Alveda King Addresses Glenn Beck Rally Restoring Honor (VIDEO)

Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was present at Glenn Beck's "restoring honor" rally. King's presence at the rally was rather symbolic, as it was on the anniversary of her uncle's famed "I have a dream" speech. Civil Rights activist Al Sharpton held a parallel rally at the nation's capital titled "Restoring the Dream."

Estimates for attendance at Beck's rally vary from 87,000 to over 500,000. Al Sharpton's crowd totaled about 3,000.

Alveda King said the following of her support for Glenn Beck's rally "I'm joining Glenn to talk about faith, hope, charity, honor. Those are things that America needs to reclaim. Our children need to remember to love each other how to honor each other, their parents, God and their neighbors. I agree with Glenn on all of those principles. So that's why I'm here. For me it's principles over politics."

Alveda King is a pro-life advocate that has publicly condemned her aunt and MLK's wife Coretta Scott King's support of abortion rights.
