Donkey Parasail: A Russian Group Forces Animal to Parasail (Video Link)

Call PETA, we have a forced donkey parasail incident to report! A Russian group has reportedly forced a donkey to parasail over a beach.  This activity, caught on video, took place over the Sea of Avoz and took place as part of an advertisement for parasailing services offered on the beach.

For those who aren’t familiar with parasailing, this is when someone is strapped to a parachute and then drug behind a speedboat at warped speeds.  For humans, this is not cruel.  The person who is parasailing is actually a willing participant in the matter.

The sight of the donkey in the air frightened children.  The animal brayed in anguish as it was ripped up into the air.  When it landed, it was half dead.

Children were screaming at the sight of this.  Russian police were not even called, believe it or not; they found out about the incident only after cell phone camera footage of the incident hit the press.  A police probe into the donkey parasailing event is currently underway.

Had this happened in the US instead of Russia , police would have been all over it – and so would PETA. Forcing an animal to do something such as parasailing is just not cool.

Russian Spy Swap 2010 Deal Puzzles Americans

The Russian spy swap deal is making many Americans scratch their heads. After all, the Cold War has been over for many years. Granted the spy case wouldn't be as high profile as it was had there not been a spicy redhead who was caught and her FaceBook pictures paraded around the press. Still - releasing 10 alleged Russian spies instead of keeping them jailed just doesn't make sense.

Why doesn't it make sense? Russia got 10 alleged spies where the US received four. The US wanted back four individuals that were accused of spying on Russia for the US and Great Britain.

Seems like it would be four for four, or ten for ten - something even keel. However, for some reason or another, the US was willing to give up more for less.

One can't help but wonder what the four alleged American/British spies know. We obviously want them back pretty bad. Some even ventured to suggest that the arrest of the 10 alleged Russian spies was orchestrated in an effort to get the four captured American spies in Russia back.

This is the first spy swap since the Cold War ended, and many wonder if this indicates that there could be a second Cold War underway.

Watching the political tensions between the US and Russia will become more crucial - this Russian spy case is the perfect example of this. Still, many Americans are puzzled why this trade was orchestrated and hopefully there will be some indication that will make it all make sense.

Ray's Hell Burger Becomes Destination of Obama's Lunch with Medvedev

Ray's Hell Burger seems an unlikely spot for Obama's lunch with Medvedev.  However, Ray's Hell Burger -one of the hottest spots in Arlington, Virginia became the destination for leaders of two of the world's superpowers.  President Barack Obama treated the Russian President to a meal at what has become one of Arlington's hottest eateries.

Ray's Hell Burger is located at  1713 Wilson Blvd., Arlington; 703-841-0001. Open for weekend lunch, dinner daily.

Not too long ago, Obama and Biden stole away to the location for a similar lunch venture, prompting much popularity.  Many want to know what makes this burger joint a presidential favorite.

According to the Washington Post, Obama had a traditional all-American cheeseburger, while Dmitry Medvedev added onions, jalepenos, and mushrooms. Perhaps Ray's Hell Burger will dub the meals the "presidential burger" and the "Russian Supreme"? Just a thought...

The choice in restaurants for this meal venture showcases how easy-going the President is.  He doesn't try to be fancy.  When a world leader visits, he's happy taking them to somewhere all-American where they can (almost) rub elbows with the common American.

Ray's was undoubtedly very busy as the pair's visit was likely the cause of a lot of surprise. After all...how often do you see the President of the United States eating at a burger joint?

For those who are wondering if Ray's Hell Burger is affordable for the common American, it is.  The restaurant features many menu items that are under $10 each.

Both Obama and Medvedev are heading to the G-20 and G-8 summits in Toronto, Canada this weekend.
