Nancy Pelosi House Minority Leader?

Nancy Pelosi House Minority Leader? Nancy Pelosi won her bid for re-election to Congress, but her party failed to secure the majority in the House of Representatives. This means that her role as "the most powerful woman in Washington" is automatically gone.

But Pelosi isn't going to bow out now. Report are surfacing that she is going to run for the role of House Minority Leader, the role that John Boehner from Ohio held -or currently holds - until the new term begins

Boehner will be the next Speaker of the House GOP leader, or at least that is what everyone is expecting at this time. However, this is not 100% confirmed.

Pelosi has been "blamed" for the healthcare reform bill, which was hastily passed earlier in the spring. Since then, there's been a big push to get her out of her current office as Speaker of the House. I know there were plenty of people hoping she wouldn't even get re-elected, but her district in California is pleased with her performance.

Would you be pleased to see Nancy Pelosi as the House Minority leader, or would you rather see her bow out gracefully?

[HOUSE] Nancy Pelosi Election Results 2010 [UPDATE]

Nancy Pelosi Election results 2010 are available, and believe it or not Nancy Pelosi was re-elected quite easily for another term in the House. However, power has shifted in the House and she will no longer be the Speaker of the House, as that has shifted to Republican John Boehner from Ohio.

John Boehner gave a very emotional speech when the GOP took control of the House. Of course, we have to make it through the Lame Duck session before he gets to take his new role but it's a big change in the government.

It's not 100% certain or not if Nancy Pelosi will actually serve her elected term. She has said she will discuss her options with her family, with her caucus, and pray about results of any of her decisions.

So will she return to the House to serve the term she was elected to? That's still up in the air, but we will provide you with updates. Nancy Pelosi election results 2010 are now available what do you think?

Nancy Pelosi Election Results 2010

Nancy Pelosi Election Results 2010. The congresswoman from California who was the nation's first female speaker of the house and dubbed "the most powerful woman in politics" has won another term in office.

Whether or not Nancy Pelosi will serve the term she won during the election results in California is another question. Last night, the GOP took control of the House of Representatives, and Pelosi is expected to pass the torch to John Boehner, who was the House Minority leader.

Boehner, the incumbent from a district in Ohio, gave a very emotional victory speech. It's not certain whether or not Pelosi will head back for another term, as when speakers of the House get ousted they typically bow out of politics.

Pelosi's downfall was the healthcare reform. Amid strong opposition from the American people, Pelosi still lead the way for its passage in the house. After that, the entire country joined together and raised money to oust Pelosi from her post.

What are your thoughts on the Nancy Pelosi election results 2010?

Nancy Pelosi Re-Elected, But Will She Serve Her Term?

Nancy Pelosi Re-Elected, But Will She Serve Her Term? Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has become under fire by most of the nation, and many Democratic big-wigs have claimed they will not back her if she's re-elected. With the GOP taking control of the house, Pelosi will no longer be eligible for her post as Speaker of the House...that honor will likely go to former Minority leader John Boehner.

The question that remains is this: although re-elected, will Nancy Pelosi serve out another term in the House? Could she really sustain a fall from grace, and in essence still hold her chin up and keep on working for our country's benefit?

This is something that the nation is watching. In the wake of passing the landmark healthcare bill, people across the country donated money to oust speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi from power. It appears as if the anti-incumbent sentiment is ringing strong.

What do you think? Will former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi serve her term, even though she's re-elected?

Before 2010 Midterm Elections, Pelosi and Reid Want Middle Class Tax Cut Votes

Before the 2010 mid-term elections, speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid want to bring a vote about Middle Class Tax Cuts to the floor of the House and Senate. This could be their move to bring some anti-incumbent sentiment to the GOP instead of mainly the Democrats.

Many voters are tired of the decisions that current leaders, in particular those in the Obama administration, are making. In particular, people grew angry over the passage of the controversial Healthcare legislation. Public options, loss of insurance coverage, limitations of insurance coverage, and forcing Americans to get coverage are all things that angered constituents.

The Bush Tax Cuts are set to expire, and the Democrats hope that this is their golden opportunity to turn voters away from the GOP. Many Republican leaders want to extend the tax cuts despite looming deficits and despite many provisions benefitting the wealthiest of Americans.

The Democrats are hoping to "make known" those who oppose simply passing middle class tax cuts without extending all of Bush's tax cut package. Sneaky move, but then again this is American politics.

Pelosi: Unemployment Benefits and Checks Create Jobs?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims that unemployment benefits and checks will create jobs. The unemployment benefits extension still hasn't passed, and perhaps one of the most influential people in Congress has given her opinion on the unemployment debate.

Nancy Pelosi thinks that unemployment checks will actually CREATE jobs.  Sounds kinda like a paradox, doesn't it? After all, how can paying people NOT to work create JOBS?  If you think about it, and listen to her logic - it does make sense.

People without jobs that don't have any income can't purchase goods and services.  This means that demand drops, and then employers need to lay off more workers making the cycle worse.

The same unemployed person with a check will have the ability to purchase goods and services. Jobs are sustained or created as demand stays stable or increases. This helps us dig out of the hole we are in.

On the other hand, there's a fine line of how to pay for said benefits.  IF benefits are paid for by measures that will cost businesses money, then some of the benefits of the checks will be negated.  There are ways to pay for the unemployment benefits that will give businesses incentives to create jobs as well as give Americans the lifeline that they need.

The Senate is currently on vacation. They are holding up the unemployment extension. Once they reconvene, it's hoped that they will pass either HR 4213 or a standalone bill and give Americans the unemployment extension that they need.
