[AZ] Arizona Prop 203 Results Available?

[AZ] Arizona Prop 203 Results Available? Another marijuana legalization measure was on the ballot during the 2010 mid term elections. Arizona prop 203 would legalize marijuana in the state of Arizona, but appears to have failed by a very, very narrow margin.

This again signifies why every vote counts.

Among other things, Prop 203 would create not only a way for suffering individuals to seek some relief from their symptoms, but would bring in tax revenue to the state and would also reduce the amount of money heading to Mexico and hopefully bring down drug crimes.

In addition, Prop 19 was defeated in California, which would have become the first state to widely approve the use of marijuana by all citizens, an not just for medical purposes.

It seems that given the narrow margins, marijuana usage is a bi-partisan issue that people are still resistant to. It's sad, but it appears as if Prop 203 has failed. Bummer.

California Marijuana 2010 Proposition Debates

California Marijuana 2010 proposition debates are rolling in. Should California's marijuana proposition, aka Prop 19, pass? Some are saying that the legalization of marijuana across the broad public would be a good thing.

There are some who say that the California's marijuana proposition would create an economy for a state which is suffering 12.4% unemployment. In addition, it would help raise tax revenues for the California state government.

Those against the measure claim that it will inspire drug abuse, bring down worker productivity and increase crime. Arguments that the marijuana legalization will take a product off the black market fall on deaf ears.

The debate will continue for the next few hours or until the polls close tonight. Then, if it passes or fails will open up more debates in the future.

Below see a video about California marijuana 2010 proposition debates:

Legalization Of Cannabis

Legalization of Cannabis...tomorrow, amid all of the speculation that California voters face, they face one ballot measure that is controversial, and that's the legalization of marijuana. Prop 19 is the ballot measure that would legalize the previously illegal drug.

But only in the state of California - as with Gay Marriage, chances are if the law is passed, the federal government will swoop in and act. After all, marijuana is still illegal at the federal level.

Legalization of Cannabis is said to be a new economic source of income for legitimate businesses, and is rumored to bring down crime in the state of California. Opponents say that abuse of the drug will increase, and worker productivity will suffer.

But think of all the people that won't lose their jobs for failing a drug test?

What are your views on the Legalization of marijuana?

"Proposition 19": Did Zach Galifianakis Actually Smoke Marijuana On Bill Maher?

California's "Proposition 19" got an unorthodox endorsement on Friday night. Zach Galifianakis, the bearded comedian featured in "The Hangover" appeared to have lit up a joint while on set with Bill Maher.

Proposition 19 would call for the legalization of marijuana in the state of California, in an effort to raise much needed tax revenue. Proponents of the bill state that it would reduce crime, cut back on drug related crimes, and drug related arrests - thus helping to ease the spending on law enforcement while creating tax revenue.

Opponents of Proposition 19 claim that making pot accessible to the masses will increase addiction, decrease employee productivity, and more.

Still, to think that someone was bold enough to smoke Weed on Bill Maher is quite novel. Below is a video of this unorthodox alleged endorsement of "Proposition 19"...what are your thoughts?

Legal Marijuana Ad Airs Prop 19

Legal Marijuana ad airs? California's Prop 19 legalizes Marijuana, and the first legal marijuana ad has aired. The highly controversial ballot measure seeks to make it okay for people to own a very small amount of marijuana for personal consumption.

Supporters say that legalizing marijuana will help close the looming budget gap experienced in California.

Opponents say that legalizing marijuana will increase crime rates and make the currently illegal substance easy to access for children.

The Federal Government reminds people that marijuana is still illegal at the federal level. The government says they won't rule out legal action if Prop 19 passes. See the legal marijuana ad below:
