Rick Sanchez Fired And Wants CNN To Consider Him Rehired

Rick Sanchez fired, and wants CNN to consider him re-hired. Rick Sanchez was fired by CNN after making comments about Jon Stewart that were offensive. It's been over a week, and the only rumors of Rick Sanchez finding work have been pegged at the possibility of ABC. However, no network seems interested in Sanchez after the comments he made on a Sirius radio show.

The comments were anti-semantic, and therefore networks are likely afraid that Sanchez will, one day, go Mel Gibson on them and blow up in an anti-Jew tirade. Unlikely to happen, I know but he did complain about the media empire being "controlled by Jews." If that's actually the case and those in charge of hiring are Jewish...would you re-hire Sanchez back?

Without the gig at CNN, it's worthwhile to wonder what Rick Sanchez will do. Will he go back to CNN, or will he have to work at a local network?

Rick Sanchez wants his old CNN job back. Can't blame him for that. Honestly, with CNN hiring Eliot Spitzer, I would like to see Rick Sanchez on CNN too.

  2. Rick needs to live in his skin. Actions have consequences. The upside is because of the economy he can draw MANY weeks of unemployment.

  3. Rick Sanchez could be rehired by CNN or a similar network as long as he stays true to what got him there. He cannot change the way he is, the comments he makes, the joking at times, the inquisitive nature about him. He would not be well liked if he changed. So he said Jew's control the media, big deal,,,its true. He took back offending anyone, calling Stewart to apologize, ok Rick did what he had to do,,,but he cannot be held with a ball and chain,,he has to speak his mind.

  4. I miss Rick's List! I pray he finds work worthy of his talents.
He is honest this is what keeps me listening to him.
He apologized and BTW his last name is Sephardic.

  5. To rehire Rick Sanchez on a National TV network it would mean that we accept racism, anti-Semitism and bias reporter. There are plenty of good fair reporters which deserve Sanchez’ position and who will report their views honestly and fairly.

  8. We did not hear anything so offensive in his comments on the radio. We are very sensative to slurs and very committed to Gods chosen people, the Jews -Isralie people. Rck is a beligered minority and has a right to his opinions. He has always been edgy sometimes a little too much for my taste. However, the guy John was egging him on and was totally out of line.

  9. Rick Sanchez was a buffoon in Miami until he got promoted to national buffoonery at CNN. Too bad he didn't grow up with the job and figure how to keep his big mouth zipped.

  10. I like Rick Sanchez and he should be rehired. Nobody is perfect and he already apologized.

  11. Is anyone from Miami? Perhaps you need to know he got away with murder!! He was driving drunk from a football game, hit a pedestrian, left the scene and got away with it, long story short. The man, Jeff Smuzinick, was paralyzed and died five years later in an ALF. Rick came back, hours later, was tested for DUI and blew .15%, I believe. The limit is .10% in Florida. He lied and said he only had drinks at home, perhaps to make him feel better about leaving a man dying in the street at his hand. Ricardo (his REAL name) was VERY upset and made a scene when the cops gave him the breath test, because he felt it would have a negative impact on his career. Rick then has the audacity to give his "opinion" on anything!! Please! I think it's fantastic that karma finally came around and bit him on his toochis! He should feel lucky that legal loopholes and expensive attorneys let him live his life and raise his children, while Jeffery's family has had no financial compensation, not so much as a visit from Mr Sanchez, the ex- news anchor. No apology and as I recall it is not allowed to be a topic in interviews with him!! I am not surprised that he can sit there and spit crap about how he feels he has been "the victim" and we are supposed to listen to his woe and feel sorry?? Not!!! It has been a LONG time coming so Ricardo Leon Sanchez de Reinaldo can FINALLY get a taste of his own medicine and sooner hopefully than later he can stop and realize we ALL know who he REALLY is!! From your "Hometown the 305" Mr. Rick Sanchez LMFAO.

  12. This is the first time I have heard anything at all about the above post. I truly hope it is not true. However, I have a son who was picked up for a DUI and wasn't.....the test was faulty, however it ruined his career as a police office for years.....after 7 years he still carries it with him. He didn't have an accident, he was supposedly driving erratically. Okay......does he deserve to spend the rest of his life paying for it? Look at the athletes who have done so much worse and have had the opportunity to play again. What's fair is fair. Let's do what God wants.....forgive the sinner and look into yourselves.

  13. American Jews make up only 2% of the population of America. Yet: 46% make over $100,000 per year, they make up 15% of the U.S. Senate, 13% of the U.S. House of Representatives, 67% of members of the Board of the Federal reserve, 33% of the U.S. Supreme Court. Media: Just taking CNN only, 55% of corporate officers for TBS, which owns CNN, are Jewish. On air, Larry King, John King, Howard Kurtz, Eliot Slpitzer, Jeffrey Toobin, Paula Zahn, etc.. Rick Sanchez has nothing to apologize for.

  15. Rick sanchez was not offensive he used income as his demographical indicator to express his opinion. Everyone who believes in a creator knows the value of forgiveness. Rehire rick sanchez his show was the best. The interview with the NY republican candidate for mayor was worse and no one complained because that man was a Muslim. This religion is also a minority, but the majority of US does not approve because of 19 men who defined this religion. Would the network have reacted the same way if the statements were about any other religion.

  16. Sanchez is a schlock tabloid type and does not belong on CNN. Even before he finally got his foot stuck in his mouth, he was offending a lot of viewers because of his tasteless and often gleeful reportage of terrible stories about lives being ruined, etc.

there's blogs and discussion groups all over the internet nailing this guy for the jerk he is.

the story of the mother and two daughters who were raped and tortured and murdered really got him going with that tabloid tone. it was disgusting watching him enjoy the drama of all that.

good riddance, "Mister" Sanchez. you're an embarrasement to the business.

  17. wow, glad he's off the air...he has a certain arrogance in his reporting and I have taken some of his comments as very overly macho and offensive to certain communities... bye bye richardo bye bye no loss....

  18. Joe Sobran who died recently had this to say about Jewish media power:

“Jewish control of the major media in the media age makes the enforced silence both paradoxical and paralyzing. Survival in public life requires that you know all about it, but never refer to it. A hypocritical etiquette forces us to pretend that the Jews are powerless victims; and if you don’t respect their victimhood, they’ll destroy you. It’s a phenomenal display not of wickedness, really, but of fierce ethnocentrism, a sort of furtive racial superpatriotism.”

    he should be fired permanently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. I love this situation. If he don't get hired back what does it mean? Could it be Sanchez was just making a statement that is so true? What is the big deal?

  22. What a wuss.

Why don't these people just say "WTF" and write a book detailing the jewish media control?

He is sitting on a goldmine.

  23. If you want to understand why any critical discussion of Jewish people or Israel is met with such harsh resistance in the United States, watch the documentary called "Defamation" by Jewish-Israeli filmmaker Yoav Shamir. It's on NetFlix (right now available streaming). Another documentary (that's less general and more focused on foreign policy) is called "The Israel Lobby" by Dutch filmmaker Marije Meerman.

  24. That was a terrible accident and has not merit as to his firing at CNN.

Let's get real here, Rick is a good anchor who shares real life news with the public and one of the few who do today! The big lost is for CNN who ratings continue to decrease and having the new show with Spitzer is boring!!!! I hope CNN loses all their viewers!! STOP watching CNN
