Nancy Pelosi Election Results 2010

Nancy Pelosi Election Results 2010. The congresswoman from California who was the nation's first female speaker of the house and dubbed "the most powerful woman in politics" has won another term in office.

Whether or not Nancy Pelosi will serve the term she won during the election results in California is another question. Last night, the GOP took control of the House of Representatives, and Pelosi is expected to pass the torch to John Boehner, who was the House Minority leader.

Boehner, the incumbent from a district in Ohio, gave a very emotional victory speech. It's not certain whether or not Pelosi will head back for another term, as when speakers of the House get ousted they typically bow out of politics.

Pelosi's downfall was the healthcare reform. Amid strong opposition from the American people, Pelosi still lead the way for its passage in the house. After that, the entire country joined together and raised money to oust Pelosi from her post.

What are your thoughts on the Nancy Pelosi election results 2010?

  1. I think Nancy is one of the smartest women in politics and the american people couldn't handle it. She did not single handedly reform health care. Some of the changes were needed and many of the people can't wait to take advantage of the changes. So, what's the realy problem? Shall we say ovaries and breast, people can't handle a women so intelligent and who speaks the truth unapologetically.

  2. You are a moron! Pelosi is the spawn of the devil!

  3. I seriously doubt Pelosi will ever step down FRom her senate position. She isn't smart enough to do anything else. They will have to drag her away kicking and screaming

  7. What nonsense. She may be a shrewd politician, but she's way out there in loony left land, which has alienated a majority of Americans. It has nothing whatsoever to do with gender. That's just crazy talk. The same people who were most adamant to remove her seemed to have no problme with Palin, in general, who is also a woman. The problem isn't gender but world view, and her view of America. While her views may be right in line with her district in California, they run far astray of the views of the average hard-working American.

  8. She is not a senator, she is a congresswoman. In terms of being smart, don't know, don't care. Between Obmama, Reid and her, they choose to shove down healthcare reform quickly, which means it will be really screwed up, because the Federal Government can run anything effectively. Glad she will no longer be the speaker of the house.

  9. Pelosi suffered from 2 problems: 1) In the misogynistic world of politics, an capable, intelligent woman is an unbearable threat; and 2) the Democrats lost the enthusiasm of their base NOT because the majority of the populace was opposed to healthcare reform, but rather, because the reform did not go far enough. The Democrats were elected to bring real and significant change to the status quo and their timid response to the opposition of the right-wing minority disappointed the American majority that supported them in 2008.

  10. Yes you got it, Americans are sexist. Her being ousted is completely about her being a female and has absolutely nothing to do with her socialist agenda. Not the brightest or most original complaint I've heard from a liberal.

    Unreal...

  11. Ugh, somebody drag that worthless sack of meat off of the hill......enough. The American people have had it with her antics. She brings the reputation of all females down a notch.

    A REAL Texas woman.

  12. "2) the Democrats lost the enthusiasm of their base NOT because the majority of the populace was opposed to healthcare reform, but rather, because the reform did not go far enough."

WHICH IS WHY THE MAJORITY OF CANDIDATES THAT WON COMPLETELY OPPOSED OBAMA'S ENTIRE AGENDA... rather than pushing to expand it. In the words of Antoine Dodson "you are so dumb, you are really dumb, for real." ..."You can run and tell that ..... homeboy."

  13. Repubican control of the House means we are going to be rid of the most dangerous person in US politics. Good riddance.

  14. Nancy Pelosi served 4 years as Speaker of the House. She has served her country well and will probably resign her post and let Speaker Tears Boehner try to help us out of the mess that 4 years of democratic leadership has done to us. Pelosi is a far left progressive whose ideas have fallen out of fashion. It's time for change and more change till we get it correct and move this county forward to prosperity and out of the modern social welfare mode.

  16. AS a female voter from Florida...

Thank God the witch is dead.....

    Pelosi ========> You're Out!
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

She does not represent the many strong and smart women. She is rich and could not relate to the middle class citizens.

For all you thinking this is sexist. Wake up. Look at all the congress women that exist as well as Senators and now Govenors.

Pelosi was a lousy congress woman and the people have spoken. Too bad her own district didn't have the balls to vote her out.

  17. Some facts for you: In New York Times poll, 72% of American favored a government adminstered health plan; in a Gallup poll, 76% of people supported guaranteed health care coverage for every American; in a USA/Gallup poll only 8% of the population believed the health care system doesn't need fundamental change (which corresponds to the estimated 10% of the population considered extreme right wing/facist).

  18. haha someone attacks her "smartness" but yet calls her a Senator....WOW! She was the Speaker of the HOUSE.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Apparantly you're not listening. The Republicans ran on jobs, economy and to repeal the health care reform. Did you not see how they picked up 63 seats in the House. What does that tell you. People did not want a Governement Health Care.
How come Pelosi doesn't take her own medicine and get a governement health care. Because she has millions and can afford the BEST.

  20. Unfortunately she won her seat. At least she won't be able to cram her agenda down to everyone else.

  22. I share with my friends and neighbors the grief that the extreme radical Ms. pelosi was re-elected but more importantly I share with you the joy that her power has been removed. She would gain national respect if she would bow out of politics entirely, at this very moment. Money and your circle of friends may buy you votes but it can't fix stupid. Now without her blocking the way and Harry a "Lame Duck" perhaps our country can begin to get back on track over the next two years. Don't ever give up trying to make this not only a better country but a better place to live with honor and pride.
    God Bless America!!!

  23. I am loving the short term memory of the voters....apparently there are different standards for each party. 8 years of republicans in charge put us here but thats ok. 2 years with dems, who attempt to curb the tide of a bad economy, avert the banking failure and hold unemployment (the rate today is the same as when President Obama first stepped into office) and nothing but bitching and moaning and "the country is headed in the wrong direction Does anyone remember when Bush refused to say the word "recession"? Hell does anyone remember that unemployment was rising before the end of Bush's term? Of course not because the American memory is short lived and selective. I am a democrat, but I am not a fan of Nanny Po. I am hoping that the task at hand of economic recovery, establishing or creating new jobs, better oversight of the banking industry while keeping the voter, consumer, American people's interests foremost is truly considered. I want to see what all the hub-bub of the new faces of Republicans is about. It better be spectacular!

  24. You know the funny thing about pelosi? She is an aged liberal who despite the will of the people would rather follow her own ideals because she believes she knows best. It's funny because I am reminded of what Winston churchhill said..... To be young and conservative you have no heart but to be old and liberal you have no mind. Not a verbatim quote but you get the point.

According to this info below, it doesn't look like you can blame the Republicans for the mess we're in based on the fact that they haven't had the control that the Democrats have had for a long time. President Bush only had a certain amount of power since the House & Senate have been controlled by the Democrats for many years (SEE STATS BELOW).

    RedState Morning Briefing
    For November 3, 2010

This is an unusual Morning Briefing because you need to understand what happened while you've been sleeping.
Republican gains are massive. And when I say Republican gains are massive, I mean tsunami.
No, the GOP did not take the Senate and some races are still outstanding, but the Senate GOP has moved to the right. More so, the Republicans picking up, in the worst case, seven seats is historically strong.
But consider that as you wake up this morning the Republican Party has picked up more seats in the House of Representatives than at any time since 1948 - that is more than sixty seats. Ike Skelton, Class of 1976, is gone. Many, many other Democrats are gone.
That, in and of itself, is significant. But that's not the half of it. The real story is the under-reported story of the night - the Republican pick ups at the state level.

There will be 18 states subject to reapportionment. The Republicans will control a majority of those - at least ten and maybe a dozen or more. More significantly, a minimum of seventeen state legislative houses have flipped to the Republican Party.
The North Carolina Legislature is Republican for the first time since 1870. Yes, that is Eighteen Seventy.
The Alabama Legislature is Republican for the first time since 1876.
For those saying this is nothing because it is the South, consider these:
The entire Wisconsin and New Hampshire legislatures have flipped to the GOP by wide margins.
The State Houses in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Montana, and Colorado flipped to the GOP.
The Maine and Minnesota Senates flipped to the GOP.
The Texas and Tennessee Houses went from virtually tied to massive Republican gains. The gains in Texas were so big that the Republicans no longer need the Democrats to get state constitutional amendments out of the state legislature.
These gains go all the way down to the municipal level across the nation. That did not happen even in 1994.
    This was a tsunami.

  28. Pelosi supporters are what they are, the product of the land of fruits and nuts. How anyone can support a woman who leads a runaway train on a collision course while putting everyone at risk should be tarred and feathered. She is no better than a Parliament member such as Lord North in 1776. She was determined to create a socialist country and had her butt handed to her last night. Well you got it Pelosi, the American People "Passed the torch to the Republican's. Now you're going to see what's "In it" for you." That had to be the dumbest quote from an "intelligent woman" that I have ever heard....and they said George Bush was dense.....good luck Pelosi lovers move away with her and start your own lunatic country.

  29. My concern is how did she get there in the first place? Did the Dems want a "fall guy"(in her case a "fall Gal') to blame their inability to bring "CHANGE" to the political arena? Now let's get on with it, California is so far out of step politically, that they re-elected this dead cow for a 5th term, makes one long for term limitations!

  30. Any Speaker of the House who says we need to pass a bill "so we can find out what's in it," doesn't need to be in charge of anything. It was a clear demonstration of her own ineptitude... what a ditz.

  31. Anti-Pelosi fanatics are all crazy. Pelosi is just another politician and any shortcomings she has are the result of your whorish election industry. It's really time to look at it, as it is, not as you wish it to be. Vote for what's best for jobs, health and education. You are running out of time and you let yourselves be hoodwinked by circus clowns again.

  32. Thank God. Pelosi cares more for illegal aliens than tax paying citizens. I hope an illegal runs her old a$$ over after a few to many.

  33. Pelosi's credibility was destroyed the minute she "pledged" to not impeach Chimpy when pressed to do so by a media interviwer prior to the 2006 midterm election.

No matter what a congressional representative's (House Senate) opinion on the need for impeachment of that particular scion of the Bush crime family, making "pledges" at the behest of the media is hardly a way to instill confidence, much reatining one's options/leverage.

The writer of the text above: "Whether or not Nancy Pelosi will serve the term she won during the election results in California is another question," is either very sloppy or misinformed.

Pelosi WILL serve the term she just won, she will not be the speaker but she will serve in the House.

  36. I share to my companions and neighbors the pain that the utmost radical Ms. pelosi was re-chosen but essentially I share to you the happiness that her force has been uprooted. She could increase national appreciation assuming that she could bow out of politics actually, at this very instant. Cash and your ring of companions may purchase you votes but it cannot settle doltish. Notwithstanding without her hindering the way and Harry an "Intermediary" conceivably our nation can start to get once again on track over the subsequently a few years.
