Sarah Palin North Korea Gaffe A Simple Misstatement, Not Consipracy

Sarah Palin's North Korea Gaffe was an innocent slip of the tongue, although the 'lame stream media' as the former Governor calls it has made it a bigger deal than it really is.  Sarah Palin's North Korea gaffe is being used by the left to illustrate some form of "incompetence", which with all due respect does not exist.

One reason I love Palin is that she doesn't stand idly by and allow people to step all over her.  She took to her social networking sites to speak out about the gaffe, pointing out 10 gaffes from our President.

She's not trying to belittle him, or say that he's incompetent - only that all politicians regardless of party are guilty of such slips of the tongue.

So what was Sarah Palin's gaffe? During a brief radio interview with Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin inadvertently called North Korea our allies. However, if you listen to the ENTIRE interview, you will see that she had it correct all along.

In short, her slip was taken out of context.  The former Alaskan Governor KNOWS that North Korea is NOT our allies.

You can read Sarah Palin's hilarious Thanksgiving address to her readers, here.

In case you didn't hear the ENTIRE Sarah Palin North Korea gaffe, you can view it below.  It was a slip of the tongue.

  2. ok soooooo every politician does it but how about the Reagan speech at a California university where she said all you guys should be proud of going to a California college where Reagan also went...that this was Reagan country and that he is a very big idol for her...IDOL? so much of an idol that you didn't even know that Reagan graduated from an Eureka, Illinois college(not Eureka, CA) and then moved to California 6 years after graduating to pursue his acting career...GREAT IDOL for ya Sarah that you know so much about!!!

  4. This was no gaffe by Sarah Palin because this proves that she has no understanding of foreign policies issue and would be very dangerous as the President of the United States. She would probably start wars with our allies and brush it off as being someone else fault and not hers. It would be like the lies we heard in the past that there weapons of mass destruction this is why we needed to start a war in Iraqi and when none were actual found President Bush did not have the sense to say end the war we were wrong. We could see this sort of crazy behavior coming from Sarah Palin always blaming others for her mistakes and pretending that she did nothing wrong. Palin is not only clueless and very dangerous with this recent gaffe or her past silly comments proves this point that she should nerve be elected as the president of the United States. This is why Mrs. Bush was correct in saying that Sarah Palin needs to go back to Alaska, because she is not ready for prime time and definitely not capable for running this country. On by the way, it appears daily that Sarah Palin has made it her mission to belittle President Obama and Mrs. Obama ever chance that she can get to keep the media focusing on her. She never has any really solutions or plans that she can articulate on just how she would solve some of the many issues that are facing so many American lives today but always has lots of criticism and confusing talking points.

  5. Nah...she wasn't trying to "belittle" Obama. She wouldn't do that. Not sweet little Sarah! She wasn't trying to belittle him during the election when she insinuated he was a terrorist and she's not belittling Mrs. Obama when she disses her campaign on child obesity.
All Sarah Palin does is belittle others and whine when anyone else says something about her.

  7. Looking closely at her exact words after Beck corrected the alleged slip of the tongue, you can see very clearly she said "And we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes."

She never corrected herself, she didn't know there was anything to correct. I believe she thought Beck was asking a follow on question about South Korea, not correcting her on her previous response.

As it stands, she's on record saying we must support North Korea AND South Korea out of "prudence". Whatever that means.

  8. This was not a slip of the tongue because when the interviewer corrected her, she still stuck with her notion of an alliance with North Korea, she has little understanding of what's going on outside of our country, I doubt that, despite the situation, she doesn't know WHY there is a North and South Korea, Sarah Palin is an idiot, no ifs ands or buts about it.

  9. And pray don't just label us "Librals" and stop reading, I am, in fact, quite conservative and even I admit she isn't that bright, lets start picking intelligent people to represent our party.

  10. This is a joke right? This was written by a five-year old. Palin response to her mistake was to insult others... big surprise. That makes you PROUD? I can understand that the gaffe was a mistake, but that doesn't make it right to throw the political equivilent of monkey feces. Oh, and real politicians don't spend all day on twitter- sorry, former governor.

  12. Thats the problem with some people. They think they have to defend everyone in their party if they're republican. Sarah Palin is entirely ignorant, a quitter, a hateful hypocritc, and a war-mongerer - just because you like her view of marriage doesn't mean you defend all of that stuff. Do your own party a favor- dumb the old hag.

  13. Melinda Henneberger is obviously a shameless apologist for Sarah Palin, who has no regard for facts. If, God forbid, Sarah Palin were the U.S. leader, she would be an even bigger joke than George Bush, and the cou7ntry would be in dire peril.

  14. progressive will jump all over this anyway because they've got nothing else; hypocritically calling her hateful and ignorant. It's just getting sad to watch. Go cash your $30 check from media-matters & get a latte or something...

  15. If you are going to hold everyone to their gaffs, Obama is Muslim, because in one television interview he said, "My muslim faith" and the interviewer corrected him, saying, "you mean your Christian faith." You get a gaff or muslim president, you can't have both.

  16. Speaking of "gaffes". It's "gaffe" with an "e". Now we'll have to do a national debate about "typos".

  17. Hey moron that posted at 5:04 did you not comprehend my post? I said "Nevermind the north/south polarity misstep...". Since you have a hard time understanding a half assed clever sentence a 3rd grader would absorb, let me break it down for you in such a way that even a Palin fan would understand. I dont give a fuck about the verbal miscue and the mistake of saying North when she meant to say South. I'm not focused on the fluff, I'm interested in the nature of the content. What I'm learning from the media coverage of this epic-fail interview Palin had with Lord Beck is that Palin, without having any experience or knowledge on the subject would go on as if she were an expert. That is what grinds my gears, not some stupid fucking mental error that I'm not surprised she made. Palin fan, you clearly missed the point of my post, I'm not holding anyone to any gaffes, why the fuck would I be so convicted about a verbal mistake!?

    ReplyDelete
  18. half-assed is right... why so hateful partime? why would you be so convicted?... who knows, all the other playgrounders are hysterical about it. Yet, you're obviously all about the important implications, not the fluff. I'm certain you feel the same about Obama's pretenses (Constitutional lawyer, Columbia alumnus, Christian, American, etc...)

  19. You know what's sad about the IT age? Idiots can become political pundits...

" Sarah Palin's North Korea gaffe is being used by the left to illustrate some form of "incompetence", which with all due respect does not exist."

... i listened to it a few times...what exactly did she answer ? The questions was... As the potential candidate for the 2012 Election, how would you handle this situation? ... she said a bunch of fluff that a high school student would say after being caught asleep in class (stating the obvious... she does know we have troops in ROK right?), point fingers at the current administration for not doing the 'right' thing... then proceed to say to tell China to do more... ?!?!? Does she not watch her own news aka Fox what does she think the current admin is doing?

...now blogger, look up the word competence then tell me if Mrs. Palin's solution, her answer, to Mr. Beck's question, can be defined as a competent one?

  20. Owner of this blog, you're a fucking idiot. This "innocent gaffe" not only further illustrates how fucking simple minded and inexperienced Palin is but also how fucking stupid and senseless her bandwagon idiot supporters can be. Nevermind the north/south polarity misstep, what about Palin's education or political background leads you to believe she has the expertise to advise our government on Korean policy!? Here she is ignorantly spooging out verbal diarrhea as if she were a god damn expert and do you really think she is familiar enough with our current Korean policy and relationship history with North and South to start forming logic and solutions!!?? (don't answer that question out loud to yourself, I can't hear you and it's what we call a "rhetorical question"). I already know what your thinking and no, I'm no expert either. Nor am I on national TV ignorantly expressing my views on the Korea situation. You are the epitome of the average, under educated, dumb ass American who can be absolutely captivated by an average, under educated, dumb ass American. i.e, Palin.

  21. North? South? Who cares! Just show us the naked pics!

    ReplyDelete
  22. the fear of Palin is palpable here. The point is obviously to preemptively contend that she's not a good presidential candidate (otherwise, who cares?) But, that can only be determined relative to her competition... so, is Palin better or worse than Obama (or will it be Hillary?) Hillary beats them both in foreign policy, but the job is bigger than that, and less specific (the president has teams of experts for every bilateral relationship we have, and would be a fool to supplant their analysis for his, anyway.) Palin endorses an approach to governance (i.e. less of it) that will be good for America... it's that simple. I don't care if she even understands it, as long as she helps to make it happen. Anybody with that one fundamental awareness of what America was originally about would be better than the poser who captivated the last wave of "average, under educated, dumb ass Americans."

  23. Palin is the verbal equivelent of a random number generator.

Her off-the-cuff remarks are no less silly then when she spoke to Couric about the stimulous. A bunch of bumper-sticker slogans, apparently randomly thrust together.

Not a single original thought. Not a single plan. She is thin-skinned, petty and vindictive.

Can you imagine if any Democrat complained so much via twitter? Can you imagine the bile coming from the right? LOL

She is a professional victim. A side-show. A political gadfly, and a national embarrasement.

  25. All the same arguments were levied against Obama 2-years ago and nobody wanted to listen... now suddenly the left-half of the electorate is all concerned about experience and depth of expertise. You're mindless idealogues. Pretending otherwise just makes you insincere, mindless idealogues. And if you can't see that; stupid, insincere, mindless idealogues. Don't feel bad, if you look at a bell-curve you'll see that at least half the population is, by definition, of below-average intelligence (what did Obama get, about 52%?)... yep

  26. Got it thanks. Now please stop giving this woman attention and try to concentrate on more important issues like N Korea.

    Thanks - Jimbo

  27. Yeah, a SIMPLE mistake made by a SIMPLETON.
This isn't an isolated incident, it's open mouth, insert foot OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
She was PRETENDING to know stuff she didn't, IT WAS WRITTEN FOIR HER BY SOMEONE ELSE... so yes, it was a simple mistaKE, BUT $ARAH IS ONE huge SIMPLE MISTAKE.

  28. If only the Bushes would let winners be winners she would have it made. Are they on the left side or the right? Well she thinks they are on the left because they will not let her win.

Was it the dancing with the starts she was talking bout?

  29. After reading the whole thing over a couple times over as to assure nothing is out of context, with that in mind I can safely say Palin had no idea what she was asked about, meaning so is either completely ignorant of the world that exists beyond her immediate self and concerns or more horrifically speaking beyond her potential profits.

  30. Palin is more of a retarded than her son! Just admit she's just a pretty frace with a whore of daughter.

  33. The problem isn't that Palin made a mistake or had a slip of the tongue, it's that it's so believable that she would make that mistake. She has no credibility or experience in foreign policy, and even disregarding her slip in calling North Korea our ally, she doesn't sound very informed on the topic. She spouts a bunch of empty nonsense that could be applied to nearly any conflict.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Whiny liberals are all the same. Cookie cutter liberals. Obama is great,Palin stupid. Obama 'disses' our allies Israel, France, Germany, England, et al and is somehow a foreign policy success and Palin has no foreign policy experience. Obama tries to be buddies w/ third world dictators and let's them have nuclear weapons and somehow Obama is a foreign policy genius and Palin just a dumb redneck. Obama can't say anything intelligent that isn't on a teleprompter and Palin's the idiot.
