and the biggest ponzi scheme ever in the Federal reserve. We need someone with enough intelligence to bring us back from the edge of collapse, and not just worry about bacon and being on the Agri Committee.

  27. The political commentators are talking about Lincoln losing because of health care reform. If they would talk to the Arkansas Democrats who did NOT vote for Lincoln, they would hear a different story. Every Democrat that I talked to who did not vote for Lincoln, it was because she was too conservative. I think if Halter had won the primary, it would have been a different story. Lincoln was just too middle of the road for everyone: too Democrat for Republicans, too moderate for Democrats.

And I think one of the Democrats' biggest mistakes wasn't the health care reform bill, it was CALLING it the health care reform bill. People had no idea what it consisted of, and there are *still* people think it consists of the government taking over hospitals and determining who gets to live and who gets to die. It's Health Insurance Reform, which was desperately needed! Instead of backtracking and apologizing for signing onto that legislation, they should have owned it, and explained what exactly it is.

Arkansans who voted for Boozman are idiots... most have no idea what his platform is, and if they did would NOT be voting for him. "Fair" Tax, here we come...

  28. The comments reflect the country, divided, frustrated and uneducated.

  29. There is ABSOLUTELY no guarantee this clown will do any better, but hopefully, he won't do worse. Having looked at some of his record, I think Arkansas (hopefully) got the "lesser" (and I use the term VERY loosely) of the two evils.

  30. Finally, she's gone.

  31. Well to the comment of the BILL bring insurance reform some of it is. But when you tell me I am to be forced to buy a product or be fined then it is unfair and unconstitutional. I work in the health care industry and see people on Medicare and medicaid all the time. Even those people use the ambulance and ERs as a free clinic and taxi ride. That is abuse of the system. Most are not even close to an emergency. If you have a 100 degree temp for three days and the sniffles but have no car or do not feel like driving does not mean call the ambulance at 3am when there is no change in your condition and you state it might even be a little bettter. I am talking about 20-30 somethings in relatively good health. It is only going to get worse.

Insurance rates are going to go even higher at faster rates when the laws fully enacted in 2014. These are private companies and have a right to make a profit. Just like auto and home owners insurance. The reform should have started small like interstate policy sales. Just like auto insurance If that did not help then try another. Step. A with the current bill most insurance companies will fold. When this happens the insurance will be picked up by the federal government as they will have no choice. Theywill do it under the guise of keeping affordable insurance out there. Yours and my taxes will go even higher to subsidize this move. Making our country even more socialistic and under federal government control.

I do not want this I would rather be FREE and accept my own PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

  32. Democrates are such sore losers. When someone votes against them, they must be idiots or uneducated.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Every time I called her office (OR Pryor's) they were too busy to answer the phone and their mailboxes were full. During normal busine4ss hours, there is NO excuse for this. This is the main reason I want them both gone. Boozeman voted entire Obama agenda except one. Will see if he can find the time to listen to his constituents...

    ReplyDelete
  34. I just hope all the voters that were against Obama, are not on Social Security. We wont ever get another raise as long as some republican do nothing is in office. Thanks alot folks

  35. Anyone who honestly believes that Senora Blanch is too conservative must have his head buried in the sand. She is an extreme liberal and has supported everything that is anti-conservative. I am glad she is finally gone. She is very similar to Mr. Pelosi.

  36. The real reason we have the situation we have today and will have tomorrow is not due to who is in office in the US - The reason is that the U.S. is full of people with a do-good world mentality, but forget that charity begins at home. We give away billions of dollars every year to help some other country (knowing full well that it isn't a drop in the bucket for what they need) BUT, it makes us have that warm and fuzzy feeling that we helped. This has been going on since we paid for damages done in WWII in countries where we literally SAVED their countries, and then we were sold the notion that we had to also pay for it. We are still paying for it. We have raised 3 generations of "the entitlement mentality". COMMON SENSE- If you spend more than you take in you are going to go broke, regardless of how much money you print and fingers you point. This is just what it is, whether it is in your house or the big White House.

  37. Liberal-Concervative, Left-Right, Republican-Democrat. These are all terms used to divide our country and make us fight amongst ourselves. Terms used to tag us into a group. The only group that makes a difference is the American group. Our country should work together to accomplish a common goal, take care of ourselves. I beleive in our form of government, but i think we can do better "to" ourselves. Our elected officials do not ask us our opinion on anything. This should be changed. Please, bring the jobs back to the U.S. this would change and help so much in our nation. If I had $200 dollars in the bank and spent $500, I would be in trouble. Should the government be any different. Thanks for listening. Jon Harlow

  39. Finally!! Now let's clean up the mess she made. Two more years and the worst joke ever played on Americans will be over. One and done!! The only ones who should vote for Obozo are the lazy, no good welfare offenders who will never work for a living, just complain that they are not being given enough.
