Glenn Beck, George Soros Controversy Continues

Glenn Beck, George Soros controversy continues. Glenn Beck is a polarizing figure, to say the least. Although many of Glenn Beck's predictions have come true over the years, and although I think that he is a very well meaning individual, perhaps some lines have been crossed in the whole George Soros scandal.

George Soros is a billionaire "philanthropist", who, has arguably used his fortune to promote an agenda. According to Glenn Beck, Soros is responsible for a multitude of steps which, have led to many worldwide economic catastrophes.

To an extent, Soros is also somewhat responsible for Beck's personal economic catastrophe, with his MediaMatters.org site watching Beck like a hawk, and various organizations he's associated with reaching out to Beck's advertisers - and many of them have pulled out from backing the pundit.

Perhaps Beck took it too far, when he claimed that George Soros, a Jewish man, could have taken part in the Nazi occupation of his native Hungary - and you can read more about that here.

Do you think that George Soros is a puppet master, or do you think that Glenn Beck is taking things too far? Weigh in below.

  4. I despair at the gross stupidity of Americans that so many actually fall for Becks conspiracy theories. Whether Beck himself is daft or evil is difficult to judge. His viewers on the other hand - not so much.

  6. I think that Beck went too close to a personal attack however Soros's claim that funding political organisations is philanthropy is too rich by by far. The author above made an important point that many of Beck's predictions have come true including the latest stimulus package that monetizes US debt - a move that has been internationally condemned. Whether or not you like his views, on-screen persona or love of a conspiracy theory, he has a right in the US to make his case. You, the viewer, have a right not to watch and feed the Glenn Beck agenda, or switch off. I recently lived in Singapore where you have no such rights and I know where I would rather live. Long live Glenn Beck on his side and the likes of Colbert on the other!
