The Koran Burning has been cancelled, and did not take place at the Dove World Outreach Center as planned on September 11. Terry Jones, the mastermind behind the Koran Burning backed down after worries that any such incident would have major repercussions for troops in Afghanistan, in addition to further the divide felt between the American and Muslim communities.
There were some deaths associated with his plan, as anti-Quran burning protests in Afghanistan caused two deaths and at least four injuries.
So even though the event was canceled, there's still blood involved - and innocent people outside the situation died.
The feelings between the Muslims and the Americans remains to be highly divisive. Hard feelings on either side are evident, and the Koran Burning is just one indication is that. Do you think it is good that it was canceled.
