Sarah Palin Approval Ratings Don't Improve after Glenn Beck Rally

Sarah Palin's approval ratings haven't improved since the Glenn Beck "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington DC. Palin is charismatic, and as Rush Limbaugh has said she wouldn't go anywhere politically had she stayed in Alaska. Limbaugh made the comment as Palin stepped down as Governor of Alaska mid-term.

Many seem to believe that Sarah Palin will run for President in 2012. Since the Glenn Beck rally, many thought that her approval ratings and popularity would go up. However, that does not appear to have been the case.

The Huffington Post reports of a Vanity Fair/60 minutes poll which indicates that 59% of Americans don't believe that Palin would make a suitable president, compared to 26% who think that she would.

Those on the left may love Palin, if only because of her popularity within the conservative ranks. There are millions who adore her, and her popularity just might win her a GOP candidacy if she does indeed run. Various polls have her within close proximity to Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, among other big name republicans.

Furthermore, if she were to run as an independent, she would take away voters from the conservative Republican party, making it easy for the Liberal democrats to win the office.

Pollster.com even has her with a 36% favorable, 52.7% unfavorable rating.

So what do you think? Do you think that the Glenn Beck Rally helped or hurt Sarah Palin's ratings and image, and do you think she would make a suitable president?

  1. Why do you cite a poll that was conducted August 3–5, 2010 to support your claim that Sarah Palin's approval rating didn't improve after a rally which was held on August 28, 2010?

  2. I pray to God that the Republicans run a Beck-Palin ticket in 2012. That will guarantee Barrack Obama another 4 years in office. Sarah Palin is a moron who has to give interviews from lists because she can't recall simple things like which newspapers she reads everyday. Beck is a bloated buffoon with the ego of Hitler and the intellect of a numbskull. Republicans!!!!! Please run Beck-Palin in 2012!!! Mark Montgomery boboberg@nyc.rr.com
