Prop 19 Election Results 2010

Prop 19 election results 2010 aren't available yet, but they will by by the end of the night. Prop 19 is one of the most widely watched ballot measures, not only in the state of California but throughout the country as well.

Prop 19 calls for the legalization of marijuana, not just for medicinal purposes but also for casual and personal use as well. Believe it or not, Field polls leading up to the Prop 19 election have pegged that it will NOT pass. The polls show 42% support as opposed to 49% opposition.

No matter what happens, supporters of the bill note that it at least has opened a dialogue. If Prop 19 does pass, it might face some opposition from the Federal government. However, it could pave the way for more states to legalize marijuana.

What do you think? Should the Prop 19 election results be positive or negative?

  4. Yes, just pass already please.

  5. Yes. Prop 19 NEEDS to pass. Money is everything. Life revolves around money. Marijuana will do nothing but generate revenue. Just as alcohol generates revenue every hour of everyday. All other propaganda is ridiculous. The nonsense about it being easily available to children, is just false. Compare marijuana to alcohol. You don't need to be a politician to know the flower, or herb, known as marijuana ten times less harmful than alcohol.

  6. we are guna get high regardless why not make some money of it?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Let's face it. 90% of college students smoke marijuana. Most young people are for MJ minus the christian/conservative population.

I'm from PA and PA follows CA decisions... if MJ would be legalized, well.. then I wouldn't have to move out of PA :)

  8. Prop 19 should absoluely pass and I am shocked it is not. It would fix the budget gap and reduce prison overcrowding. Crime rates would go down massively. The only reason it didn't pass was because the bs they teach you in school aboout how crazy bad it is. It is not culturally accepted and thats all the opposers really cared about. Not the fact how much it would help. I am actually angry at these results

    ReplyDelete
  9. End prohibition; adults should do what they like, short of real crime.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Omg. What's the big friggin deal, pass it already. Holy crap I can't take it any longer

    ReplyDelete
  11. As a smoker, I don't see a need to be taxed when I'm comfortable already. Neither do I want phillip morrison adding additives to my herb

    ReplyDelete
  12. I really hope it passes but I'm not too optimistic...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Uhh, the prop allows you to grow your own, so I don't think phillip morrison cares about what you have growing inside or in your back yard.

    ReplyDelete

  25. yee on prop 19 lets make california history

    ReplyDelete
  26. yes on 19 from indiana

    ReplyDelete
  27. Umm... to the one person who says no because of pot-head hippies. You do realize that you can't really find them anywhere except california. They are already here. The only thing that will really change is that california will actually start making money of pot. The usage won't really change.

    ReplyDelete
  28. im a card holder and its great meds that dont deserve all the negative press. lets

    ReplyDelete
  29. This has benefits from an industrial perspective (clothes, ropes, oil alternatives, etc) as well as personal freedoms. I have yet to meet a dangerous person high on marijuana.

Additionally, I remember from my childhood - it was easier to get street drugs than alcohol as the shop owners did not want trouble from the ATF. Legalizing it will diminish its use among people under 18 or 21 (whatever age we designate as legal age).

    ReplyDelete
  30. This proposition needs to be passed. Induvisuals who vote no, really dont understand.

    ReplyDelete
  31. LMAO! I thought California was ALREADY a haven for pot-head, hippie wannabes!

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's ridiculous that marijuana was even made illegal in the first place. I am a non smoker and I completely agree with the benefits of making marijuana legal. It is the SAFEST drug out there. People say it will make children try other drugs because they'll think it's no big deal, what about all the kids that drink alcohol? That's not illegal.
The reason pot was made illegal over alcohol was because the drunks got pissed when they made it legal and started killing people. The potheads said they're going to smoke it anyway, why fight?

    ReplyDelete
  33. "All the stupid drug users:

you are welcome to kill yourself and the world will be a better place. Just do it!"

they must be talking about people that do drugs. not people who smoke herb.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ummm, if I wanted to kill myself, I wouldn't use pot, dumb@$$. Not one person has ever died from pot. Alcohol would be far more effective.

    ReplyDelete
  35. people with different illnesses need to make a stand and show the rest of the world that its way better then pills or any other drugs also its great for making clothing and lasts longer then cotton as well as bio fuel read and inform yourselfs we all need to be more compationate also it will stop all cannabis imports from other countries

  36. To hell with your BS poll you quote like the BS cable news , pathetic .
The FEDS won't do and don't have the man power to do anything, Every raid the DEA conducts is done with the man power or state and local law... well with prop 19 all that power is now off limits.
The FED has no power , Stand up and give the fed a 2 finger salute when it passes

    ReplyDelete
  37. These people must be dumb shits! They are going to make billions if they would pass it! Alcohol is worse than weed! You don't have to be high to know that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. also stop drug wars and street sells please you all lets change the usa state by state

    ReplyDelete
  39. Passing prop 19 would be the start of the civil decline in California. If you have to smoke a joint and get high to enjoy life, then you need to pass on. Get a life! Enjoy what really matters, life its self! MJ will do ten time more harm then good! It should be banned and stiffer laws in place! If you wants to smoke it,then move to Mexico!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. stop creating criminals over
    personal and private conduct.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Wether it passes or not people going to keep smoking just like me so the gov should stop pretending it's not happening cuz it is this is just a chains for Cali to stop the recession make some money and just maybe every thing will go back to normal and many even better ...... Yes on prop 19

    ReplyDelete
  42. This prop is a nightmare. There is no regulations - there is no plan. It leaves everything up to the local law enforcement and cities to decide how to regulate it. This will be a nightmare for citizens who do not know the idividual regulations for each city. It will not lower crime. There is no road side test for people driving under the influence - so more tax dollars will be spent for law enforcement having to arrest and detain all people suspected of driving under the influence until they get the results of the blodd test. This is a logistical nightmare. It is the WRONG kind of business to attract to California. And there is no way to desiginate a driver since anyone in the room will get high just by being around the smoke. And NO the majority of Californias do not get high. VOTE NO to this horribly written unstructured prop.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Someone please explain to me how legalizing pot could be bad. The only thing I can think of is driving. Who really wants to drive anywhere when they're high?

    ReplyDelete
  44. there are more benifits for legalizing.like bringing down the lumber companys.the ones who made pot ilegal to begin with

    ReplyDelete
  45. Tommy Chong for Senate!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Prop 19 will destroy the marijuana industry and be taken over by big corp. such as Philip Morris ( who already has green houses in northern california) If you vote yes you are taken the business out of the people's hands and into big brother's !!!! NO ON 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    ReplyDelete

  50. weed makes black people crazy and rape white girls

    ReplyDelete
  51. OH NOES THE REEFER MADNESS!!!! EVERYONE RUN!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I dnt understand some of you people. They would rather us buy weed from other countries, which in turn in making some scumbags rich. Either than taxing it, and getting it from our own country. If we legalized it we would be taking billions from druglords. Some of you people really do need to wakeup. WE ARE GONNA SMOKE IT NO MATTER WHAT!!! So let's make our country some money and not those piece of craps in other counties

    ReplyDelete
  53. No on 19! It's a defeatists mentality that basically says we'll never win this war against pot so just let them do what they want. Spare the rod spoil the child. As far as revenue is concerned when did we decide to turn to drug dealers to bail us out of a mess that irresponsible politicians created?

    ReplyDelete
  54. i saw it on tv it MUST be true.. i say no drugs and GO TO CHURCH. praise the WHITE jesus

    ReplyDelete
  55. Witnessed some white girls getting high, and begging for black guys attention!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Proposition 19 needs to pass. I really hope that the residence of California are taking this seriously and getting out there to vote. This topic has gone on for an excessive amount of time, and for good reason. Prohibition didn't work in the past and it dosen't work now. There are hundreds of reasons that this is a necessity, the only question now is will Cali. take the smart road and vote yes on 19?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think high people can have enough self control of themselves to know that they are to high to drive so they would need to wait. The same cant be said with a drunk person.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It is a drug and it should be illegal like all other drugs. The users and the dealers need to be executed to end the problem!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Nothing is wrong with natural grown herb and there is a lot more of a cash crop in it besides the high. Other countries are actually making energy effective homes from the hemp and parts for cars!!! Major industries all over the world cultivate the hemp and USA is the major importer for these countries. Our organic foods by Nature's Path are an example. It is a renewable source because we can grow it like a crop, besides which it is a healing herb. Focusing only on the fact that people "get high" is totally beside the fact that we could "go green" literally with all aspects of this plant and renew our economy. The fact that people get high is the only thing keeping it from passing. Alcohol is man made, Marijuana can cure cancer, that is one main reason they don't want it legal. As far as tobacco goes, it was perfectly safe back in the day, before they started adding chemicals to it. Chemicals and legal drugs are killing us> NOONE Overdoses on Weed!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Some people don't smoke just to get high... and WE don't need it to enjoy life. I smoke pot. Big deal. It takes away anxiety and helps with my insomnia. I would much rather take a hit or 2 of weed then take some pills that completely mess me up and make me feel drunk. Pot is a damn herb and I have never heard of it hurting anyone. Pass the prop. Like the others have said... we're gonna smoke it either way.

    ReplyDelete
  61. you are fuckin retarded!!!! We are not drug lords you stupid fuc , dont believe everything you hear on tv. we make it from harvest to harvest and work our ass off no on prop 19 !!!! NO goverment take over of our weed save california!!!!

  63. All the assholes that use it are on welfare or claimed to be disabled some way...by fraud. I am tired of paying for them. They are a waste of human life.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hippies and Liberals always try to keep moving the line forward. SF tried to legalize prostituion earlier this year. Legaling drugs, gambling and hookers in order to balance the state budget is a terrible idea.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Fuck NO Fuck nO on 19 !!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yeah just what we need to legalize grass and that way our educational test scores will be just that much higher! The only organization that benefits from legalizing this gateway drug are all the fast food restaurants.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Do not Legalize it. Already, they have passed that it is only an infraction if you are over 21 years old and have under an ounce. That is all the recreational users really need, right? Most recreational users don't care about growing. Leave it how it is so the medicinal growers are not punished.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Make the fucking alcohol illegal too, moron! All the drunks are a waste too. Cigarettes, coffee.....etc. Who cares? Get a life and straighten up you low life looters. Start working and produce something and we'll see how much time you have for using any of that shit.

    ReplyDelete
  72. "The only organization that benefits from legalizing this gateway drug are all the fast food restaurants."
Gateway drug? I smoked pot for 9 years and never any others.

    ReplyDelete
  73. how will this raise money? It is still illegal Federally and therefore no federal tax stamp will be issued and anyone selling it will be in violation of federal tax law.

    ReplyDelete
  74. yeah america slide's into socialism, mabe if were all high we wont notice?? NO on 19

    ReplyDelete
  75. Cannibis was made illegal because of American hemp, american hemp was a threat to the logging industry and many other industries and those in the logging industry were also in the News paper industry which became scared over the popularity of Hemp paper, god forbid we can harvest a crop over and over and over and over again, just to make papaer and not have to destroy the forest... If not legalize Cannabis Sative and Indica at least Legalize ameican hemp cultivation and manufacturing... that way we can stop buying so much crap from communist china and other countries that make us cheap goods from slave labor...

How can you be free when the water you drink is owned by some company!! Wake up america and TAKE BACK the freedom so many died to give you... LEGALIZE FREEDOM.

    ReplyDelete
  76. you're the moron, smoke a joint and re-motherfuckin-lax. Yes on prop 19

    ReplyDelete
  77. EVERY PERSON I HAVE COME IN COUNTER WITH SMOKED WEED AT LEAST ONCE AND EVERYONE HAS SAID DRINKING IS MORE HARMFUL THAN SMOKING.
WE SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY AND SPEND HUNDREDS EVERY MONTHS AND YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON TAX.
DRUG DEALERS ARE LAUGHING AT YOU AND ME AND I CANT STAND IT.
REGULATE AND TAX AND GET US OUT OF RECESSION.

    ReplyDelete
  78. If we don't buy it from our government, were gna buy if from some mexican piece of shit. I dnt get y people don't wanna make this country billions. Tax the fix out if it!!!! Most of you people don't realize how many people actually smoke pot. It's Alot more than you think

    ReplyDelete
  79. medical marijuana is already legal. i don't see the need to legalize marijuana for anyone else. besides, it's basically legal right now. most people smoke comfortably in their own home without fear of the police breaking down their doors. it's really sad that this is the most talked about thing during an election which has so many real issues. i am pro-legalization. but now's not the time. and this proposition is not going to make any money for california. it allows for people to grow too much on their own. who's going to pay taxes on something that can be grown so easily? obama supported prop 215 which is the only reason the feds stopped coming into california and stealing from the dispensaries. prop 19 will open another door for them. the dispensaries will lose business and close. all pot in CA will be illegal in the eyes of the federal government. it's sad what so many people are willing to jeopardize just so they can het high "legally".

    ReplyDelete
  80. Working class smoking pot? I would fire their asses if I were their employer. They cannot be as productive as sober workers!

    ReplyDelete
  81. "LEGALIZE FREEDOM", you are a douche.I Hate hippies

    ReplyDelete
  82. People need to understand that the there aren't that many people who refrain from smoking cannabis simply because it's illegal. Those who smoke now will smoke tomorrow and those who don't will try it a few times and then get over it. It's not going to harm anyone so please stop getting so scared. Take a breath and know that you'll be ok no matter what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  83. its a multibillion dollar industry truth is to those who are misguided by false moral beliefs is, do you really think the gov't can stop the distribution of an herbal earth grown plant when it couldnt stop the distribution of alcohol during prohibition, the state and federal gov't waste more money on a futile attempt to exterminate the drug than it does on your childrens education. I guess the real moral question is are you gonna allow your gov't to make money off of it and regulate it with strict age limit requirements and FDA testing, increase budgets and rectify these economic issues everyone complains so much about or are you gonna let an underground criminal organization sell your 13, 14,... year old make a profit not care what is in the plant and maybe sell them a little bit more than your precious state allows and watch them go to jail for something you could've voted to eliminate than take time off of your precious schedule to educate them which then maybe you would read a book and find out that marijuana is a pschoactive drug that induces a euphoric feelings and has little to no health issues also it was used in ancient times as guess what medicine also a great way to relieve stress and an excelent pain medication which to be honest might be helpful considering the fact that people are more likely to transition from pain medication to other drugs such as: crack heroine methamphetamine etc.. and to all the almighty pseudo idealist moral geniuses out there those are the medication that you will overdose on cause they are narcotics, btw the only reason why your 10y/o child can get marijuana easier than alcohol is because its regulated by the gov't now lets think about this one hmmm oh yea it has an age limit do you see alcohol bootleggers out there selling to your kid nooooo.

    ReplyDelete
  84. half of the shitheads are already grownig their own marijuana, so the government will not benefit from it at all. Looters can't loot from other looters.

    ReplyDelete
  85. there are some truly ignorant people in this world. Its a plant, from the earth that brings people enjoyment, relief, and stops pain without the warning label that any over the counter headache medicine has on the bottle. alcohol is the true evil when compared to pot. open your eyes, its the 2010s, not 1950.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Pass 19 and Get ready for the food shortage

    No on 19!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Have any of you people saying no ever heard of Amsterdam...?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Legalize it- about time-tax it and cut other taxes-as long as it can be legal. I need it and can't get it, they want me to keep taking narcotics for my pain. What kind of reasoning is that??? and recreational? Yes, better than alcohol in MANY, MANY Studies. and I cannot even say my name......BAD,BAD,BAD!!!

    ReplyDelete
  92. i hope it passes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. LEGALIZEE ADMIT ITTT ! NO ONEE WILL SAY NOO !

    ReplyDelete
  94. Don't Knock it till you tried it. Weed is much better for your body than all the pain killers out there right now and it is non addictive!!!! Imagaine that,, your tv don't tell you that a lot of PRODUCTIVE members of society smoke it to relieve nerves, it cures stroke victims, asthma, cancer, glucoma and a long list of other ailments. It is a natural alternative to unnatural man made chemicals that harm our bodies. Alcohol is a poison, Marijuana is a healing agent. The only reason the government doesn't want it legal is for the TRILLIONS of dollars the medical field will lose...

    ReplyDelete
  95. FROM K.Y.~~~~~~THINK ABOUT IT HOW MUCH ENERGY IT TAKES TO MAKE 1 CASE OF BEER ALL THE STUFF IT TAKES CANS, BOTTLES, CAPS, BOXES, THEN ALL THAT GOES INTO BREWING IT AND TRANSPORTING IT AND YOU GET A$$HOLES THAT WANNA FIGHT D.U.I'S, ACCIDENTS, DEATHS< ECT. .... NOW WITH POT IT TAKES A SEED, WATER, SUN, CARE, AND LOVE!! AND WHAT DO YOU GET PEACE, HAPPINESS, PAIN RELIEF, NO FIGHTING, NO ALCOHOL POISONING DEATHS OR HANGOVERS AND OXYGEN FROM THE PLANT GROWING ALONE HELPS THE ENVIORMENT ...IT GIVES NEW MEANING TO THE PHRASE "GOING GREEN" IN A GOOD WAY AT THAT....LEGALIZE IT ALREADY IT'S WAY WAY OVER DUE !!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. legalize it nationwide and use the money to fund the worldwide war on terror bringing in a bright new day of global stability and relative world peace. Not to mention you could ship large amounts of pot into war regions and make everyone chill out.

    ReplyDelete
  97. If it's just a plant, then why don't you all eat or smoke some of the shit that will poison your ass, so you can get the hell out of the way of the productive, hard working, sober, family people.

  98. As a flaming republican, my opinion is more informed than all of yours, and let me be the first to say

    ReplyDelete
  99. Some of us don't like breaking the law. Some of us know that if we smoke mj we might be kept from having a job. Some of us don't like the company of dealers but wouldn't mind enjoying a puff before a good meal or sunset. Or after one of those days that leave us up all night worrying and worrying. I can't be on any cannabis list (I don't believe in the privacy protections and some of the agencies I work with seek to serve individuals on those lists so bye bye job).

Anyways--Let's look at precedents esp the Netherlands & Amsterdam. I can't say they're topping the news with drug violence, raids, etc etc.

    ReplyDelete
  100. YES TO PROP 19!!! ALL YOU THAT SAY NO ARE RETARDED XD

  104. weed doesnt kill u. Alcahol does. Cigarettes do also.. its plain and simple. Once this passes, it will only be a matter of time before the other states jump on the bandwagon. People have always and will continue to smoke weed, so why not control it, and make some money?

    ReplyDelete
  105. to flaming republicrapper:

your opinion is what ... ? Guess you got censored by the left wing liberal comment czars!!! In your face. Marijuana libations forever!!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Simply smoking it should not be illegal. The ugly truth is that as long as it is illegal, the state can arrest you, impound your car, take your land and sell it, destroy your life and leave you with a criminal record for rest of your life -- for something the last 3 presidents have admitted doing and probably three quarters of the country has tried, or are doing.

Why are we allowing the government to do this?

    ReplyDelete
  107. stop posting and read my comments!!!

    ReplyDelete
  108. ok let me simplify this it is pretty hard to grow weed let me rephrase that

  119. As a conservative, Hard working, individuale that hates hippies, hates freeloaders, and hate socialism, communism, tryanny and taxes, I love Cannabis, even though i rarely smoke... Make it legal, keep it criminial I dont care... I just like to smell it... But your never gona stop it, all the people who are afraid of it, are just ignorant because they watched reefer maddness propaganda. If you wanna call it a gateway drug your an idiot, how many kids smoke pot before they smoked a ciggarete or drank a beer? Pot is number 3 on the list as far as gateway goes, but the first two are legal...

And if your afraid of everyone being high and allowing socialism to move in your and idiot because we have been moving towards socialism for long before any of us have been alive, starting with the federal reserve, the federal income tax, the Irs, and social security...

I fear banking institutions, and government agencies before I fear a plant..

Also If you think stoned people will let the government move towards socialism, are you not concered with the soft kill projects that have been going on since 1997 where the spray chemicals into the atomosphere over populated cities all over the world? I have documented pictures of hundreds of these chemtrails.

The elite and power brokers of the world are going to do what they want to do to use no matter what..

One of the Rothschild boys once said, "give me controld over a nations currencey and I care not who makes its laws" Whether pot is legal or not, fuck them!

Thomas Jefferson once said, "If a law is unjust, you are not only right to disobey it, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO DO SO."

And remember people of California, There are 3 important Votes everyone is obligated to particitpate in.

    General Elections
    Congress
And Jury Duty, do not get out of Jury duty, attend it, because someone's fate, just like you may depend on your vote wether or not they are guilty or innocent. Defend your family, your friends, and your neighbors, and even total strangers because, if you do not defend them, then nobody will be there to defend you when they come for you.

  123. THE END ALL:
YES on 19 because the federal government can take your home for drug possession so they just target medicinal card holders and such. If its legal they will have so much opposition and not much legal footing to stand on that marijuana prohibition will come to an end.
Cities and law enforcement won't do anything about enforcing it dumb *sses. They use it too. Police officers go through so much stress on the job that their doctors prescribe it to them!! If they wanted to test you on the street they would just do a field sobriety test and mouth swab. You could ask for a blood test and they might just give up if they feel youre good to drive and they become inundated with suspects. Weed is only bad in the opinion of hypocondriacs

It will be regulated and ppl will still be punished and go to jail for it! if you have more than an ounce on you, see ya in jail! and not everyone will be able to sell it you have to get a cal state issued lisence, which how will we obtain this? not everyone will be able to. its ridiculous.

BUT I VOTED NO!!!!! Because it shouldnt be about the money for our state budget, its about the patients that need it. This bill is poorly written and when the next one comes out in 2012 actually legalizing marijuana, not just getting money to help pay for the war on drugs I will pass it. Until then keep it for the people. Dont give up your rights to the government over recreational use. Thank you

The bottom line is: Alcohol alone causes more deaths every year than marijuana. SO WHY IS ALCOHOL LEGAL AND POT ISN'T? If it doesn't pass it's because of either dumb conservatives who actually believe marijuana is a gateway drug, or is the illegal POT dealers/users making a ton of money off the ILLEGAL sale/production of it. LETS take the money out of the hands of these criminals AND VOTE YES ON PROP 19 PEOPLE

    ReplyDelete
  167. That's right. Pass it. Of course it won't cause any problems. It's like alcohol and alcohol doesn't cause any social problems at all, right? It won't cause lung cancer and heart problems. The right wing American Medical Assoc. (sorry, liberal AMA)doesn't know what it is talking about when these conservative (???) doctors say that they don't recommend it for medical purposes because of potential health effects. You only breath the burning chemicals and THC in the smoke into your lungs. Oh, and it won't make you unmotivated and not want to take care of your responsibilities. Ask anyone who lights up regularly; they are super motivated! And driving, heck, its not like alcohol. It doesn't slow down your ability to react. Hell, let's say that it mellows us out and makes it easier to drive. The tax benefits will surely outweigh the costs to society. Like alcohol, meth, opiates, coke, etc. have never hurt our society, right? And that study this year out of UCLA about marijuana addiction being the #1 reason currently why people in Ca go into rehab was probably written by all those conservative (???) professors in Ca, right? Obviously the THC in the bud is not addicting. And currently the so called dispensaries, which are illegal (don't believe me, look it up for yourself in the Ca Health and Safety Code. Prop 215 never authorized retail sales), never sell marijuana in candy and other food products (go into one and see for yourself). And no, it won't send the message to some young people that it is okay to smoke marijuana because everyone already does it and some jackasses in our society thought that being stoned was a good thing. Don't believe my sarcasm, look these things up for yourself. If you want to get high, go ahead. But don't tell me that it will be a good thing for society...

Just remember California, you make your bed then you will have to sleep in it.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Let's be honest, no one is going to jail right now for having less than an once of marijuana. 11357(b) of the Health and Safety Code in Ca makes it a citation offense with a $50 fine. Now if you are transporting for sales, cultivating for sales (large amounts), etc., then yes, you get caught-you go to jail.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I do believe in the next 10 years there will be close to if not more then 30 states with medicinal marijuana available. California, hopefully will pass it for recreational use. Michigan I would say is next on the list for recreational use as well. Living in Florida with the harshest laws on Marijuana is really embarrassing. You can loose a year of your life for having a little over a gram...Again we all know the reasons why it should be LEGALIZED. Don't make me write a 10 page paper on here about it. Those that oppose legal weed, I respect you and your decision as long as it's a legitimate and factual argument.

The only reasonably strong argument by those against legal marijuana is the "gateway drug" argument. This argument is impossible to prove. It's also impossible to disprove. However, Netherlands have legalized marijuana, and doing so the use of it decreased dramatically. I can see the same trend in the USA. Literally everyone you know whether they're a goody good shoes or not has tried pot. 70% are ashamed and will never admit it. Your parents probably smoked pot. If they say they deny it, they're lying. Pot is out there way more then any of us could imagine.

  171. Legalize it already. I don't care if you're conservative or liberal or whatever. This isn't about ideology. This is simply about legalizing a plant that nobody has ever died of and is less addictive than alcohol. I think the 100 dollar fine is a compromise. People cans till lose financial aide status and get a blemish on their criminal record. There's plenty of politicians and successful people who have done it, and if they got caught, they wouldn't be where they're at now. If people are allowed to grow their own, that will, no doubt, take money away from cartels. Its like what the 21st amendment did to end violent, mafia rackets.
