oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has been going on for over 60 days. The updates for the BP spill and the live feed continue to be on the forefront of the minds of many Americans. Today, the containment cap woes continued on as repairs to the LMRP have caused more oil to spill into the Gulf.
The containment cap was hooked to the broken well head, and was containing at least a portion of the oil. A robotic submarine bumped into the cap, and now it has to be repaired as there are fears that crystals could form under the head, clogging it up.
This releases hundreds of thousands more gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, even if the damage didn't occur, rough waters in the Gulf due to the weather could cause crews to pull away from work for a few days.
In the world of politics, it's been announced that 50% of Americans disagree with Obama on Oil Spill results. He fares better than Congress and BP. 42% of Americans approve of how he handled the tragedy.
