In the end, ABC or another getting Rick Sanchez will be a double whammy for CNN, who recently hired Eliot Spitzer to replace Sanchez.
Yes, that Eliot Spitzer. The call-girl scandal-laden former New York governor.
However, Sanchez has gotten a lot more press since getting fired, and it may actually serve to catapult his career. On the other hand, the termination of Sanchez is only the latest indication of the network seeming to get out of control.
I stopped watching CNN when Lou Dobbs left.
As of this time, ABC has not commented on interviewing Rick Sanchez after being fired.
i stop watching cnn myself rick was my favorite, im gonna miss rick list.
ReplyDeleteI love rick sanchez , we r missing him , such a good anchor
ReplyDeleteThank god!! Rick Sanchez was the worst anchor on CNN. Also, Lou Dobbs was a pretend Independent, I'm glad he's gone too.
ReplyDeletePlease, Rick Sanchez and Lou Dobbs are completely egotistical blow-hards. Also, Dobbs is angry and biased and preys upon people's ignorance-based fears. Come to think of it, I am shocked that he hasn't joined Fox News and made millions
ReplyDeleteRick's list is one of the good things that has happened to CNN. He inspired us young people to watch TV , watch CNN just because it is Rick. He has used the social media in a charming way that gets us young people involved. Too bad CNN but you know that might be good news for your competition.
ReplyDeleteSpitzer replacing Sanchez? Are you kidding. Maybe they offered Spitzer some fringe benefits Sanchez did not want. Somebody should look into this!
ReplyDeleteoh forgawdsake! bring him back... his candor was refreshing. cnn actually needs more of it, not less. and they need to talk to ali velshi about slowing down - his interviews make me anxious -they're so hurried with his "uh huh" "uh huh" "uh huh" 50 times in succession.
ReplyDeleteWhat he said on a radio station should not of got him fired from his show Rick's List. He was one of the best reporters on CNN.
