President Obama's New Children's Book 'Of Thee I Sing' Available

President Obama's New Children's Book 'Of Thee I Sing' Available. Which would you rather read: President Bush's "Decision Points", President Clinton's "My Life" or Barack Obama's "Of Thee I Sing."

Before you make your decision, Obama's book is much shorter than the rest. No, not because he's only had two years in office as opposed to eight, but because it's a Children's book.

There's controversy over whether or not it's even appropriate for a president, in office, to even release a children's book - especially one about politics. Does that constitute political indoctrination? That's up for each individual parent to decide.

That being said "Of Thee I Sing" is a book that is written to Obama's young daughters. We haven't seen such young children in the White House since the Kennedys.

According to various reports, the President wrote the book between the time when he was campaigning for the presidency and when he took office - before he took control of the country.

Proceeds of the book will be donated to families of injured military personnel, and there's no plans for the President to do a book tour.

What are your thoughts on President Obama's New Children's Book, "Of thee I sing"

711 Slurpee Summit?

711's "Slurpee Summit" is making a tour from Kansas City up through Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and down around to Washington DC during a "Unity Tour." The "Slurpee Summit" will allow people to choose from red, white, or blue slurpees, or a new flavor "purple for the people" which is a delicious grape flavor.

I know that President Obama was recently asked about drinking a Slurpee with John Boehner - so it will be interesting to see if some of Washington's legislators join in the public and enjoy the free Slurpees during the summit.

Do you think that this is a good move on the part of 711, or do you think that the so-called "Unity Tour" and "Slurpee Summit" is a bit crazy? Will you join in the action, if it comes to your city?

President Obama 11/03/2010 Press Conference Speech

President Obama's 11/03/2010 Press Conference Speech wasn't likely the speech that he wanted to give. In a perfect world, President Obama would have been able to speak about the change that he promised during the election, and how the American people noticed the efforts of his administration.

Instead, he had to chalk it up, admit that he had something to do with the voter discontent, and deliver a professional speech summing up the plans for the next two years.

It's going to be more difficult for Obama to press his agenda through the legislative branches of government. Now, the House is controlled by the GOP, and even though the Senate remains blue there have been some red gains.

Below see a video about President Obama's press conference speech.

President Obama Booed By Hecklers At Blumenthal Rally in Connecticut!

President Obama booed by Hecklers in Connecticut! Can you believe that our President, while on the campaign trail for various democratic candidates for office, was actually heckled by an angry crowd?

The President responded by asking the Hecklers "I don't see why you think this is a useful approach to take." He looked visibly very angry, and rightly so. Even if you don't agree with his political views, he's still the president and demands respect.

So the national attention on the Blumenthal rally is one where the president was heckled. I can't see this benefitting the candidate that is holding the rally any today.

What are your thoughts on the President Obama hecklers? As soon as we get a video of the incident, we will add it to this post so be sure to check back. President Obama booed...who knew?

Egyptian Paper Doctors Photo of Mubarak and Obama?

Did an Egyptian paper doctors photos of Mubarak and Obama? There's a scandalgoing on, and many people are not impressed. Is it at all possible that a photo of our commander in chief with another world leader was doctored? That's the allegations that are coming out.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was shown leading a pack of Middle Eastern Leaders and President Obama. Obama was hosting Middle East Peace Talks at the White House, and was actually leading the pack. Not that it matters to most people, but it's quite comical when you think that a journalist took the time to do some creative photoshopping such as this.

The paper, Al-Ahram, is now accused of not being fair and balanced - a ju
st accusation if they are doctoring these types of photos (come on - didn't they figure it would be featured on another web site?)

Here are the two photographs, courtesy of UK Daily Mail. The Actual photo is the upper right photo, and the doctored photo is below. They are sourced to Getty Images.

President Obama's Children's Book "Of Thee I Sing" Penned Before Presidency?

President Obama's new children's book "Of Thee I Sing" was written for his daughters.  The president, if nothing else, is a fabulous father that adores his little girls. The new book, according to a press release from Random House Publishers, will become available to the public on November 16, 2010.

The President didn't undertake this endeavor as a mean to pad his own pocket.  On the contrary, he claims he will donate all proceeds to charity or a scholarship foundation.

Whenever he President does something, people get riled up. Some believe that the manuscript was written while the President was in office and should have had better things to do - like tending to our flailing nation. However, there are official sources quoted as saying that most of the book - if not all was written well before Obama took office.

The book will take readers on a journey through America's history, showcasing top icons and what they believed. Do you think that it is inappropriate for a high profile political figure to pen a children's book? Do you think that this will open up a chance for political indoctrination?

President Obama Back to School Speech 2010: 2nd Annual Address (Live VIDEO)

Watch President Obama's Second annual back to school speech on September 14, 2010.  Fear of indoctrination were rampant last year when the president was slated to make a back to school speech.  So far this year, the same panic hasn't occurred, and as far as we can tell there aren't widespread plans to remove students from school by their parents.

Still yet, at the last minute people can decide to change their mind and protest, and sometimes that's only to be expected when a political figure speaks.

The 2nd annual address takes place at the Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School in Pennsylvania at 1:00 p.m. Live streaming video is available below.

So what do you think about Obama's second annual speech? Do you think it's good or bad? Do we run the risk of indoctrinating our children by allowing them to listen to political figures at such an early age?

Does Glenn Beck think Obama is a Racist? (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck is quoted as saying that President Obama is a "racist" with a "deep seeded hatred" for white people. Of course, we all know that Obama is a Christian. During an interview with Chris Wallace after the Restoring Honor rally in Washington, DC Wallace did ask Beck some tough questions.

Chris Wallace brought up when Glenn Beck called Obama a "racist." Beck looked visibly uncomfortable. He then tried to backtrack the statement, expressing regret over his choice of words but not all out apologizing.

Beck went on to call Obama's religion a form of "liberation theology."

Obama "IGNORED" the Glenn Beck rally. Click here to read all about it.

Beck goes on to compare himself as a Mormon and Obama's religion, stating that many Americans probably wouldn't call Obama's religion true "Christianity."

Beck's adversaries are quick to chastise his words and point out his judgmental nature. His supporters are quick to applaud him for speaking his mind, no matter who it upsets.

What are your thoughts on Glenn Beck's Obama comments? Do you think that Beck thinks that Obama is racist?

President Obama's Birth Certificant Can't Be Plastered on "First Muslim President's" Head

President Obama's birth certificate has been the subject of much controversy since right wing bloggers took to a conspiracy theory that Obama isn't qualified to be president because he "wasn't born in the USA." In addition, another number of misinformed individuals claim that Obama is "the first Muslim President" of the United States.

Obama, like many Americans, is a Christian.

Many people point to the fact that Obama told the media that Park51 developers had "the right" to build the so-called "ground zero mosque" 300 yards from the 9/11 memorial site.

The separation of church and state, and the right to religious freedom does allow the group to build there - and simply stating that fact does not a muslim make.

Obama was visibly irritated during a TV interview. Of the various rumors regarding his religion "The facts are the facts. We went through some of this during the campaign – there is a mechanism, a network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned out there constantly. If I spend all my time chasing after that then I wouldn't get much done."

He also said he can't go around with his birth certificate plastered on his head.

I guess I can see where Obama would be getting frustrated with all the rumors surrounding him. However, no matter what when you are a politician you are going to have opposition, and rumors will be spread about you. At least Obama appears to be able to handle it.
