Prop 19 Polls Against Marijuana Legalization?

Prop 19 Polls Against Marijuana Legalization? Hell just froze over. Prop 19, or the marijuana legalization ballot measure is losing support in the state of California. Where one would think that this would be a sure fire political victory, it's losing support.

Bloomberg reports that a Field poll indicates that 42% support Prop 19, whereas 49% are against the measure. There's a margin of error of about 3%, and if you add up there's still an undetermined amount of likely voters. This one could go either way folks.

The measure is proposed to create an economy within California, thus raising taxes and boosting morale.

But hey...how productive would workers REALLY be if they could smoke dope? Think about it...in California are they going to have their 10:00 pot break, or would the work day start somewhere around noon?

Just sayin...

  3. "boosting morale"? where did you get that from? I've never seen anything about that in the actual bill or in any news or informational source regarding prop 19 anywhere. Could it be like most of the rest of this article, you just made it up as you went along with no idea what you were talking about. Too lazy to do any research? Maybe you would be a little more motivated if you cut back on whatever lazy pills you are taking now. See, you obviously don't smoke pot, and yet you are doing a horrible job, is it possible incompetent people still exist regardless of drug policies? Just sayin, you wrote this at 12:18, could it be that you, the writers workday begins at noon?

  4. Democracy is 51% oppressing the other 49%. If you think that's "freedom" you are a typical American retard.

I'll keep growing my weed and I'll smoke up a doobie any time and place I feel like it. I love Pot !!

Don't tread on my freedoms unless you have a leg you don't want anymore.

  6. Prop 19 leaves a lot of grey areas that have not been addressed. It is easy to give up your rights for a false freedom. It is almost impossible to get your rights back once they are gone. Just dont read the first paragraph and assume. This is a shady bill backed by shady people to fool you into believing that you are getting what you want while they take away more of your freedom.

  8. "This is a shady bill backed by shady people to fool you into believing that you are getting what you want while they take away more of your freedom. "

People act like bills are not updated, no matter what this is a progressive stance to support- squabbling that the freedoms granted are not good enough is ludicrous, they will one day be the proof that the bill should be updated- in other words we gave people a 5x5 plot and the sky didnt fall- lets make that 10x10 ect...

  9. The Federal governemnt made the same claims when NY repealed alcohol prohibition on a state level almost a decade before the country did...

  10. Yup, that is a well thought out argument about the 10:00 am pot breaks, I hear they are scheduled right after the 9:30 beer break, You're a Douche! Just saying you are a douche. Just sayin....

  11. how the fuck are they gonna compare dope with weed!? IDIOTS!

  12. More ridiculous fear based assertions about marijuana legalization. There will be no 10 o'clock "pot break" for workers just like there is no 10 o'clock work break for alcohol right now. Please stop the endless parade of bull-oney
about marijuana. Millions use it RIGHT NOW and the sky is still intact.

Chicken little politics! LEGALIZE IT AMERICA!

And... flawed polling predictions: young adults use cell phones not landlines, so they are not poled. And others may not feel comfy admitting they are voting for pot to a stranger on the phone. As hard as the corporate media tries to convince Californians they don't like prop 19, we have a real fighting chance.

  13. Marijuana should be considered the same as alcohol. You wouldn't go into work drunk would you so why would you go in high? You wouldn't drive a car drunk so why would you when you're high? Everyone has to realize when you are high it is a form of intoxication. Needless to say legalizing marijuana would get rid of all those pointless marijuana laws and help send money where it is supposed too. Legalizing marijuana in California is the first step but I guarantee it will spread to other parts of America

  15. wow.... vote YES..... why... because it's one less drug thats on the street for our kids to get..... its not a bad drug... the fulls that think it's bad shouyld think of when the corner drug dealer runs out and they give someones kids another kind of drug and they OD on it... All the money if and when it passes should go to our schools and other things. It will also give cops something better to do when they get the phone call I smell weed at my house come bust the person next to me... It was legal till 1937... now its not let keep letting drung drives kill people... Not ever has a person kill or OD on Marijuana... I pray and hope nothing bad happens to anyone from any type of drug... legal the good stuff stop making it look bad. I have smoked for over 20 years and not one thing is wrong with me I have a legal right to smoke. Our presidents have smoked weed, Weed is even in the bible...

  16. Most people think that corporations have destroyed this country. I live in NorCal and support cannabis. This bill sucks!!! It will open the door for corporate weed and eventually higher prices through constant taxes. Medical marijuana is a much better system, get a card for 50$ and you're legal. VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. This stuff needs to be legalized. No one has to worry about getting caught with it and can smoke freely. No one will lose scholarships, their jobs, possibly kicked out of their house, nothing! VOTE YES ON PROP 19 AND END THIS STUPID DRUG WAR ALREADY! THEIR IS ONLY POSITIVES THAT IS COMING OUT OF THIS! IF IT STILL REMAINS ILLEGAL, YOU WON'T BE CHANGING ANYTHING!
