Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN and Continues Apologizing

Rick Sanchez fired from CNN and continues apologizing. Rick Sanchez, the former CNN contributor was fired after calling Jon Stewart a bigot on a Sirius radio show. He has since apologized several times.

Despite Sanchez’s apologies there’s no indication that anyone is hiring him any time soon.

Sue Sanchez, Rick’s wife took to Facebook and apologized for her husband’s word, and blamed his poor choice of words on “exhaustion.”

Sanchez then issues a statement saying he called Jon Stewart, and admits that the comments he made should have never been made.

More on Rick Sanchez here.

ABC’s Good Morning America interviewed Rick, and he said he’d “absolutely” go back to CNN and called Stewart the “classiest guy in the world.”

Yesterday, Sanchez participated in an online discussion at the Washington Post and once again showed regret for his words.

So far, there’s no indication that Rick Sanchez, who was Fired from CNN will be re-hired by the network or anyone else any time soon.

Rick Sanchez Fired...Come Back to CNN Rick, or Not?

Rick Sanchez fired from CNN, and many want Rick to come back to CNN. After all, CNN replaced Sanchez with Eliot Spitzer, and many people aren't very happy with the change. However, there were many Americans who were very offended by Rick's anti-semantic attitude, and his racial slurs which mentioned Jews.

On a Sirius radio show, Rick went on a rant and made racial slurs about Jon Stewart (a Jew) and pointed out that the media is "ran by Jews."

I never thought of being Jewish as a bad thing. Out of all the people I know, most of the brightest, kindest, most generous people are Jewish. Still yet, Jon Stewart did like to rip on Rick Sanchez and Rick was likely just biting back.

There are a lot of people who have done more offensive things and didn't lose their job, status, etc - so should Rick Sanchez come back? There's a lot of people glad he's gone, and a lot of people who miss him. Where do you stand?

Rick Sanchez Fired And Wants CNN To Consider Him Rehired

Rick Sanchez fired, and wants CNN to consider him re-hired. Rick Sanchez was fired by CNN after making comments about Jon Stewart that were offensive. It's been over a week, and the only rumors of Rick Sanchez finding work have been pegged at the possibility of ABC. However, no network seems interested in Sanchez after the comments he made on a Sirius radio show.

The comments were anti-semantic, and therefore networks are likely afraid that Sanchez will, one day, go Mel Gibson on them and blow up in an anti-Jew tirade. Unlikely to happen, I know but he did complain about the media empire being "controlled by Jews." If that's actually the case and those in charge of hiring are Jewish...would you re-hire Sanchez back?

Without the gig at CNN, it's worthwhile to wonder what Rick Sanchez will do. Will he go back to CNN, or will he have to work at a local network?

Rick Sanchez wants his old CNN job back. Can't blame him for that. Honestly, with CNN hiring Eliot Spitzer, I would like to see Rick Sanchez on CNN too.

Rick Sanchez Fired After Jon Stewart Bigot Claims

Rick Sanchez fired after Jon Stewart bigot claims. Former CNN news anchor Rick Sanchez was fired after calling Jon Stewart a "bigot" on a Sirius XM radio show. Those comments are likely something that the former CNN employee regrets.

Jon Stewart is Jewish. Not only did Rick Sanchez say that Jon Stewart was a bigot, he also said that the media is "ran by Jews."

Stewart received an apology from Rick Sanchez, according to Sanchez's wife. In a week, Sanchez has gone from "excited" about his prospects to wanting his old job back.

He admitted to having a "chip on his shoulder" described Jon Stewart as the "classiest guy" and admitted that his comments were offensive.

Considering that CNN hired Eliot Spitzer to take up the slack, I think Jon Stewart returning wouldn't be that bad an option.

Should Rick Sanchez, fired CNN correspondent get his job back after the Jon Stewart bigot comments?

Rick Sanchez Fired by CNN Advertises Jon Stewart Rally

Rick Sanchez fired by CNN advertises Jon Stewart's "Restoring Sanity" rally. One "Sirius" thing that Rick Sanchez said on an XM radio show is that Stewart is a "bigot." He also said that the media empire that is CNN is ran by Jews. Now, Rick Sanchez is unemployed and Jon Stewart is laughing.

Actually, the comments catapulted Jon Stewart's name even farther into the news. Chances are if you didn't know that Jon Stewart was hosting a rally on 10/30 at the National Mall, you did after you found out that Rick Sanchez was fired by CNN after calling him a bigot.

The Jon Stewart rally is a spoof of the Glenn Beck rally, although many in political circles claim that Stewart and his co-conspirator Stephen Colbert will still be able to deliver a serious message even if the rally is hosted by two comedians.

The Jon Stewart rally will be huge, and I wouldn't be surprised if the attendance was much, much larger than the Glenn Beck Rally.

If anything, Jon Stewart should THANK Rick Sanchez and CNN for giving him that much more free publicity for being fired from CNN.

Eliot Spitzer CNN Anchor Brings Low Ratings

Eliot Spitzer, CNN Anchor? Yes, and he brought low ratings to his first newscast. Eliot Spitzer is the former New York governor who had to resign after a massive prostitute ring scandal, and now he's on CNN's new news show, Parker/Spitzer.

The message they are sending is that it's not okay to diss Jews and call comedians bigots but it IS okay to be involved in a large scale scandal and be forced to resign from your post as a high profile politician.

Perhaps it's CNN's way of trying to be more like Fox News? At least that's what some people are saying. The train wreck that results from Rick Sanchez being fired just seems to get worse and worse.

MSNBC and Fox News are said to be "not interested" in Rick Sanchez. Who is? Click here to find out.

What did you think of CNN hiring Eliot Spitzer? How long do you think it will last?

Rick Sanchez Fired and ABC Interviews Post-CNN Sanchez

Rick Sanchez fired. CNN fired Rick Sanchez for calling Jon Stewart a bigot, and now ABC is rumored to be interviewing the not-so-disgraced newscaster for Good Morning America. Now, this is good in a way. There are many people who enjoyed Rick Sanchez's newscasts, and were sad to see him go. Honestly, there are some out there who have done far worse and were never fired.

In the end, ABC or another getting Rick Sanchez will be a double whammy for CNN, who recently hired Eliot Spitzer to replace Sanchez.

Yes, that Eliot Spitzer. The call-girl scandal-laden former New York governor.

However, Sanchez has gotten a lot more press since getting fired, and it may actually serve to catapult his career. On the other hand, the termination of Sanchez is only the latest indication of the network seeming to get out of control.

I stopped watching CNN when Lou Dobbs left.

As of this time, ABC has not commented on interviewing Rick Sanchez after being fired.

Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN - Could Sanchez Come Back to Reporting?

Rick Sanchez fired from CNN? You would think that Rick Sanchez getting fired would be devastating to him. After all, his termination was rather public. Everyone knows that he called Jon Stewart a "bigot" and then made racial slurs about Jews running the media.

Sanchez has apologized to Stewart, and of course Stewart has taken to his show to make fun of Sanchez. Who knows...the former CNN correspondent may even come on Stewart's show.

Still yet, I'm wondering something. What happens to a national newscaster when they are fired in such a public way? Will another network pick him up? Will he take to online blogging? Will he work for a local TV station or newspaper?

It's uncertain what Rick Sanchez's future is. Some say he shouldn't have been fired from CNN. What do you think?

Rick Sanchez Fired by CNN, Suzanne Sanchez Goes to Facebook

Rick Sanchez fired by CNN? Why? Well, it all started on a Sirius radio show, where Sanchez called Comedy Central show host Jon Stewart a Bigot and then proceeded to say that the media is ran by Jews. There's a big controversy over the whole thing, but that's not unusual when a high profile individual loses their job in such a highly politicized manner.

Suzanne Sanchez, his wife offered the following insight on her Facebook page: "rick apologized to jon stewart today. they had a good talk. jon was gracious and called rick, 'thin-skinned.' he's right. rick feels horrible that in an effort to make a broader point about the media, his exhaustion from working 14 hr days for 2 mo. straight, caused him to mangle his thought process inartfully. he got ...caught up in the banter and deeply apologizes to anyone who was offended by his unintended comments."

Jon Stewart is a good egg, you have to admit - he doesn't hold a grudge. That doesn't mean he won't make fun of Sanchez on his show, though.

Do you think that CNN should reinstate Rick Sanchez? DO you think CNN was right to Fire Rick Sanchez?

Rick Sanchez Fired From CNN? Come Back, Rick!

Rick Sanchez fired from CNN? Come back Rick! Or, at least that's what some people are saying. In a whirlwind of events that started with an unorthodox interview in which Sanchez called Jon Stewart a bigot and bashed the media industry, claiming it was "ran by Jews."

However, Sanchez has a strong fan base. He's controversial, and fit in quite well with CNN. He believes in illegal immigration - but only if the immigrants are Latino. He's outspoken, and one of Jon Stewart's regular targets.

Over 1,700 people have joined a Facebook page to bring Rick Sanchez back. Some people say they are even boycotting CNN until he's back in the game. Somehow, I don't think that these viewers will be tuning in to FOX.
They're more likely to be an MSNBC crowd.

So what do you think about Bring Rick Back? Are you mad that Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN?

Rick Sanchez Fired by CNN About Jon Stewart Comments

Rick Sanchez fired by CNN? After Jon Stewart Bigot comments, Sanchez was let go. Perhaps it wasn’t the anger he expressed towards one of America’s favorite political comedians, perhaps it’s the fact that he called out his network and said that it was ran by a bunch of Jews. That’s probably the kicker in this case.

Of course, Stewart will get the last laugh and he’s already taunted his nemesis. However, don’t be surprised if the former CNN newscaster heads out to Stewart’s show as a guest. I think he will have plenty of time on his hands.

The words were expressed during a Sirius Radio interview, and they lead to the ultimate dismissal of the former CNN correspondent. It’s an unfortunate thing for him, but he should know better than to express negative thoughts and racial slurs about other TV personalities and the entertainment industry in general.

This is only the latest in CNN firings. Lou Dobbs was let go several months back. Many thought he’d go to Fox, but so far that hasn’t happened. What about Rick Sanchez? After he was fired by CNN for Jon Stewart comments do you think he will head over to Fox? What are your thoughts on the situation?

Rick Sanchez Fired, CNN Fires Correspondent, Calls Jon Stewart 'Bigot'

Rick Sanchez fired? Yes, Rick Sanchez was fired by CNN after a rant on a Sirius radio show indicated that he feels as if Jon Stewart is a "Bigot" and that the entertainment industry is "ran by Jews." The unfortunate comments by the former correspondent were mocked by some of his rivals, including MSNBC's Keith Olbermann.

Some venture to say that Rick Sanchez could be picked up by Fox News. Of course, as of right now there's no indication that could be the case. However, whenever someone is fired from a big network, there's a buzz over whether or not Fox - the black sheep in the news world - will try to pick them up.

Remember when Lou Dobbs quit? Pretty much everyone thought he was headed to Rupert Murdoch's Fox News. That hasn't transpired as of yet.

While I wouldn't rule out a Sanchez exodus to Fox News, saying that the media empire is ran by Jews and calling Jon Stewart a bigot isn't going to win him any brownie points. At this point, I think it's wait and see, but I can't see Fox News hiring Rick Sanchez any time soon.

Rick Sanchez Jon Stewart A Bigot Comment Causes CNN Firing

Rick Sanchez' Jon Stewart a Bigot comment causes CNN firing? Rick Sanchez, the CNN personality has been fired.  On a Sirius radio broadcast, Sanchez called Jon Stewart a Bigot.  Now, I have to give Jon Stewart props because he's a comedian and he still gives Glenn Beck respect where respect is due.  However, although Sanchez's statements may have been offensive to some do they really warrant getting fired?

In the Sirius radio address which lead to the dismissal of the CNN personality, he not only called Jon Stewart a Bigot, he also said that the media industry is ran by Jews.

Well you might say "so what" well, he meant it in a derogatory way.  There's no room in this world, particularly the liberal media, for racial slurs against any ethnic background.

Glenn Beck vs Jon Stewart click here.

Keith Olbermann from MSNBC is in his glory right now.  He even mocked his rival's termination.

It seems to me as if Rick didn't like that Jon Stewart oftentimes made fun of him on his comedy show.  Perhaps he didn't understand the Satirical nature of the show at hand.  Sanchez's rant about Stewart ultimately lead to his dismissal.

Needless to say the (former) CNN contributor won't be speaking at the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert rallies later this month...
