Wisconsin Exit Polls 2010 showcase a Ron Johnson victory over Russ Feingold.  The Tea Party backed candidate was successful in beating the incumbent, showcasing that the people in Wisconsin are ready for the "change" they signed up for in 2008. 


Many thought that Johnson would walk away in defeat, but that did not happen.  This was a tough race, and one that was watched by the entire US. 


In addition, the GOP has won the gubernatorial race as well, as Scott Walker has become the next governor elect of the state. 


The people of Wisconsin are tired of "politics as usual" in Washington.  The hope is that the elected officials will think of their constituents in Wisconsin and do their bidding up on Capital Hill.

Wisconsin Election Results 2010: Ron Johnson Beats Russ Feingold. The 2010 Wisconsin senate race didn't end as expected, as Ron Johnson beat Russ Feingold. The White House invested in the Feingold campaign, hoping to hold on to the seat.

However, Ron Johnson emerged out of nowhere and took the senate seat. Johnson is a former manufacturer, and a businessman instead of a politician.

This shows that people are increasingly tired with the liberal agenda, and are leaning more to the right seeking the "change" that was promised during the 2010 elections.

Ron Johnson is hoping to bring jobs to Wisconsin, and make changes in Washington that will benefit the state of Wisconsin.

2010 Wisconsin Senate Race Ron Johnson vs Russ Feingold

The Wisconsin Senate Race 2010 sets up a political battle between Ron Johnson and Russ Feingold. The WI race is one that is being watched carefully, as it is one of the key races that could shake up the power in the US Senate. With so much going on right now, it comes as little surprise that people want change.

Feingold is a democrat and an incumbent since 1992. In the normal circumstances, Feingold would be a sure win. He's been in office a long time and hasn't been involved in any wide spread scandal. However, with the disdain for the incumbents, particularly in the aftermath of the Health Care Bill passage, he's going to have to work hard to keep his position.

Feingold is Harvard educated, and got his degree in 1979. He's been in politics since 1982 when he was elected to the state Senate in Wisconsin. He serves on the HSenate committees for the Judiciary, Budget, Foreign Relations, and Budget & Intelligence, and chairs the subcommittees on the Constitution and African Affairs. Another claim to fame was that he was the only person to vote against the PATRIOT Act in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Rasmussen reports put Johnson ahead of Feingold by 7 points. However, the race could be packed full of suspense as some polls only have them a couple of points apart.

Ron Johnson has given speeches for the Tea Party on occasion. He's backed by the Dairy Business Association and Senator Jim DeMint. He's is against additional government spending, the "cap and trade" bill, the health care bill, and the registration of firearms. He wants to reduce taxes, provide solutions for healthcare in the capital markets, and penalizing companies that hire illegal aliens.

The Feingold-Johnson race is indicative of the general push that many incumbents are feeling. With Johnson's relationship with the Tea Party, this is just another illustration of how hard things have become.

Wisconsin Primary 2010 Election Results: Another Incumbent Bites the Dust

Wisconsin primary election results 2010 are in, and during the mid-terms the Senate GOP candidate will have his work cut out for him.  Russ Feingold, the Incumbent democratic Senator, is known for having independent views and has even been willing to vote outside party lines on key issues. 


There's been an Anti- Incumbent sentiment felt in recent years and at minimum the last few months, mainly for endless bailouts, and the lack of communication with the voting public.  The grassroots Tea Party movement has started, and people are calling for America to be restored to its original views and values. 


The ability of Tea Party backed candidates to win primary election goes to show you that the group is able to change the landscape of politics.  However, some people that typically vote Republican may opt for a democratic candidate over one endorsed by the Tea Party. 


Ron Johnson, the winner of Wisconsin's GOP nomination is backed by the state's Republican party.  So far there's no indication that he is also backed by the Tea Party Express.
