Glenn Beck: Barbara Bush 'Oatmeal Box Lady'

Glenn Beck called Barbara Bush the "oatmeal box lady" in an unprecedented verbal assault against the former first lady and mother of our last president. Given that Beck is a conservative commentator and analyst and Barbara Bush is a republican it's awfully hard to believe.

What started the verbal tongue lashing? Well, Barbara Bush in an interview with Larry King said when asked about Sarah Palin that Palin is "Beautiful" but she hopes she "stays in Alaska." It's no secret that Palin may be testing out the waters for a 2012 run at the presidency, however she has yet to formally announce a candidacy.

Beck claims it's improper to comment on someone's looks, even when it's a compliment. Furthermore, he went on to say that Larry King makes "Barbara Bush look like she's 30", and went on to call Barbara Bush the "oatmeal box lady."

While Beck does make a lot of good points, it's this type of tirade - where he cuts down complimenting ones looks and turns around and chastises someone's looks - make him look like the nut so many people claim he is. He's got a lot of good ideas, a lot of good points - but they are clouded by his melodramatic commentary.

Beck then went on a tirade about how Bush 41 was a "progressive" - although the "progressives" detested his one term in office.

Perhaps anyone Beck doesn't particularly agree with is a progressive?

I still can't believe that Glenn Beck called Barbara Bush the "oatmeal box lady", though!

Glenn Beck, George Soros Controversy Continues

Glenn Beck, George Soros controversy continues. Glenn Beck is a polarizing figure, to say the least. Although many of Glenn Beck's predictions have come true over the years, and although I think that he is a very well meaning individual, perhaps some lines have been crossed in the whole George Soros scandal.

George Soros is a billionaire "philanthropist", who, has arguably used his fortune to promote an agenda. According to Glenn Beck, Soros is responsible for a multitude of steps which, have led to many worldwide economic catastrophes.

To an extent, Soros is also somewhat responsible for Beck's personal economic catastrophe, with his MediaMatters.org site watching Beck like a hawk, and various organizations he's associated with reaching out to Beck's advertisers - and many of them have pulled out from backing the pundit.

Perhaps Beck took it too far, when he claimed that George Soros, a Jewish man, could have taken part in the Nazi occupation of his native Hungary - and you can read more about that here.

Do you think that George Soros is a puppet master, or do you think that Glenn Beck is taking things too far? Weigh in below.

Glenn Beck: Is George Soros A "Puppet Master"

Glenn Beck, is George Soros a "Puppet Master?" Glenn Beck is featured on Fox News, and his show is a very popular show both with those who love him and those who don't particularly like him.  For the next couple of days, Glenn Beck will discuss the ideologies of George Soros.

Name sound familiar? Most recently, outside of the Glenn Beck show, Soros was criticized as the reason why Juan Williams lost his job at NPR.  Soros recently made sizable donations to NPR, and many thought that Soros was behind the decision to fire the NPR figure who oftentimes appeared on Fox News.

Fox News hired Williams.

"The Man Who Broke the Bank of England" and "economic war criminal", and has called himself the "conscious of the world", and also sees himself as a "kind of god."

Glenn Beck is shedding light on "the game" that Soros plays with the world.

What do you think of Glenn Beck's puppet master? We will post videos of the broadcast when they become available.

Glenn Beck: MoveOn.org, George Soros, & The Puppet Master

Glenn Beck: MoveOn.org, George Soros, & The Puppet Master. Glenn Beck is a highly controversial figure in news, and his show and radio show are typically right-winged in nature. After the mid-term election, Glenn Beck is moving on to talk about the "Puppet Master"

George Soros is a liberal who has attacked Glenn Beck via the Tides Foundation and more. One organization he's involved with, Media Matters, scrutinizes Glenn Beck.

In addition, George Soros is believed to be behind the firing of Juan Williams, who Fox News picked up as a news contributor.

According to Beck, the stage is George Soros' media outlets. The Liberal billionaire is the puppet master behind the stage pulling the strings...or is he? It all depends on what Glenn Beck reveals to us.

What are your thoughts? Is George Soros the puppet master? Is Glenn Beck Crazy?

Rally To Restore Sanity Attendance Vs Glenn Beck Rally Attendance

Rally To Restore Sanity Attendance Vs Glenn Beck Rally Attendance The Rally to Restore Sanity is getting underway and currently there is already the pre-show going on. The Rally to restore Sanity and March to Keep Fear Alive are currently being broadcast on Comedy Central for all those who can't make it to DC but still want to keep current with the events.

The Rally to Restore Sanity attendance is expected to be bigger than the Glenn Beck rally attendance, but there aren't official numbers for the Beck Rally and it was very controversial.

To figure out which event had more people in attendance, we will have to rely on aerial photos, and once they are made available we will post them.

Which rally do you think will have more in attendance? The Glenn Beck rally or the Rally to Restore Sanity?

Glenn Beck Advertisers Warned By Tides Foundation CEO

Glenn Beck's advertisers warned by Tides Foundation CEO. Some of Glenn Beck's advertisers were contacted by the CEO of the Tides Foundation after he was the target of assassins who were inspired by Glenn Beck's rhetoric.

The message was simple: drop Beck or risk having blood on your hands.

Is this fair to Glenn Beck? He's arguably one of the more inflammatory personalities out there, but it's not like he personally put the assassins up to trying to put a hit out on the Tides CEO.

Honestly, I think Glenn would be appalled by such measures.

Media Matters and other organizations have taken measures against Beck in the past, which caused him to lose 100 or so sponsors over the years. Those who watch the Glenn Beck show know that he speaks in hyperbole often used to make a point.

So do you think that the Tides Foundation CEO's pleas to drop Beck will be heard, or do you think they will fall on deaf ears?

Glenn Beck: Atrocious Cranick House Fire in Tennessee Justified [VIDEO]

Glenn Beck: The South Fulton, Tennessee fire department was justified for not putting out Gene Cranick’s house fire. Now, Glenn Beck is speaking about a horrific scene where one man stood by firefighters and watched as fire swept his home, demolished his possessions, and killed his pets.

On his radio show, Glenn Beck pointed out that the fire department was justified because the man failed to pay a $75.00 fee. He said that if the fire department put his fire out, allowing to pay later then how would they get anyone to take the fee seriously.

There’s no human compassion involved in this. Could you imagine if an emergency room doctor refused treatment for a patient who failed to pay a $75 co-pay and subsequently died? What if Cranick’s children, wife, or other people were inside the house?

Although money is very important, there should still be regulations which make it so that the Tennessee fire situation doesn’t happen again. Glenn Beck may have a point that people can’t free ride, but human compassion should still exist

What do you think of Glenn Beck’s comments?

Glenn Beck Donald Duck Video is Hilarious

Glenn Beck Donald Duck syndrome video is hilarious. Now, I like Glenn Beck because he marches to the beat of his own drum, and doesn't back down in the face of opposition. Do I believe everything he says? Absolutely not. Do I agree with 100% of his views? Let's just say I won't be purchasing $10,000 worth of freeze dried meals any time soon.

However, in our culture exists the love of poking fun of Glenn Beck, which is what is depicted in the video below. In this 7 minute long clip we follow Donald Duck as he heads through as a typical Glenn Beck audience member.

Whether you love or hate Glenn Beck, you have to at least appreciate the humor in the video clip below. It takes a creative mind to put this one together.

What do you think of the Glenn Beck Donald Duck syndrome video? Are you a Beck fan or do you dislike him?

Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck Rallies Similar? Stewart Says Yes

Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck rallies similar? According to Jon Stewart himself, that's the case.  While there are many Stewart/Colbert rally attendants who think that the comedians are poking fun of Glenn Beck and Al Sharpton for their 8/28 rallies - in all actuality they are just borrowing an idea that seemed to inspire America.

Jon Stewart expressed this by stating" It's not meant to ridicule activism or the Tea Party movement or religious people ... What I thought would be great is if Stephen could be my Al Sharpton, he's going to do a counter-rally."

In addition, Stewart was less compassionate about claims that his rally was started in order to overshadow today's "One Nation" rally.  He says TS to that one, folks.  He adds "We're not warriors in their cause. If they're upset, they should have thought of that the past couple of years, before they lost the momentum they had gained in 2008,"

Ironically, Jon Stewart is respectful of Glenn Beck and even claims to be similar to him.  On the other hand, the Union rally which will take place today - well, he doesn't feel the similarities with them.

What do you think of Jon Stewart saying that his rally and Glenn Beck's rally are similar?

Glenn Beck vs Fox News: Is Beck Really the Face of the Network?

Glenn Beck vs Fox News: Could Glenn Beck and Fox News be at odds? That's the word that's coming out of the press. According to a new interview with New York Magazine, it's been revealed that the shock jock could be in disagreement with several Fox News staffers, who fear he is becoming the face of the network.

The Washington Post says "Several Fox News journalists have complained that Beck's antics are embarrassing Fox, that his inflammatory rhetoric makes it difficult for the network to present itself as a legitimate news outlet."

In addition, Beck likened our nation's predicament to getting over an addiction. He compared our current situation to him getting over his alcoholism.

There's no doubt that both Fox News and Glen Beck are two controversial conservative entities. Glenn Beck has a strong fan base, but also a strong base of adversaries. Could Fox News gain some respect if they rid themselves of Glenn Beck?

Jon Stewart Rally Update Obama Endorses Colbert/Stewart Rallies Video

Jon Stewart’s “Restoring Sanity” rally is getting props from Obama. The Colbert/Stewart dueling rallies are held as an “answer” to the Glenn Beck rally that was held at the end of August. Although this isn’t an official political event (it’s hosted by 2 comedy central comedians, mind you) it’s definitely making waves in the political world.

Ironically, some liberals are against the rally as it will take people who would have otherwise hit the pavement getting the word out there to head to the polls and vote liberal during the weekend prior to the mid-term elections. However, the rally is expected to draw a great crowd and many are hoping that the comedians will mix entertainment with common-sense solutions.

In remarks about the media during a discussion about the economy in Richmond today, Obama slams both right and left wing media – the right for suggesting he wasn’t born in the US and the left for saying mean and nasty things about the right. However, he says he’s “amused” with the Jon Stewart/Colbert Rallies. He pointed out that 70 per cent of Americans are just looking out for their families, no matter what their political affiliations are. Below is a video of Obama speaking about the Jon Stewart Rally.

Glenn Beck and Goldline Congressional Probe [VIDEO]

Glenn Beck's "Goldline" sponsor was interrogated by congress, after Anthony Weiner called for an investigation. Glenn Beck is accused of using fear tactics to funnel sales to the sponsor, which he didn't disclose properly. His failure to disclose Goldline was seen as unethical, and as such caused problems for Fox News.

Now, it appears as if the Congressional probe into Goldline is continuing. Considering that Gold prices are at all time highs in excess of $1,300 it comes as no surprise that people are taking an interest in precious metals. Well, there are accusations that Goldline has grossly overstated prices, essentially gouging customers.

The "victims" of Goldline's "unfair" sales tactics are often educated middle class citizens according to Weiner. These people are convinced to pay many times the market rate for Gold. Beck peddles overpriced antique coins as a means to ensure that the government doesn't confiscate investments as they did in 1933.

However, if the "victims" are "educated" then they should be able to weigh the pros and cons themselves. The hearing had no result, although Anthony Weiner is calling for Beck to stop promoting the sponsor on his site and on Fox News and elsewhere.

What are your thought's about Glenn Beck's Goldine?

Glenn Beck's "Food Insurance" Another Fear-Induced Sponsor?

Glenn Beck's food insurance program isn't really owned by him. Foodinsurance.com is just the latest of the Fox News talk show host's sponsors, and once again it appears that Beck is using fear in order to peddle sales.

Those who both love and hate Glenn Beck know of his crazy antics. You know that he's pushed gold, claiming the ultimate collapse of economies, and now his apocalyptic views appear to be inspiring even more craziness.

If you head to Foodinsurance.com, you will see that you can actually purchase freeze dried gourmet food. If emergency strikes, just add water and eat delicious meals. The food keeps its freshness for up to 25 years.

Sounds hilarious, doesn't it? While Beck may be running around in circles screaming "the sky is falling" there is a market for this stuff. Take a look at it, let us know what you think about Glenn Beck's food insurance program.

Glenn Beck: Could Restoring Sanity Rally Be as Big as Restoring Honor?

Glenn Beck's restoring honor rally was really big, and it was the talk of political circles for weeks. Now that the rally is over, and the aftermath has waned down a bit, the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert rally/march is planned for 10/30/10. The "Restoring Sanity Rally" is poised to be as big - or bigger than the Restoring Honor rally. Perhaps Stephen Colbert upped that Ante today when he testified before congress.

Now, if Glenn Beck testified before Congress it would likely be a melodramatic event laden with his signature conspiracy theories and trademark chalkboard. People would laugh, but not because Beck is a comedian, but because his theories are so odd.

However, Colbert evoked roaring laughter from viewers of CSPAN3 as he testified over illegal immigration and migrant workers at Congress. You can see a video of Stephen Colbert here.

With Colbert's recent visit to Capital Hill, and the constant jabbering about the dual rallies there's a distinct possibility that the rally could be even bigger than Beck's.

Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity Draws Satellite Rallies Around America

Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and Steve Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive are drawing satellite rallies around the country. Approximately 140,000 people have confirmed they will be at the Ocotober 30th rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, and there are many more who would love to go, but can't.

The rally and march is a parody of Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor rally, which was actually a "non-political" fundraiser for a non-profit that benefits the troops in Afghanistan. Although the rally was "not political" it was held at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the same day as the anniversary of the Martin Luther King, Jr "I have a Dream" speech. Alveda King, Dr. King's niece, was present at the Beck Rally.

Also present was Sarah Palin. Many liberals criticized the rallies as a disguised Tea Party event. The rally was blogged about for over a week after its conclusion, and to this day there's not a straight answer on the attendance at the rally.

Given that the Jon Stewart rally is drawing satellite audiences around the US, it will be hard to tell how many people attended either in person or via these satellite parties. Still yet, the Jon Stewart rally and Steve Colbert March are poised to be successes.

Glenn Beck: Jon Stewart "Restoring Sanity" Rally and Colbert "March to Keep Fear Alive" a Consipiracy

Glenn Beck thinks Jon Stewart's "Restoring Sanity" rally and Colbert's "March to Keep Fear Alive" rally are a left-wing conspiracy, aimed at getting the nation's youth to vote. Glenn Beck's rally conspiracy theory is tied into the labor unions, which isn't exactly unlike the Fox News show host.

Now, Glenn Beck does have some good ideas, but these rallies are pretty much just a joke playing off the restoring honor rally. Of course, being that Stewart and Colbert are two high-profile left wing comedians and political personalities and Beck is a high-profile right wing political personality (but definitely not a comedian.) There's bound to be some friction between them.

However, Beck thinks that this rally will get the youth energized and have them 'vote with the labor unions.'

Despite Beck's insistence that the rally will help the liberals, many Democratic strategists claim that the rally could actually hurt the Democratic efforts by attracting all of the die-hard activists who typically knock on doors the weekend before the elections.

What do you think of Glenn Beck's comments about Jon Stewart & Steven Colbert's rallies?

Another Glenn Beck Rally Draws a Tea Party Crowd in Illinois

Another Glenn Beck Rally, "Right Nation 2010" brought Tea Party activists and supporters to the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The Glenn Beck rally sold around 5,500 tickets ranging in cost from $50 to $1,200 each. Of course, Glenn Beck was one of the keynote speakers.

The controversial Fox News host has been trying to get out a message that things need to change in the United States.

"Will you all raise your right hand and swear you will stop sending politicians to the rest of us," he said. "We must change directions. The kind of change America was looking for was a restoration of our honor, principles, values and the entrepreneurial spirit." Is the message that Glenn Beck had for the crowds.

Of course, the appearance drummed up controversy and has shaken up the Illinois Gubernatorial race. Republican candidate Bill Brady came to the Right Nation 2010 rally, but Pat Quinn - the incumbent/Democratic candidate crticized the move, noting that Beck doesn't align himself with any party and doesn't seem to put people together.

The attendance at this week's Glenn Beck rally was a far cry from the Restoring Honor Rally, but whenever he speaks, people listen whether they love him, or love to hate him.

Glenn Beck Rally Attendance Controversy Explained

Glenn Beck's rally attendance controversy continues, and CBS news explained yesterday how the 87,000 crowd estimate came to be. Those who actually went to the Glenn Beck rally believe that far more people came than the 87,000 reported by the news agency.

The article points out that although the photos and videos look like hundreds of thousand of people were present, looking at the photos and videos alone doesn't take into consideration how tightly packed those in attendance were.  That means that a rather large crowd can look small and vice versa.

Still yet, Beck and others say there were hundreds of thousands of people present.  Beck is in the position where it's expected to over exaggerate how many people were at the rally. However the disparity in the numbers is alarming.

What's the cause? Are the "scientific" estimates correct? If so, does Beck want to make the crowd sound larger?? Are the estimates of people who attended correct? If so, does that mean that the current administration has something to worry about?

Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally Attendance and a News Website Launch

Glenn Beck's rally attendance was greater than estimates. Those who attended the Glenn Beck rally are likely very excited about the controversial Fox News commentator's new site.

TheBlaze.com is a place for conservatives to go get their news. Armed with a couple of ads for FreedomWorks.com, an organization that is heavily involved with the Tea Party movement, the site will likely grow in controversy as Beck has over the years.

CBS news reported Glenn Beck's rally attendance to be around 87,000 - although people there and people who viewed the numerous videos and photos indicate that the crowd was at or above the 300,000 mark.

The aftermath of the Glenn Beck rally, attendance controversy, and Beck's comments has been heated as expected. After the rally, he was asked by Chris Wallace about some comments he made about Obama in the past being a racist. Click here to see Beck's shocking results, and his claims that Obama's religion isn't really "Christianity."
