The Koran Burning has been cancelled, and did not take place at the Dove World Outreach Center as planned on September 11. Terry Jones, the mastermind behind the Koran Burning backed down after worries that any such incident would have major repercussions for troops in Afghanistan, in addition to further the divide felt between the American and Muslim communities.
There were some deaths associated with his plan, as anti-Quran burning protests in Afghanistan caused two deaths and at least four injuries.
So even though the event was canceled, there's still blood involved - and innocent people outside the situation died.
The feelings between the Muslims and the Americans remains to be highly divisive. Hard feelings on either side are evident, and the Koran Burning is just one indication is that. Do you think it is good that it was canceled.

Koran Burning Cancelled, 2 Dead in Afghanistan from Quran Burning Protests
The Koran Burning cancelled news was welcome news for Muslims. However, Quran burning protests in Afghanistan still left two dead. Although Terry Jones from Dove World Outreach in Gainesville Florida cancelled his plans to burn the Koran, he still has blood on his hands.
CNN reports that before Jones made his announcement that the event was cancelled, protesters gathered in Afghanistan. Security forces had to open fire into a crowd to keep them from entering the office of the governor of Baraki Barak region.
At least four other individuals were injured as a result of the incident as well.
Terry Jones, a pastor in Florida made plans to burn the Koran in protest of the Ground Zero mosque. The end result was mass outrage across the world, plus pleadings from world leaders to not undertake the event. This radical pastor from Florida was able to capture the attention of the media, although no plans are made to move the Ground Zero mosque despite the Koran burning being cancelled.

"Burn a Koran Day": Animosity or Insight?
"Burn a Koran Day" is the idea of Terry Jones. Jones is getting a lot of controversial discussions going, as there are a group of Christians who are against the move, as well as the Islamic community in general. The Obama administration has called the move blatantly "un-American", but yet the group still persists.
Not everyone hates the move. People across the country are applauding the move, and applauding Terry Jones from not backing down in the face of adversity.
So does this depict animosity or insight? On one hand, it is a hateful move - one you would expect from radical Islamics, only instead of Korans they would burn Bibles and US Flags. On the other hand, these people are exercising their right to free speech - a Constitutional right at that, which makes the act...I hate to say it, but very American.
Although it's understandable to have hatred towards Muslims, energy would be better spent trying to get along, rather than protesting against one another.

Burn a Koran Day Begins a Big Controversy
"Burn a Koran Day" and Quran burning in general is opening up a can of worms. A pastor in Gainesville Florida decided to start up a Koran burning ceremony in protest of the Islam radicals. The State Department has come forward and said that the proposed event is "un-American."However, the part of America that makes it "American" is that it is a freedom of expression. The Koran Burning day is in protest of the 9/11 attacks, and is showcases the sentiment that experts thought would be present after the attacks.

Little is done to combat other countries protesting the US by burning our flags, and I'd venture to say little would be done if a group of Muslims decided to burn a pile of Bibles.
Of course the sentiment isn't one that evokes friendly feelings, but the fact of the matter remains that Americans and the Muslim world is at odds right now. There's little that can be done until both sides can get along, and right now it doesn't look like either side is ready to get along.
